He never felt pride over another's work.

Today, however, was different. As far as the eye could see, there were bodies, his enemies' bodies, her former allies' bodies, scattered to pieces all over the fields. Meat and flesh and blood soaked his bare feet and the rim of his robes as he moved towards his blood-drenched pupil. The steel look in her brown eyes as ever focused solely on him as she held her wand in one hand and a dagger in the other.
He'd taught her well.
He'd trained her well.
He'd conditioned her well.
She'd follow him to the end of the world. Today would be that end. He'd be a merciful Lord. She'd served him well.
