Chapter 21: The Return

Note: I’ve got some good news. I finished the first book in
my series called The Awakening and I’m starting on Moon Rising. I’m in the
process of cleaning it up which will take forever, but I know it will be worth it.
On this note: Here’s chapter 21 for all those that have been waiting on it.

111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

   “I must say that I
wasn’t expecting this,” Professor McGonagall said when Lee told her what
Hermione had gotten.

   “I agree with that,
Minerva,” Lee said. “Hermione was very upset about the letter and it’s my job
to track down who sent it and put him or her in Azkaban.”

   “Very well,”
Minerva said, nodding. “Do what you have to do to make sure that our Hermione
is safe.”

And he turned and left her office.

            Hermione
once again returned to her parent’s home because Severus insisted that she
would be much better off being with her parents. Not everyone knew where
Hermione lived and it would narrow the field of who might have sent the letter
to her. Hermione agreed only because she feared for not only her life, but her
babies. When she got home her mother was waiting on her.

style='mso-spacerun:yes'> “I got the message from Severus,” her mother
told her, her face filled with worry. “Are you alright?”

   “I’m fine,”
Hermione said.

She looked at her as though she knew something that only
Hermione and Severus knew.

   “He said that you
didn’t look or sound fine,” her mother told her. “He said that you were
downright scared.”

Hermione looked down at her feet, or attempted to look down
at her feet. At four months along seeing her feet had turned into a small
problem.

   “Let’s get you on a
couch and let you rest,” her mother told her.

Hermione nodded and let her be dragged in.

   “I need you to
inform me the moment Lee finds out anything,” Severus demanded of Remus.

   “Of course,” he
said. “Are you going to be alright?”

He glared at him and Remus knew that he wasn’t alright. For
the first time since Voldemort had fallen Severus was scared. He tapped his
trunk with his wand and then both Severus and trunk Disapperated.

1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

   “Kingsley,” Lee
called out as he entered the Auror Headquarters.

Kingsley turned and looked at Lee. He had just returned from
France and he
wasn’t ready to hear Lee’s voice right now, not with the wonderful sensation of
vacation still around him.

   “I know you hear
me,” Lee said.

He crossed his arms and looked at him.

   “And what do you
want, Mr. Jordan?”

   “I need you to put
a trace on this letter,” Lee demanded. “I want to find out who sent the letter
and for what purpose.”

Kingsley groaned, but he took it.

   “I’ll be expecting
an answer soon.”

And he left.

1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

            Kingsley
looked over the letter and then headed to the Owlery where a special owl that
he used for tracking was kept. He did several spell, all designed not to be
detected, and then giving it to the owl, it flew off. He knew that he would
have to wait until the person got it and then he would have him or her right
where he wanted them.

11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

            Several
hours later the owl landed in the girl’s dormitory in Gryffindor house. The
figure of a witch took the letter and then suddenly screamed as Kingsley
suddenly appeared before her. He grabbed her and forced her to look at him.

   “Well it looks like
I found out who’s been threatening Mrs. Snape,” Kingsley said to the witch. “Isn’t
that right, Ginny?”

She screamed and Kingsley took her away

111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

   “I can’t believe
that it was Ginny that threatened Mrs. Snape had her child,” Lee said, after
Kingsley had reported who had sent the letter.

Kingsley snorted at that.

   “I’m going to start
questioning her at once,” he said. “And gods forbid if she does anything to
make me very angry.”

Lee knew that he meant what he said and left Kingsley to do
his job.

111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

   “I still can’t
believe that Ginny did this to me,” Hermione said when Lee came and visited
her, telling her what Ginny had done. “I mean, I knew that she hated the idea
that I was married to Severus, but to think she wanted to hurt me like that.”

Hermione felt the tears welling up and she willed them to go
away. She didn’t want to cry in-front of her friend. Lee put a hand on her
shoulder.

   “Hermione, we don’t
know everything that happened, but we know that she had in her mind that if she
killed you and the child that she would hurt Severus,” Lee said. “I’m sure that
Kingsley will come up with the same conclusion.”

   “So what’s going to
happen to her?”

Lee sighed, not wanting to tell Hermione this.

   “She’ll be tried
and then sent to Azkaban,” Lee said. “She might get the kiss as well.”

Hermione shivered and so did Lee. Even though Azkaban had
only three Dementors that worked there, they still had the power to make people
shake with fear.

   “Does Hermione have
to stay here?” Jane asked him.

Lee nodded.

   “We need to make
sure that she’s safe and then she’ll be able to return to her apartment,” Lee
said. “I’m going to inform Severus of what has happened and let him know what
will happen. He might have to testify in court of what Ginny did.”

   “I understand?”
Hermione said to him. “Good luck.”

   “Thanks, I’m going
to need it.”

And he was gone. Hermione got up.

   “Where
you going?”

   “I’m going to get
some work done,” Hermione said. “And start on a small project.”

And she walked upstairs and was gone.

1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

            Kathy
Williams entered the Death Room and shivered when she saw the veil. Her boss
had told her that this was where the innocent Sirius Black had gone through,
into a world that no one, not even her, understood. She joined her co-worker
who was talking to the Minister.

   “So how is the experiment
working?” he asked.

   “Well,” Chris
McBone answered, grinning at him.

Kathy knew how much he loved being around the Minister.

   “Good, let me know
if you can get anyone out of that veil,” he said.

   “And what should we
do if we succeed?” Kathy asked.

   “Have him or her
sent to St. Mungo at once,” he advised.

   “Very
well!”

And the Minister left.

   “Okay, let’s try
this spell that Victor invented,” Kathy said, holding up the sheet of
parchment.

  style='mso-spacerun:yes'> “Okay,” Chris said.

She pulled out her wand and walked up to the veil, making
sure that she wasn’t close enough to get sucked in. She then pointed it at the
veil.

   class=SpellE>Tranportus Returnius,” she cried
out.

            The end of
her wand exploded and the veil started to scream, like it knew that she was
trying to get someone from them. Kathy screamed and ran as fast as she could as
it started to try and suck her in. It then suddenly stopped and spit out
something from the other side and then went quiet.

   “WE DID IT!” both
of them yelled, excited at what had happened.

Both of them rushed over to see who had been spit out of the
veil. To Kathy’s shock it was Lily Potter.

Note: Well another chapter is now up. I hope that you enjoy.
