Three Waiting Slytherins
It was dark, but Severus had been asleep all day. He wasn't tired. He was waiting. Just waiting. But with each passing second his ability to just wait was ebbing away.
What was he supposed to do? Just sit there and watch? Just sit there and wait?
God he hated that word!
Wait.
It sounded nasty. It sounded full of dark shadows and creep things.

Lucius woke up slowly. Eileen was curled in his lap and Annie’s hand was in his. On the other side of Annie and Hermione beds, the dark shadow of the dark man was as still as always.
Every one had tried everything to get Snape to go and get some proper sleep in the dungeons instead of in the horrible chairs in the hospital wing - Lucius had even tried using Eileen to emotionally blackmail Snape, but he had only told Lucius to bring her up to the ward.
Annie was only being treated for shock now, and Lucius had gone back to his classes to catch up with revision for his N.E.W.T's. He felt sorry for his girl friend; she would have so much work to catch up on.
Lucius closed his eyes on the dark room and tried to sleep again.

Eileen snuggled closer to her big brother. She knew Lucius wasn't really her brother, but to her he was. He did brotherly stuff with her... like telling tales and seeing which one of them could get their cool-as-a-cucumber mum to get mad first.
And he was a Slytherin.
Even from when she was little, her daddy had explained to her how important it was to be a Slytherin, though the only reason Eileen could make out was because they needed to show her mother that 'No daughter of mine will be a Gryffindor'. They were his exact words.
But...
... Eileen didn't quiet know what a Slytherin was...
