Are You Kidding Me?
Shiver
Severus, Harry and Layla made their way down to the dungeons. Severus had an arm wrapped around Harry's waist, not all too keen on the thought of having him fall asleep on the way down and hurt himself. Layla was walking in circles around them. It was entertaining to watch her try to keep doing the full circle when they went down a few flights of stairs.
"Are we almost there yet?" Harry whined into Severus' chest.
"You've got to learn how to be patient, love." he kissed the top of Harry's head.
"I can be bloody patient when I want to be, but right now, Layla's making me dizzy and I want to lie down!" he pouted. Severus sighed.
"Layla?"
"Yeah, Sev?" she walked around them again.
"Would you please stop walking around us in cirlces? You're making Harry dizzy." Harry nodded into Severus' chest. Layla sighed sadly.
"If I have to." she stopped walking around in circles and slowly trailed behind the other two. Severus mentally sighed in relief when the sight of the portrait door to his rooms appeared.
"Yo quiero que te gusta." the portrait of a crescent moon over the ocean swung open to allow the three of them into it's rooms.
"I didn't know you could speak spanish, Sev."
"There's a lot you don't, but will, know about me, Harry." he led the small group into his rooms and into his bedroom.
The room was dressed in dark greens. The walls were forest green, the carpet darken than that. The bed was enormous, attracting all attention to it's size. The bed curtains were black, the bedding the darkest green in the room, with silver slik sheets and black pillows.
"Could you be any more Slytherin, Sev?" Harry asked, amused. Severus raised an eyebrow.
"I am Head of Slytherin. What, did you expect fluffy pink bunnies?" Harry snorted.
"That would have been priceless." Severus softly smiled and nudged Harry towards the bed.
"Go ahead an get settled, I'll be right back." Severus left his bedroom, leaving Layla and Harry alone.
"Want to tell me what's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong." came the stubborn reply. Harry sighed.
"Layla, something's wrong, I know it. After Sev asked you to stop walking around in circles you got quiet. What's wrong?" Harry walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. Her troubled eyes met his concerned ones.
"I... I don't know." she stared intently at her hands as they played with the waist line of the shorts Harry was wearing.
"What do you mean you don't know?" she looked away from her hands towards the bed.
"I just... don't know..." her voice cracked slightly, her eyes misting over in tears. Harry's grip tightened.
"Layla... Layla please, please don't cry. Come on, baby, it's ok, you don't have to cry..." her breathed hitched.
"Why would she be crying?" Severus came back into the room and over to them, wrapping an arm around both of them. "What's wrong?" Layla hiccuped.
"I don't... I don't know..." tears started to fall from her eyes, sliding down her cheeks. Severus and Harry held her between them, trying to comfort them.
"What happened?"
"I just asked her what was wrong, because after you told her to stop walking around in cirlces, she got quiet. I knew something was wrong, but she doesn't know what that something is."
"Forget about it, I'm just being a stupid girl." she roughly pushed herself out of their arms and practically ran towards the bed, diving underneath the covers and burrowing down into them. Severus and Harry followed her, Severus just after Harry, after he romoved all his clothes but his boxers. Harry lifted himself up and over Layla and onto her other side, thus putting her in the middle once more.
"No, we will not forget about it. Something obviously is wrong. We want to help." Harry kissed the top of her head, his hand resting on her hip.
"Well, you should." she wrapped her arms around herself, her breath hitching again. Severus wound an arm around her waist.
"Love, I'm pretty sure that what's wrong has something to do with your inheritance and what you are." she looked up at him.
"So, you're telling me that I'm crying here for basically no good reason, because of what ever magical creature I am?" he nodded.
"Pretty much."
"Are you kidding me?" he shook his head.
"Nope."
"Great, just bloody great. And would you happen to know what I am, by the way?"
"Not spefically, no, but would you like me to find out for you?" he leaned up on elbow to look down at her. She nodded.
"Yes, please." he smiled.
"Then would you kindly open you legs for me?"
"What?"
A/N: Review and tell me what ya think? ^_^ Hehehe, I know, I kinda left ya a cliffie.
