Epilogue

Lady Darcy: Truthfully I was thinking of it being Ron but then I thought no. I liked the idea of Tonks being a traitor for some reason... Don’t ask me why. Anyway I am glad you liked the update. Here’s the epilogue, short but I hope tidies up some of the loose ends.

Ccrawley: LOL! Ginny is a Weasley after all... I’d like the epilogue of Book 7 to contain a live Harry with children.

Catysmom: Here’s the final chapter.

Mary: Thank you. I fooled myself to.

Rowenn McNair: Yeah, a great plot twist. Told you there was more to come. Narcissa would never turn her back after finding true love after being in such a loveless marriage as I made hers and Lucius to be. Bellatrix was too cliché.

Angelnomiko: LOL! Yeah, Harry is going to have his hands full isn’t he? But he has lots of brother’s in law to help.

DB1: Well, the last and final update for this particular story.

Epilogue

Lucius stood up. He was going to propose a toast. It was a hot summers day; and his friends surrounded him. They were out in his gardens sitting on the ground having a picnic. He had read scenes like this in books but never thought that it would never happen to him.

“Five years ago - to this day - a woman came to visit me in Prison offering to help me if I helped her,” he looked down at his wife who looked up at him smiling. She rubbed her very pregnant belly. “She helped me more than she knew. Much to my shock I fell in love with her; and I am sure she was shocked to fall in love with me. A toast to the wonderful Hermione Malfoy!”

Hermione blushed. She looked at her twins. Two blonde haired, brown eyed, apple cheeked disasters. She loved them though. Lucius Jr was whispering to his sister Luciana. Luciana’s blonde curly hair shone like gold in the sunlight. She turned to Septisimia. Septisimia was Severus and Lily’s dark haired, hazel-eyed daughter the two girls were inseparable. Hermione also had a suspicion that Septisimia had a crush on her son. The thought of that warmed Hermione’s heart for some reason.

Remus and Narcissa were fussing over their daughter. Her name was Rosemary. She had auburn hair and brown eyes. Rosemary looked up at her mother and snuggled into her bosom. Narcissa giggled as she felt her daughter nuzzle her head on her breast. She was an extremely shy girl. Narcissa was told that she could not have any more children after Rosemary; that broke her heart, as she wanted to give Remus a son.

Harry and Ginny were sitting the other end of the tablecloth holding their fourth child. Ginny; like Hermione, was extremely pregnant again. Harry had resigned himself to the fact that he was going to have a big family. His triplets consisted of two boys and a girl. Harry decided to call the girl Petunia. She was more lovable than her namesake. Their two sons were called Keanu and Ronald. Their fourth child, another girl, was called Morgan. Ginny somehow liked Morgan le Fay. Harry had tried to talk her out of it. She explained that as her father was called Arthur she was going to keep the legend in her family somehow.

The two boys were identical with the black messy hair of their father and the dark brown eyes of their mother. Petunia inherited the red hair from her mother and the green eyes from her father. Little Morgan was a mousy blonde with blue eyes. She looked up at her mother and scrambled off her lap and walked up to Lucius Senior.

“Uncle Lucius?” she asked. She was only two but was very advanced for her age. “What were you in prison for?”

“I was not a nice man, Morgan. I was, in fact, a villain!”

“You’re too good looking to be a villain!” Morgan said.

Lucius sounded out a hearty, voracious laugh. He bent down on his knees and took her in his arms.

“I can see that you’re going to have a great future ahead of you,” he let her go and steered her towards his parents.

“Be careful with this one,” he whispered to Harry. “She’s going to be troublesome.”

Hermione looked at Lucius and was about to get up when she paled.

“Lucius!” she said in a panicked voice. “Lucius, I’m going to have a baby!”

Everyone looked at her. Lily jumped up and ran to her friend’s side. Lucius held her hand.

“Get her in the house, Lucius!” Severus said.

Ginny ran to the other side and held Hermione’s hand. Lily and Ginny helped their mutual friend in the house.

“Is she going to be okay, mummy?” Rosemary asked her mother. “She’s not going to die is she? I don’t want Aunty Hermione to die!”

“She’s not going to die. Hermione’s just going to be in a lot of pain for a few hours; but she’ll be all right.”

Harry decided to split Keanu and Ron apart; Keanu had Ronald in a headlock.

“Hey, you two; stop that!”

The boys stopped trying to tear each other apart.

“I almost ripped his head off, dad!” Keanu moaned.

“That’s not nice, Keanu. Now, please, Aunty Hermione is in a great deal of pain; and your mother is going to help her through it. I need you two to be quiet and well behaved for a few hours all right?”

Keanu and Ron looked at each other and rolled their eyes. Their dad was an absolute moron.

~*~*~

None of the Wizards wanted to be near the room apart from Lucius who was pacing up and down worried to pieces over her. Severus watched and sipped some port.

“Have some port it’ll soothe your nerves,” Severus said.

“No thank you,” he replied. “It would be wrong to drink alcohol whilst my wife is in labour. Oh, Severus, what if – I mean – you hear stories, don’t you? There won’t be anyone to...”

“We’re talking about Hermione here,” Severus said calmly. “She’s hardly going to die.”

Lucius sat down only to stand up again. He walked up to the bookshelf. Then made his way to the fireplace. He sat down again and stayed a bit longer only to move again. He was getting restless. Remus and Harry watched this display with amused smirks on their faces.

“Shut up!” Lucius said when he caught the expressions.

He was not very good at the waiting game and he didn’t know what else he could do whilst he was waiting for his wife to give birth. Harry decided to get a game of Wizards chess to play with Remus. The children were at the cottage with Hermione’s parents. They actually loved the children and they behaved around them to.

Lucius decided to pick up a book and start reading. He had read two paragraphs when the door opened and Lily walked in the room. Her smiling lips curved happily and the smirk reached her eyes.

“She’s ready to see you now,” she said.

Lucius got up and took the stairs two at a time to their bedroom. Hermione was sitting in the bed pale and tired but happy none the less. She looked slightly fragile but that was to be expected. She was holding their new baby in her arms. He walked up to her quietly and cautiously.

“It’s a son,” she murmured. “Another boy.”

Lucius and Hermione had been talking and he felt he owed it to Narcissa. He turned around to his ex-wife.

“Hermione and I have been talking,” he began looking at the blonde woman. “We know how heartbroken you were at Draco’s death, and we also know how terrible you felt when you found out you couldn’t have anymore children after Rosemary. Well, Hermione and I were wondering if you’d like to have him for your own? It’s the least I can do for being such a horrible husband to you and such a terrible father to Draco. He’s yours, if you want him?”

Narcissa laughed and ran up to Lucius and flung her arms around his neck and kissed him soundly on the cheek.

“Don’t be silly! He’s your child you can’t give him up, I won’t hear of it.”

Hermione looked up at her husband. “I am going to have to insist!”

“No, he’s your child,” Narcissa said. “I can’t take him. He’s a beautiful lad. I thank you for the gesture but really, as a mother myself; I could never in good conscience tear a child away from his birth mother. Maybe, though, I could name him?”

“All right,” Hermione sighed. Narcissa walked up to the bed and looked into his face.

“Silvius,” she declared.

“Silvius,” Lucius tested the name and he liked it. Hermione sighed.

“Welcome to the world, Silvius Varanus Malfoy,” Hermione said.

“Varanus?” Lucius asked arching an eyebrow.

“It’s perfect,” Narcissa said clapping her hands in delight.

Ginny looked at Narcissa and the two women crept out of the room to leave the couple alone with their new baby.

Hermione melded herself into his body and laid her head on his chest. He had an arm wrapped around her shoulder and the other he caressed his new son with.

“I told you she wouldn’t accept it,” Lucius said.

“I only wanted to help.”

“Hmm, and that’s why I love you ever so much!”

Hermione gazed lovingly into his eyes; all meanings in their expressions were clear and open now.

A/N – Well, I am sorry but this is the final one. The last chapter and it ended happily ever after I feel. You can pair up the various children how you like. I just thought I’d tell you that Harry and Ginny end up with twelve children and Lucius and Hermione have five in total.

Narcissa and Remus definitely just have Rosemary, and Severus and Lily have four more after Septisimia.
