Also, SnapesSweetheart, I started one of your stories today and it was fantastic!! Hurry Hurry Hurry and update!!!

Ron stared at his brother in shock. He turned and looked at his father waiting for him to tell George to knock it off with the jokes, especially one so disgusting. He saw the anguish and dried tracks of tears on his fathers face and felt his heart stop. “What?” he whispered. He felt his wife grab him from behind and he leaned into her for support.

“I am so sorry,” she whispered to him softly. Looking at her new father and brother-in-law she tried to smile. She could feel the grief radiating off of both of them. “They’re in a better place now. I bet they are flying with the specklebeaked flairmouths and loving it.”

Three pairs of Weasley blue eyes swung around to look at her. None of them said it out loud, but they were all thinking how strange she was.

“Thank you for your kind words, Luna.” Arthur told her. He hoped that whatever she had wasn’t a genetic disorder. He would hate to see his grandchildren act like this strange young woman.

“How did it happen?” Ron asked coming out of his shock-induced stupor.

George related the story to his stunned brother who flopped himself down in a chair. He felt the tears again well up in his eyes as he watched his brothers freely fall down his face.

“I can’t believe they’re gone,” he cried. “How can they be gone?” It was bad enough to loose his sister, but to also loose his mother on the same day was devastating. He needed both of them and he didn’t know how to deal with the grief that was swallowing him whole.

Arthur stood up and walked to his youngest son. He pulled him into his arms and the two of them held each other sobbing in grief. George sat quietly watching them as tears streamed down his face. He let his father and youngest brother comfort each other for a moment alone and then he joined them. Fred and Harry then walked into the room and the five men who were bound together by their grief all held each other and sobbed.

Luna felt tears well in her eyes. The dept of the emotion in the room was enough to make anyone cry. She had barely known Ginny Weasley and hand only met Molly a few times. She was sad for the family and decided to leave them to their grief. She left the men in the kitchen and went to find Hermione.

Hermione tried several spells before she found one that cleared Pansy’s skin of the spots. “Your lucky I figured out what he did,” she said, “the last time he and George did something like this it took a potion from Professor Snape to reverse the affects.”

“When I get my hands on that husband of mine!” she screeched, but happy to be back to normal.

Hermione smiled at Pansy. “I hope that you get him good! It will be nice to see Fred with someone who will stand up to him and not take his pranks lying down!”

Pansy smiled in return to her new sister. “Oh, I’ll take it lying down alright, and any other way I can get it, but I will get even!” she said wiggling her eyebrows. The two girls laughed together.

“I am happy to see the two of you could put your grief aside,” Luna said watching the two women laugh.

Hermione instantly sobered. She had almost forgotten what had happened. She hadn’t meant to forget, but the excitement of Pansy’s hex had momentarily distracted her. “Someone must have finally told Ron?” she asked. “We couldn’t find him earlier.”

“We got married today,” Luna said.

Pansy and Hermione both said “What?” at the same time. Pansy because she thought it would be a horrible day to have a wedding anniversary. Who wanted to celebrate the death of a mother and a sister on the same day that you got married and Hermione because she couldn’t believe that Ron had let go of his hate so fast as to marry the strange girl.

Luna nodded her head at them. “Yes, we did it earlier today. Ron proposed to me this morning and we decided to be married right away.”

“Wow, that was fast!” Hermione said. Just last night Ron was talking about how much he couldn’t stand the witch.

“He said he loved me,” she said in her dreamy way.

Hermione didn’t think that it would go over well to call her new sister-in-law a liar, but she knew Ron well enough to know that he never would have said something like that to her without somebody drugging him. “That’s nice, dear,” she said absent-mindedly. “Where are all the guys?”

“They are all in the kitchen sobbing their little hearts out. I never knew that men could be so emotional,” she said in wonder. Her father had never shed a tear in his life, not even when her mother had died.

Hermione wasn’t sure if the comment was being snide or if she really meant it. Knowing Luna, it probably was the latter so she chose to not get offended. “I bet they are all dying inside right now,” she said.

Pansy felt a genuine sadness for her husband’s loss. She knew that he loved his family dearly and she could almost feel his pain radiating off of him. “Perhaps we should join them and see if we can be of any help.”

Hermione nodded her head in agreement. “I think that is a good idea.” She hadn’t let herself feel yet and she knew that when she stopped to think about what had happened today she would also start sobbing. Molly had been like a second mother to her and she regretted that their last few times together had been her walking in on George and her and then Hermione avoiding her. Ginny had been one of her best friends and Hermione knew that she would feel that loss more than anything. Ginny had changed in the past few months, but she knew that deep inside Ginny was still the same girl she had always been. She had been afraid and insecure and had a made a few bad choices, but she knew that Ginny would have eventually found her way.

Draco was stunned when he heard that a roof in a restaurant in Diagon Alley had collapsed in an explosion killing two people. He was shocked when he had learned that it was Molly Weasley and Ginny Potter. The whole family must be devastated. The Weasley Matriarch had been the backbone of the Weasley family and to loose her would be a terrible blow to them all.

Potter must be crying his heart out, he thought in disgust. He had a hard time feeling any sympathy for Potter, but he had heard that the Weaselette had been pregnant and he knew that if he had been in Potters shoes he would have felt awful. He had never been friends with any of the Weasley’s, and definitely not with Potter, but the Weasley’s were a Pureblood family and good manners dictated that he acknowledge their loss. Not to mention, his future wife had been a Gryffindor and he knew that she had been friends with several members of the family. He decided to see if she wanted to stop by the Potter/Weasley home later and offer condolences.

He glanced at the clock and decided that he would arrive at Katie’s home a little early. If they were going to go calling on the Weasley clan they should get an early start.

Katie watched as her father glared at Draco. Her mother sat clenching her hands and trying not to cry. Neither of her parents had been happy with this match for her. They had known that Draco’s family had been death eaters and they hadn’t wanted their daughter to be a part of a family known for such violence. Her father had also not been happy to know that she would be marrying into a white family. He had always hoped she would align herself with Rastabach Gunier, a son of a family friend from Africa. Katie had never been remotely interested in the tall, emaciated boy who never could take his mind off of anything besides his family’s sheep ranch.

“Mr. Malfoy, I hope that you are aware that we are not happy with this match,” Charles Bell said to him.

“Yes, Mr. Bell, I have gotten that impression,” he drawled. He was used to families throwing their daughters at him and this had surprised him at first. He knew that non-deatheaters families would not want to align their families with his though.

“I hope that my daughter does not come to any harm in your house,” he growled. He did not like this cocky young white boy.

“I can assure you, that I will do my best to show Katie nothing but the utmost respect and I shall strive to make her as happy as I possibly can,” he stated.

“Where shall you live? I do not want my daughter living with that crazed man you call a father,” he shouted.

“Nor would I, sir. I own some property through my mother’s family. We shall live in one of the homes that I have inherited from her. My father shall continue to live in Malfoy Manor,” he hoped that he could change his future in-laws mind regarding their opinion of him.

“What about children? Will he have access to my grandchildren?” he demanded.

“With all due respect sir, he is my father. I can’t refuse to allow him access to his grandchildren anymore than I could refuse to allow you access to them. I will however promise you that they will never be left alone with him or will he be allowed to enact any type of discipline to them,” he hoped that this would appease the man, but he could compromise anymore than that.

Charles looked at the man before him. Perhaps he had been a little hasty with him. He seemed to have a good head on his shoulders and to have thought of his future wife and children’s protection. He realized that neither of the children had asked for this match but he could see that they were trying to make the best of it. “Perhaps you and I could get together and discuss the settlement arrangements?”

Relief washed through Draco. “I would be honored to be available at your convenience, sir.”

Katie smiled at her father and Draco. “Perhaps we should go now?” she asked. “We are stopping by the Weasley’s to offer our condolences, daddy.”

“I was shocked to hear of what happened today. Arthur will be lost without his wife,” Charles stated. He had known both Arthur and Molly since their days together at Hogwarts and if any two people had belonged together it had been them. He wondered if perhaps he should also call on his old friend. “Perhaps my wife and I might join you while you call? Arthur, Molly and Judith and I have know each other for years,”

“We would be happy if you joined us,” Draco said. He thought that it was probably a good idea if Mr. Bell joined them. There might be less hostilities if the Bell family called and as Katie’s fiancé Draco had joined them versus just Katie and Draco going at it alone. He knew that Potter would be suspicious of him if he showed up trying to be nice.

“Give me a moment, and we shall be off. I might see if your sister would like to join us,” he said speaking of Felicia, Katie’s sister who would graduate from Beauxbaton’s Academy this spring.

Katie squeezed Draco’s hand. She had been proud of the way that he had handled her father. He really was turning out to be much more than she had expected. He wasn’t quite the spoiled prat that he had been during school.

He smiled to her and squeezed back. He had been surprised at how much it had meant to him to win her families approval. He wasn’t sure when he had gone from disgust at being stuck marrying her and at deciding that it was what he really wanted after all. She wasn’t exactly the person he had expected her to be.
