Talking to Draco
Ch 23 Talking to Draco
Draco held his intended tighter to him, growling, “Go away, you are not needed here.”
“I beg to differ, Mr. Malfoy.” A silky smooth voice replied. A swirl of black appeared in front of the pair, followed by the glowering face of Severus Snape. “Draco, release him.” When Draco didn’t move, Severus reached forward and grabbed hold of Draco’s wrists, “Draco,” a low, careful voice, “If you have any feelings for him, at all, you will release your hold on him this moment.” Pulling forcefully, “NOW!” Draco was startled at the anger behind Severus’ words. “Draco, release him! NOW!! We need to discuss this!” Draco loosened his grip on Harry, allowing Severus to pull his arms completely away from Harry.
“Sev, what the…” Draco began.
“Be Quiet.” Severus interrupted, and pulled Harry from Draco’s arms, “Harry…” a pause, “Harry, look at me.” Severus shook Harry gently, “Harry, I need you to take this,” he pressed a vial into Harry’s hand, “Take it now.” Harry uncorked the vial, and drained it in one gulp.
Harry stood there blinking furiously up at Severus. He was confused, he couldn’t figure out what had just happened. Harry felt uncertain and rubbed the side of his neck, still looking curiously up at Severus. “Harry, sit down, I need to speak with Draco for a moment.” Harry blinked a couple more times, nodded, and perched himself on the edge of his bed, continuing to rub the side of his neck where Draco had bitten him.
Draco looked sadly at Harry, feeling angry that Severus made him move away from him. “Sev, what did you do to him?” Draco asked angrily. “We didn’t do anything wrong, I am well within my rights to do as I wish.” Severus rounded on him, grabbing him by the arm, and dragging him out of the room.
“Draco, you dolt of a boy, do you have any idea what you have done?!” Severus pushed Draco against the wall, “How could you use your bond like that! I should have had Harry stay with me when I heard that Cordalina wasn’t going to be here.” He sighed and took a step back from Draco. “He knows about the bond, he knows that you are his intended, and that you are his dominant. But where in that did you think it was made acceptable for you to be angry with him for leaving without telling you? And forcing him to go with you though your strength and the power over him! What is wrong with you!? If you have any feelings for him, you will have a relationship with him, not just keep him around because he is your bonded!! He doesn’t owe you anything! And the sooner that you realize that, the better off you will be!” Severus growled at this point, “And I tell you now that the sooner that you can convince yourself that he is no lesser than you are, the stronger your relationship will be!” He sighed, watching as Draco tried to process the information he had just been given. “Draco, you need to explore something beyond just the connection that you feel, otherwise he will not be happy with you.” At this point he walked back into the bedroom to talk to Harry.
