Lucas goes to Malfoy Manor/ Lucas makes a decision




Malfoy Manor


Lucius and Narcissa were in the library when the wards around the Manor sounded. They couldn’t believe someone had breeched their wards. And ran towards the entrance.


When they arrived Narcissa fell to her knees at the one person she never thought she’d see again. Lucius was not much better for standing in the entrance hall was Lucas.


“Uncle Luc? Aunt Cissa? I’m sorry.” sniffed Lucas as he looked at them with tears. He just wanted them to forgive him. For everything that had happened since he was gone.

“Little Phoenix, come here.” Narcissa sobbed as she opened her arms for the boy. As Lucius smiled.

Not needing anymore encouragement, Lucas ran to them. And when he was in reach fell to his knees in front of her. Allowing her to pull him into her arms. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up.

“Welcome home, little Phoenix. “ Lucius smiled as he blinked back the tears forming in his eyes.

“It’s good to be home, Uncle Luc. I’m sorry I didn’t write, but I thought you didn’t want me anymore.” whispered Lucas as he remained in Narcissa’s arms.

“Never think we wouldn’t want you, Lucas. Your Uncle and I tried to get you, but we couldn’t. “ remarked Narcissa

“I know Draco informed me . Well more like yelled it at me. I wished I had known. I would have done something to let you all know I was alright.”

“It doesn’t matter Lucas. You’re here now. And as such you will remain.” Lucius stated with conviction, as he pulled Lucas from the floor. And together they helped Narcissa up as well.

“Am I tainted Uncle Luc? “ Lucas asked as the three entered the library together.


Narcissa gasped as Lucius turned sharply to look at Lucas. “Why would you say that about yourself Lucas?”

“It’s just Father said… He said I was darker than you and him…And I was just as tainted as Voldemort.” Lucas replied as his lower lip moved as he was trying not to cry again.

“How dare he say something like that to you. You are not dark Lucas. You can’t be, its not in you to be. Even your aura says your Grey! And there’s nothing wrong with being a Grey Wizard. “ Lucius stated with warmth as he wrapped an arm around Lucas, pulling him toward the large couch.


“When did you talk to your Father, Lucas?” Narcissa asked as she cuddled into the boy’s side.

“Three days ago. I went to the Manor and when I got there, I should have known something was off. Grumpy was acting very nervous. And when I went to my old room. It wasn’t mine anymore, they had given it the baby. I was about to leave, but the baby started to whimper. And not thinking about I picked him up and then Father and Mother came in. And well let’s just say Father and I had words and he broke my nose. I didn’t stay long after that.” explained Lucas, he could feel the angry rolling off his Uncle and Aunt.

Lucius was beyond angry when he heard that Severus had hit his son again. He didn’t even hear his wife and Lucas scream his name as he aspirated out of the room.


“Oh no!” groaned Narcissa as she grabbed Lucas. She wasn’t about to let her little Phoenix out of her sight.

“I have to go after him Aunt Cissa. He’ll kill Father!” yelled Lucas as he tried to pull out of her grasp.

“You’ll do no such thing Lucas. The fight that is about to occur with your Uncle and Father has been building for years.” Narcissa tried reasoning with the boy.


“But?”

“No, do you not think that Lucius and I didn’t know about the abuse you suffered at your Father’s hand. I can assure you that we did. There was many a night that Lucius wanted to confront Severus when you’d been here and we saw the pain you tried to cover. And Lucius and Severus have fought many a times over the treatment of you.” Narcissa snapped at Lucas to get him to listen.

Lucas bowed his head in defeat. He’d have to wait until his Uncle came back. Just to find out what had occurred.


Narcissa smiled softly as she realized Lucas wasn’t going after her Husband. Before pulling Lucas out of the room to the kitchen for a snack to get their minds off of what was occurring.

Hogwarts



Lucius Malfoy was livid as he stormed into Hogwarts and up to the Headmaster’s office. He didn’t even knock just pulled the oak door open with force and stepped inside.


“Where is he Albus, you can’t hide him from me this time.” snarled Lucius as he seen Albus jump from his chair.

“Lucius what’s happened? Your magic is visible, sit down.” Albus snapped out his magic to make the man do as bid.

Once seated Lucius was still breathing harshly as he set his cold angry eyes on Dumbledore. “Severus hit Lucas and broke his nose. And had the audacity to tell Lucas that he was dark. Darker than me and himself and that Lucas was tainted just like Voldemort. Where is he Albus? You can’t stop me this time.” Jumping out of his chair as he went toward the old man.

“He’s in the dungeons Lucius. And I’m not about to stop you, just don’t kill him. You don’t want that on your conscious. Better yet, I’ll go with you.” Albus stated coldly as he led the furious man out of his office and toward the dungeons.

Severus Snape was just finishing his lecture to his sixth year Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff class when the door to his classroom was blown open. Causing the students to scream.


When the dust settled he was faced with the cold look of the Headmaster . And when Albus moved aside he was then faced with the furious look of one Lucius Malfoy.


“Children, you need to pack up and leave. NOW!” Albus snapped and was glad that they did so quickly, he didn’t care where they went for the hour as long as they stayed on the grounds.

“Damn you Severus Snape. You hurt my Phoenix!” roared Lucius as he charged at Severus. He was so angry that he’d forgotten that he was a wizard.

Severus’s eyes widen at Lucius’s words and was even more shocked that the man was charging him. He didn’t even have enough time to move before he was hit in the jaw by Lucius’s fist.

“You and your wife will give me Lucas. Or else!” snarled Lucius as he pulled his wand on the man before him.

“Lucius what? His still my son. “ Severus was trying to calm the man as he touched his jaw. It wasn’t broken for that he was thankful.


“A son that you’ve abandoned. A son that you’ve told was tainted. “ snarled Lucius as he was about to curse the man. He had called friend for years.


Severus gasped, he didn’t think Lucas would have gone to Lucius. But he was wrong and now he’d have to get Lucius to understand why he said of those things.


“Lucius, listen to me for moment. I didn’t mean any of those things I told Lucas. It just that with him being who he is that I needed him away from my family. I did it to keep Alexis and Gabriel safe.”

“What?” Lucius blinked in confusion. However he didn’t lower his wand.

“Lucas is Merlin reborn Lucius. He is the King of Magic and one day soon take his throne and rule Magical Britain.” Albus announced as he moved further into the room.

“But that doesn’t give Severus the right to hurt him!” snarled Lucius

“No it doesn’t, let it go Lucius. Go home to your wife.” Albus tried again to reason with the man.

“Not until I have full custody of Lucas! I won’t have him be hurt anymore.” Lucius stated. He wasn’t backing down, not this time. Not until he had what he wanted.


“I can’t do that Lucius. Lucas is still my heir.” Severus whispered shaking his head at the man.


“Can’t or won’t? Do you have any idea what I felt like when Lucas asked me if he was tainted? Or when he told me that he visited the Manor to find out his room wasn’t his anymore? Or I know how about when you broke his nose? You sent Lucas to Atrum Vita and forgot about him. And started a new family. You have another male son and he can be your heir.” Lucius snapped as he placed his wand back in its holster.


“You better figure out your feelings Severus Snape. Because when I leave here, I’m heading straight for the Ministry and filing for custody rights to Lucas. And then I’m going home and find out what Lucas’s life has been like without a parent in it.” hissed Lucius as he turned and walked out of the classroom.

“You know Severus that Lucius has every right to file for Lucas. I would myself but I’m to old. Ever since you and Lilly sent Lucas away, I’ve feared that he would come back dark. But my fears were unfounded and for that I’m glad. “ was the parting words Albus spoke as he exited as well leaving behind the beginnings of a broken man.

Over the next two days after Lucius returned to the Manor to find a nervous wife and god-son. He was able to calm down enough to find out everything that occurred with Lucas. He had yet to mention what had occurred with Severus and to his joy the two didn’t ask.

Lucas had showed him the book by Myrdrrin Emrys and together had figured that when he was ready the castle would summon him to it. At least that was what was written.


The three of them had spent a lot of time just reacquainting themselves with one another. But it was almost time for Lucas to return to Hogwarts and Lucius wanted a word with him.

“You wanted to see me Uncle Luc?” came the voice of Lucas as he entered the study.


“Yes I did little Phoenix, have a seat.”

“I’ve filed for custody of you, Lucas. Even against your Father’s wishes.” Lucius stated as he watched to joy come to the boy’s face.


“You did? I don’t know what to say. “ Lucas said as his heart seemed to swell with joy.


“You don’t have to say anything. It may not even come to anything at all. Your Father can fight me on this. But I wanted, no that’s not right. I needed you to know that you still had a family here. A family that loves you regaurdless of who you are.”

“Thank you Uncle Luc. It’s nice to know that there is people that still love me. Besides Grandfather I mean. Over the last few years I felt he was the only one that did. I’m glad to be proven wrong. “ Lucas stated with passion.


Lucius moved to him and hugged him tightly. Before moving back behind his desk and sat down again.


Lucas excused himself and as he was about to leave the room. He turned back at his Uncle and said. “I wished I was your’s and Aunt Cissa. And even if I can’t be in blood then I’m glad I can be by love. “


And as he was about to close the door he heard his Uncle’s voice drift to him. “You’ll always be a son to us Lucas. Reguardless of the name you bare.”

And with that Lucas had made a decision. If his Father fought Uncle Luc, then he was going to fight back as well. One way or another he was going to have a family again. Even if he had to divorce his own parents to get it.
