The library was dark and gloomy. That was usual. It was quiet, except for the occasional rustle or desperate moan from the magical tomes locked in the restricted section. Again, that wasn’t surprising. Madam Pince, the librarian liked it that way. The old witch was wary of any student coming into her space and disrupting the routine. She didn’t like books out of place. Noise of any kind rattled her. The librarian was becoming as bad as Argus Filch in her dislike of students. Of course, there were exceptions. Madam Pince always had a smile for Hermione.

Hermione felt at home in the library. It was quiet, for the most part, and there were so many books to get lost in. it was a safe haven from more rambunctious distractions. She needed the quiet to concentrate. How else was she going to get such good grades?

The hairs on the back of her neck twitched, standing on end. Hermione couldn’t get past the feeling that she was being watched. The paranoia that the young girl felt was getting to the point where she didn’t like to come to the library alone anymore. The bastion of knowledge and academia, the sanctuary from the daily annoyances of her life had taken on a more sinister undertone. Where once she could wander aimlessly along the narrow aisles of impossibly tall book stacks that seemed to sway with the flickering light of the candles, or sit within a cozy alcove with only a book as her company, the library now felt tainted and frightening. There was an angry presence within the chamber. It was unsettling. It was cruel. It was Draco Malfoy.

Hermione sighed heavily.

A faint scraping cut through the silence and she looked up quickly. Recognizing the sound of books being pulled from a shelf, Hermione glanced over to the section on Misuses of Magic and noticed two books were now missing. In their place was a set of cold grey eyes staring at her. They went wide at having been discovered and promptly disappeared.

It amused the young witch, albeit slightly, that the Slytherin wizard actually thought he was sneaky enough to stay hidden. Didn’t he realize that she had spent so much time in the library that every nook and cranny, every little nuance of the chamber was fixed in her mind? Moving several books from a shelf did not go unnoticed. Hermione had helped Madam Pince tidy up the library more than twice.

A shock of platinum blonde hair flashed around a corner, catching Hermione’s eye. She shook her head, vexed. The gloom of the archives was not the place for Draco. He was too fair to hide.

Being easy to spot wasn’t Draco’s only laughable secret spy skill, or lack of skill as the case may be. His long limbs made the Slytherin somewhat clumsy. Nor was he as quiet as he should be. A thud sounded off to the right, as Draco no doubt scuffed his foot against a bookcase. A very muffled curse drifted to Hermione’s ears and the bushy haired girl couldn’t suppress a manic smile.

She could laugh now, but Hermione knew Draco was a very real threat. His stealth was in question at the moment, but once he grew more accustomed to his body the more dangerous and graceful he would be. There were times that the deadly grace of his movements could be seen. The young man had taken to sauntering into a room, his robes billowing out behind him reminiscent of Professor Snape. With his head held high, Draco could be very beguiling. Therein lied the danger. Draco was beautiful. The beauty hid the razor’s edge beneath. When he lashed out, someone was invariably wounded, mentally or physically.

Swiftly gathering her books together, Hermione figured it was time to leave. It was getting late, the library was practically deserted and Draco was lurking about. It was a recipe for trouble. Before she hoisted her heavy book bag over her shoulder, Hermione cast a wary glance around. Draco didn’t seem to be close by. She couldn’t feel his steely eyes on her. Her hackles were down, but that didn’t mean her nemesis wouldn’t attempt some mischief. Carefully, Hermione pulled her wand from her robe pocket, gave it a little flick and cast a mild protection charm over herself. The spell was a simple incantation that would deflect most of the spells that could be used against her. The protection would be useless against more powerful or complex curses. An Unforgivable wouldn’t even be slowed, but any measure of safety was better than none.

Shadows danced around the young woman as she marched through the corridors. Being a prefect and doing her rounds at night had made Hermione more accustomed to the castle’s foreboding nights, but it seemed that tonight was a bit more threatening. It made Hermione nervous.

She glanced over her shoulder, but all that was behind her was darkness. The snoring of several of the paintings, usually rather annoying, was reassuring on this night. The sounds drowned out the rapid thumping of her heart.

With the tip of her wand high in the air, Hermione stepped up the pace. A great sigh escaped her mouth. She was on the second floor, close to the girl’s restroom where Moaning Myrtle lived, or rather haunted being a ghost and all. Hermione felt more at ease knowing a friend was close at hand.

“I say!” a voice from the darkness exclaimed. Flinching in fright, Hermione swept her luminated wand around and pointed it at a painting. She gave a yelp upon seeing the old wizard in his nightcap and gown staring angrily at her. “Would you mind putting that light out? Some of us are trying to sleep.”

“S…sorry,” Hermione stammered before muttering, “Nox,” sending the hallway into pitch-blackness. Too late did the anxious girl realize her error. Now she couldn’t see a thing.

A shuddering breath wracked her small frame as her eyes darted left and right helplessly. Nervously, Hermione bit her lower lip as she again raised her wand. “Lumos,” she whispered, cringing at the bright flare of light. She didn’t want to upset the honored witches and wizards in the paintings, but she also needed to see where she was going. It was a necessary evil.

A pale spectre of a face sneered at her and Hermione let out a frightened yelp. “Some are trying to sleep, you insufferable bint,” Draco hissed. His hand shot out and tangled in her unruly mass of hair, pulling painfully until her face was so close to his that their noses touched. “You will have to be taught some respect.” the Slytherin’s breath washed over her face, making Hermione attempt to turn away even though Draco smelt of mint. The fingers curled around her tresses denied her movement however and she only managed to have her hair tugged painfully

“Let me go!” she cried.

Instead of answering her, Draco pulled her along and roughly shoved her through a door into the girl’s restroom. Hermione could hardly believe her luck. Moaning Myrtle was sure to see what was happening and frighten Draco away.

“You seemed to like this loo, Granger,” Draco drawled, venom dripping off his tongue with each word. “I thought it fitting for another get together.”

“Get out of the way, Malfoy!” Hermione demanded. Her face reddened as he laughed at her. “You could get in serious trouble.”

A cruel smile curled his lips upward. “Farther than using Unforgivables on other students? Farther than rape?” His laughter filled the chamber, echoing around the walls ominously. “You can’t go to Dumbledore now. It’s too late. It’s your word against mine and even though some of my father’s influence bled away while he sat in Azkaban, he has managed to retain most.” Draco stepped close to Hermione and caressed her cheek with his outstretched hand. His words were laced with pity as he spoke. “I’m a pureblood wizard, Hermione. You’re just a mud blood. No one will believe you.”

Myrtle peeked through the door of her stall. Peering into the nighttime gloom of the room, the ghost easily made out the two silhouettes of Hermione and Draco. Her ethereal eyes were not hampered by the night. Her first instinct upon hearing the noise that invaded her restroom was to screech and wail at the interlopers. For as long as she could remember, everyone had always made fun of her, ridiculed her. “Well, if they think they can just come into my loo, they have another thing coming,” Myrtle had thought spitefully. That had all changed though. Hermione had befriended the lonely ghost and shown her kindness and understanding. Myrtle wanted to be a good friend back.

One of the things that Hermione had asked for was that Myrtle stay hidden and quiet when the Gryffindor witch had first brought Draco Malfoy into the girl’s lavatory. The ghost supposed that she should still do as Hermione asked. It was what a friend should do.

Frowning slightly, Myrtle scratched her head. “I thought Hermione wasn’t going to see Draco anymore,” the ghost wondered. “Did I misunderstand?” Tears welled up in her eyes. “I always misunderstand, and no one takes the time to explain things to me better.” Myrtle scowled petulantly.

Hermione stared incredulously at Draco. He was so patronizing, but he actually believed what he was saying. Hermione would have rolled her eyes if she wasn’t so nervous. A patronizing Draco Malfoy was better than a vindictive one. “My friends will believe me, Malfoy,” Hermione said vehemently. “Professor Dumbledore will also.”

Draco snarled and stepped even closer, pushing his body against hers. “Friends like Potter and Weasley? Please, luv, don’t make me laugh. I know that they don’t know what we have together.”

“We don’t have anything together, Malfoy,” Hermione whispered desperately.

Draco’s eyes flashed brightly as moonlight shone through the windows. “Tell your friends then.”

“I will! I’ll tell them you raped me.” Hermione didn’t like to be challenged, called a coward and a liar. She was neither of those things. Anger and resentment shot to the surface as the two teens stared at each other.

“You can lie to yourself, Hermione,” Draco said with amusement. “But I know you won’t tell anyone. What would ‘Precious Potter’ think if he knew you came to me? Maybe I should tell everyone all the nasty little things you let me do to your body and how much pleasure you derived from my depravity. Doesn’t that make you even more depraved? I wonder what McGonagall would think? Or your parents.”

“What?” Hermione cried. “You can’t!” Hermione clutched desperately at Draco’s shirt.

Grabbing her wrists, Draco pulled her close. A triumphant smile grew on his face. “Then admit that you are mine and give me what I want.”

“I told you Malfoy, no more,” Hermione said. She tried to pull away but the grip on her wrists was too strong for her to break.

“I will have you Hermione. Willingly, or not.” with his long fingers, Draco held both of Hermione’s wrists in one hand and pulled his wand from his robe pocket. He watched the girl’s eyes widen and her face drain of colour. Sweat broke out on her lower lip, which trembled slightly. There was a glow in her eyes.

“You’re not resisting very hard,” Draco said softly, leaning forward to nuzzle her neck. Her bushy hair caressed his face and the teen inhaled deeply. Brushing his lips over her ear, Draco muttered, “I’m not letting you go. Imperio.”

Warmth flooded Hermione and she felt that familiar bubble of suffocating influence swell inside her mind and push her back, trapping her conscious will in a deep corner. She sighed in resignation. Better to let the Slytherin have his way this last time. She would know better to be alone from now on.

“Strip for me, Hermione,” Draco ordered lustily. He took a step back and propped himself against the sink. With his arms crossed over his chest, he smiled in wonder.

As if music drummed through her, Hermione began to sway rhythmically. Her shoulders rolled slowly and her hips undulated as the witch slid her hands along her legs. The pleated skirt was pulled up exposing miles of Hermione’s supple thighs, but the fabric fell back down before her knickers were visible. Draco groaned at the tease. His fitted pants felt uncomfortably tight already. He wasn’t about to be any more comfortable as Hermione pulled her blouse from the waistband of her skirt, letting the tails part slightly. In that instant, the tiny swell of her belly was visible and her navel winked at Draco. He licked his lips, aching to kiss her golden skin. He gasped as small hands cupped soft breasts before sliding up into her thick hair. Hermione lifted her brown mane into the air exposing her neck as she swayed to the music only she could hear. She spun on the spot, her hips rolling even more. When her back was to her audience, she seductively looked over her shoulder and tugged her school tie from around her neck. When the tie was free of her collar, Hermione let go and the tie fluttered to the floor.

Draco watched anxiously as Hermione turned back around. Her small fingers deftly unbuttoned her blouse. As more and more skin was exposed, Draco felt his desperation grow. This girl before him defied al his carefully set rules. If the stuck up little Gryffindor thought she could chuck him, she would be sorely mistaken.

When Hermione at last flung her blue cotton knickers to the side with the rest of her discarded clothes, Draco stepped quickly to her. He pulled the nude girl to him and kissed her ravenously. She tasted sweet. “Strip me now, Hermione,” he ordered in a whisper. “Make it quick.”

Hermione had unbuttoned the top button of her tormentor’s shirt, but upon hearing his command for speed, grabbed his lapels and tore the shirt open. Several buttons flew off into the corners of the restroom. Panting with excitement, Draco began kissing and caressing the girl even before she sought to follow the last command. They both toppled over as Hermione slipped to her knees to remove Draco’s trousers.

“I must have you, Hermione,” Draco gasped as he squirmed out of his pants and underwear. He planted wet sloppy kisses down her body before pushing her legs wide. “Not to worry. You will like this.”

Writhing on the cold hard floor, Hermione felt the pleasure surge through her. Whatever Draco was, he certainly knew how to make a girl feel satisfied. When he rose up, Hermione whimpered. “No,” she gasped as he plunged into her grasping pussy even as she wrapped her legs around his waist. Her feet dug into his arse and urged him deeper.

Hermione was liquid pleasure around him, a wet heat that made Draco moan loudly. The sound echoed in the girl’s restroom. “Fuck Hermione,” he panted harshly. “You’re so tight. I’m going to cum!”

“No!” Hermione screamed. The realization that she hadn’t taken a contraceptive potion in the last week surged to her mind. She was too young to be a mother. And she definitely didn’t want to have Draco Malfoy’s babies. That thought was horrifying.

With a gut-wrenching cry, Hermione pushed at the bubble trapping her will in her mind. The bubble moved away a little giving the girl hope for more. She pushed harder. The desperate witch cried out in frustration as she shoved and clawed and kicked at the foreign barrier until with a deafening pop she felt her body respond to her own commands once again.

Using all her physical strength, Hermione pushed Draco off her body. “Get away!”

A stunned, confused Draco leveled wide eyes at the girl on the floor beside him. “What the bloody Hell? How did you break free?”

Hermione whipped her head around to glare at the Slytherin. Her disheveled hair was damp with perspiration and matted to her forehead. The wild tendrils hung across her face. The girl looked feral and dangerous. With a low raspy voice, tired and strained, she said, “I told you it was done, Malfoy. I want nothing more to do with you.”

Scrambling to pull his clothes on, Draco cast a wary glance at Hermione. “And I believe I told you, it’s not your decision.” raising his wand at Hermione’s huddled form, the condescending wizard yelled, “Imperio!” Hermione shuddered. Her cry was anguished that made Draco shiver in regret. Her cry was anguished, but when the flash of magic subsided the young woman glared hatefully up at her tormentor.

“No more!” she shouted as she rose on unsteady legs. She wobbled to her clothes and reached down to begin putting them on when another stab of magic lanced over her. She fell to her knees with a whimper, but managed to fight off the Unforgivable curse again. Draco shouted the curse twice more, his voice becoming shrill in his desperation. The third time the curse hit her, she fell to her knees with a bone-jarring wrench. Fighting back the pained sob, Hermione snatched up her wand and spun towards Draco. “Expelliarmus,” she muttered, watching with satisfaction as the wizard’s wand flew from his hand. “Can’t you take a hint, Malfoy? Please, just leave me alone.”

Backing up slowly, Draco snatched up his wand before dashing to the door. Hermione breathed a sigh of relief when the door closed behind him. Limping over to the sink, Hermione splashed cold water over her face and looked up into the mirror. The reflection was a stranger. She had grown up a lot this term. Sneering at the image in the mirror, Hermione watched as a tear slipped down her cheek. There was many more waiting to fall. She stood there a long time.

The door to the restroom crashed open and Draco stormed in once again. To Hermione’s horror, he wasn’t alone. Six other Slytherin wizards were right behind him. It was his Quidditch team. Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle flanked their leader with Sven Kaunis, Klaus Farlig, Miles Bletchley, and Wesley Craven fanning out in a semi circle around her.

“I told you, mud blood,” Draco hissed, red faced and seething. “I end this.”

Author\'s Note: sorry everyone, for how long a time has been between posts for this story. if you read my other huge fic, To Be Or To Be Nott, then you probably know about my little snafu. but i hope you forgive me the delay and enjoy this chapter. i will get another chapter of this story out within a week or two. it\'s half written already. go me. how will hermione get out of the pickle she\'s in? wait to find out. hehe.

Apollonia - thanks for the awesome review. and as for the one that got away, it\'s the thought that counts. thanks for sticking around so long.

Classic Cowboy - hey, as long as you have some spare time to read and enjoy it\'s all good. your studies are more important after all.

Gloria Gainer - blown away? wow that\'s great. i\'m glad you like the story. the end is coming. i hope you are just as blown away.

tryxi - thanks for your review. i tried to update as soon as i could. i hope it wasn\'t too long a wait.

JB - i have to disagree with you a bit. hermione didn\'t really place herself in this situation. draco attacked her at the beginning and even raped her a bit later. then the deal was struck. the sympathy can fall away then. as for what will happen, only time will tell.

jeanette - wow, thank you so much for the high praise. i\'m sorry i can\'t write faster to keep you reading.

ddrinki - i think hermione is very afraid now, don\'t you?

mac - so, do you like what happened? the only question is, what will happen next?

spaz141 - so that\'s the secret eh? you only say thanks if you don\'t like a chapter. hey, wait a minute. there were a few times where you only said thanks for my chapters. well, at least you left a bigger one this time.

Juan M - thank you so much. i do try to keep the characters in.. er character. it\'s not always easy. i don\'t plan to just drop the story. i\'ve come this far i plan to finish. it just takes me a long time. i apologize for that. maybe if i was getting paid to write i could write more, but i have a full time job that sometimes exhausts me. enough excuses though, i really enjoy writing. and i really enjoyed your review.

ddrinki4 - it did seem as though harry didn\'t want to go off with maia doesn\'t it? thanks for the review.

Quenty - hook, line and sinker. hehe. that\'s what i like to hear.

marc - for some strange reason, i seem to be writing about things i don\'t approve of either. i\'m not a fan of subjugation or rape or any kind of control like that. or maybe, in my subconcious i\'m a sick bastard. who knows? as for the spell on harry, i don\'t know what you\'re talking about. lol. i\'m confused. i need to go lay down now.

tdk - ron and harry probably wouldn\'t be so clueless if it wasn\'t for me. i needed them to stay out of hermione\'s way for this story. hope you can forgive the boys. and me for that matter. hehe

Hermey - sorry it isn\'t longer. if i had kept the story with ron and harry\'s plots in it would be three times as long. but then it might be really confusing.

Dr. Huff-Puff - yeah. a good story is a good story. i read all kinds too. i\'m glad you\'re such an open minded reader, and i\'m glad you took a chance with my other story too. when i get around to writing others i hope you will be there.

star - i updated. finally. hope it\'s soon enough.

Wendy - thanks man. yeah, the dumbledore scene icked a lot of people. it doesn\'t seem to fit anymore. maybe i need a revision. what do you think?

traydr vic - well i think you waited long enough. here\'s hoping you never have to wait that long again.

isis - the harry/ginny portions were taken out to streamline this story. they will pop back up when i get to harry\'s story. as for draco/ginny, well there was never any of that. where did you get that idea?

cdog121 - i apologize if things have slowed down some. probably my fault. or real life anyway. things are winding down. the story is almost done. hopfully i can make the ending exciting for you.

Savannah - thanks for the kind words. i\'m really glad you like the story. for such a long tale it needed to be crafted a bit, don\'t you think.

nnt - i don\'t neglect either story. usually i write a chapter for one and then the other. this is the only time that i have ever posted two chapters of one story in a row.

vanessa - hmmm, isn\'t it you who review? i post chapters. and here\'s one for you. hehe

keys3303 - no i can\'t blame a draco/hermione shipper for trying. but your first suggestion makes more sense don\'t you think?

Rose - well i updated, but what\'s up with asking for ron/harry/hermione?

leviathan - here\'s your update. hope you like it.
