Epilogue
Union of Three
Epilogue
Harry, Lucius, and Draco stayed at Castle Willow for almost two months. When it was finally time to return home, Harry didn’t want to leave. He’d spent most of his time- when he wasn’t having sex with Lucius or Draco, that is- with his grandparents, getting to know his remaining family. The Dursley’s didn’t count. Lucius and Draco spent their free time at the fae kingdom. Draco had much to learn about his heritage.
“I don’t wanna go back home,” pouted Harry. “Why can’t I just stay here until Taryn is born?”
“Because you have people who miss you at home,” said Aracely reasonably, that mysterious smile flitting across her face.
“You’re hiding something from me,” said Harry, seeing that knowing smile. “What aren’t you telling me, Cely?”
“There’s a lot I’m not telling you, Harry. After all, I’m quite a bit older than you,” said Aracely smugly, deliberately baiting her grandson. “It stands to reason that I would know things you didn’t.”
“Yes, that’s all fine and dandy, but you’re hiding something that concerns me. That’s what I want you to tell me,” said Harry seriously.
“It’s nothing bad, Harry. It’s just unexpected, and I want it to be a surprise,” said Aracely firmly. She pushed Harry towards the door where Lucius and Draco were waiting. “You better come see me after the babies- baby is born. I can’t wait to be a great-grandmother.”
“Don’t worry so, Cely. We’ll be back before you know it,” said Harry quietly. He suddenly turned around and hugged his grandmother fiercely. “I’ll miss you and Uri. And tell Gabe that I am so going to kick his arse when I get back. He knows better than to flirt with my Luc.”
“I’ll tell him,” said Aracely with a smile.
“Bye, Cely,” said Harry, waving one last time before stepping into a portal with Lucius.
“Goodbye, Harry. You better not forget to bring Taryn and Rowan to see me,” whispered Aracely, feeling a little bereft now that Harry was gone. Harry just seemed to have an innate ability to brighten a person’s life with just his presence, and Aracely could already feel the brightness dim. Things just wouldn’t be the same around here anymore.

Harry stepped out of the portal and headed straight for the kitchen while Lucius and Draco took their bags up to their room. Harry rummaged through the cabinets until he found a jar of honey and some crackers. Taking his bounty to the table, Harry opened the jar of honey and dipped his cracker inside. “Ummm, this is good,” he said, dipping another cracker into the honey. He was on his fifth honey cracker when Severus walked in. “Hi, Sev, how have things been while I was gone?”
Severus stared at the honey-coated cracker with a strange mixture of disgust and longing for a long moment. Stalking to the table, he sat down and grabbed a cracker, dipping it in the honey and taking a bite. Chewing thoughtfully, Severus hummed appreciatively and grabbed another cracker. “Molly stormed the house looking for you and found me and Remus instead- in our bedroom, to be precise. Ron’s been firecalling every day, hoping you’ve returned. Oh, and Remus and I got married last week,” said Severus calmly, munching on his crackers.
“What?! You got married and I missed it?” cried Harry, jumping to his feet indignantly.
“Goodness, Harry, you’ve gotten huge. When is the brat due again?” asked Severus, eyeing Harry’s large belly curiously. Harry immediately blushed and sat back down, hiding his bulging stomach from view. “I don’t see why you’re upset. We missed your wedding.”
“But I didn’t know I was getting married when I left,” whinged Harry, pouting slightly. “And how did you know I was getting married?”
“Lucius told me, of course,” said Severus calmly. “When was the last time you had a check-up?”
“Cely gave me one at Castle Willow. She said everything was fine,” said Harry quickly. “Any other surprises you want to spring on me?”
“I’m pregnant,” said Severus quietly, watching Harry carefully.
“How far along are you?” asked Harry evenly, reeling inside at this new development. Mother Sev was going to have his own child and things just wouldn’t be the same anymore. Harry would be forgotten once again.
“About six weeks,” said Severus placidly.
“Wow,” said Harry softly, smiling encouragingly at Severus. “That’s great. Congratulations, Sev.” Not for anything in the world would he ever hurt Sev by being less than supportive of the new addition to the family. Severus deserved this happiness and Harry was going to make sure he stayed that way. “I tell you what, though. I’ll definitely be glad when this one is born. She’s killing my back and hips. Thank Merlin, I only have three more weeks.”
“That soon?” asked Severus.
A voice calling Harry from the living room interrupted Harry’s response. Harry, recognizing the voice as Ron’s, wearily climbed to his feet and walked into the living room. Ron saw Harry’s very pregnant belly and blurted, “Blimey, Harry, you look like you’re about to pop.” Harry just glared viciously at the redhead and turned back around to leave. “Wait, Harry! I’m sorry. Mum’s been worried sick and she told me to invite you and the Malfoys to dinner once you returned. Please say yes. She is about to drive me absolutely batty.”
“We can be there at 7:00 tonight, if that’s all right with her,” said Lucius from behind Harry, wrapping his arms around Harry’s waist and putting his chin on the brunette’s shoulder.
“Thank you, Lucius- never thought I’d ever say that to the git. I’ll tell her right now,” said Ron quickly. “See ya, Harry.”
“Bye, Ron,” said Harry, leaning against Lucius’ broad chest. “Did you hear about Sev and Remi?”
“Yeah, they got married while we were gone,” said Lucius quietly.
“Sev’s pregnant!” exclaimed Harry. “I just can’t believe it.”
“Are you not happy about it?” asked Lucius curiously, sensing Severus’ presence behind him.
“I am happy for him,” said Harry quickly. “Sev deserves this happiness, and I would not begrudge him this for anything in the world. It’s just that he’s not going to be Mother Sev to me anymore, you know? He’ll have his own child to mother.” Harry sighed and smiled self-deprecatingly. “I’m just being selfish, so just ignore me.”
“Just because he has another child, it doesn’t mean he won’t love you anymore, Harry,” said Lucius softly. “Just look at the Weasleys. Molly has seven children and she loves them all equally.”
“Yes, but they are actually her children,” said Harry reasonably. “My parents are dead, so it’s really not the same. Luc, don’t worry about it. I am happy about the baby no matter what happens.” Harry suddenly smiled impishly. “We can at least share pregnancy stories. He ate crackers and honey with me this afternoon.”
“Crackers and honey?” asked Lucius, wrinkling his nose in disgust. “That’s one thing I don’t mind you sharing with Severus.” He heard Severus back out of the room and smiled. Things would be all right for a while.
“Wimp,” said Harry teasingly.
*****
Dinner at the Weasleys was a strained affair. Lucius and Draco were extremely uncomfortable as they were subjected to numerous glares throughout the meal. Harry got increasingly upset about their attitude towards his mates until he finally just exploded.
“That is it!” he cried, startling everyone at the table. “Let me make one thing clear. Lucius and Draco are my husbands, my mates. I will not tolerate this attitude towards them. In case you’ve forgotten, they are the ones who helped me defeat Voldemort, and I love them. If you can’t accept that, then I think we should leave.”
“Hey, mate, we have no problems with them,” said George firmly.
“Yeah, if you’re happy, we’re happy,” said Fred, nodding his head emphatically.
“You know I’m on your side,” said Ron quietly.
“Well, I don’t accept this,” snapped Ginny angrily. “Have you forgotten what he did to me? I almost died because of Lucius bloody Malfoy. I won’t forgive him.”
“Miss Weasley, I didn’t have a choice about giving that to you,” said Lucius evenly.
“I don’t care. It’s still your fault,” said Ginny arrogantly. “Harry, as long as you’re with these bastards, I don’t even want to see your face. You’ve betrayed your family by being with them.”
“Ginny, I may have considered you a sister in the past, but right now I consider you a childish little brat. I will be more than happy to leave your presence. I’m happy now. I have two mates who love me and a child on the way. I refuse to throw that away because you don’t like my choice of spouse,” said Harry imperiously. He threw his napkin on the table in disgust and climbed carefully to his feet. “I’ve completely lost my appetite. I’m ready to go home, Luc.”
“Come on, kitten,” said Draco, wrapping an arm around his mate’s waist and leading him out of the room.
“Thank you for dinner,” said Lucius politely, nodding briefly and following Harry and Draco out of the room. He opened a portal and they were home within minutes.
*****
“Draco, are you happy here?” asked Harry hesitantly.
“Of course I am. Why?” asked Draco, staring at Harry with worry.
“Well, this house is a little small with the three of us and Remi and Sev. Plus we have a baby on the way, and so do they,” said Harry quietly.
“What are you trying to say? That you want Severus and Remus to move out?” asked Draco incredulously.
“No!” said Harry emphatically. “I was thinking about giving Remi and Sev this house, and us moving out.”
“And just where would we go, kitten? All of the Malfoy property was seized by the Ministry and Grimmauld Place was destroyed by the Dark Lord,” said Draco irritably. He still couldn’t believe that after all they did to save the wizarding world, the Ministry had still taken all of their property. His only consolation was that they had gotten to keep their money.
“Never mind. It was just a thought,” said Harry quietly, backing out of the room quickly. He didn’t know why, but he’d felt really restless the last two weeks. Deciding that a nap would probably make him feel a little better, Harry carefully climbed the stairs to his room. Halfway up the stairs, a sharp pain stabbed through his stomach. Harry grunted at the pain and rubbed his belly soothingly before continuing up the stairs. Five minutes later, just as he reached his room, another pain shot through his belly. A sudden gush of wetness from his lower regions made his eyes widen in sudden realization. “Lucius!” He waited until the next contraction hit, but Lucius still hadn’t answered. He pointed his wand at the puddle of fluid, and spelled it away. “Lucius! Sev!” Another contraction hit, this time a little sooner. “Damnit, where is everyone when you need them?” Harry went into his bedroom and pulled off his sodden clothing, pulling on a robe instead.
“Harry?” called Remus through the door. “Are you all right? I heard you yell for Lucius and Severus, but they’re not here.”
Harry yanked the door open with a snarl. “They’re not here? Where the fuck did they go?” growled Harry angrily. Lucius knew he would go into labour any day, and that bastard had left him. “That bastard. I can’t believe he left when he knew I could go into labour. Owww. Fuck that hurts. I am going to kill him when he gets back. I am in pain, and he’s not here to help me. This is his daughter.”
“You’re in labour?” screeched Remus in panic. He didn’t know what to do. Severus was the one who had been preparing for Taryn’s birth. He flinched when Harry growled at him, flashing his fangs. “Okay, how far apart are the contractions?”
“Less than five minutes,” snapped Harry, “But my water has already broken.”
“Bloody hell,” cried Remus, running his hand through his hair nervously. “Fuck, Harry, I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to deliver a baby, especially from a male pregnancy. I’ll be right back.” Remus ran from the room to the nearest fireplace, leaving a panic-stricken and hurting Harry behind. He flooed the Ministry, asking them if Lucius and Severus were still there, but he was told that they had left over an hour ago. Really about to freak now, Remus finally recalled that Draco could open portals. He ran down the stairs into the living room. “Draco, you need to open a portal and find Lucius and Sev. Harry’s in labour.”
“Damnit,” said Draco, jumping to his feet and concentrating on opening a portal to his father’s location. The portal finally opened, and he practically dove into the swirling green depths. Landing on the ground, Draco saw his father and Severus embracing each other and growled angrily. “What the fuck are you doing?” he snarled, watching them spring apart guiltily. “I was sent to find you because Harry’s in labour and you betray him like this? How could you do that to him?”
“Draco, it’s not what you think,” said Lucius calmly, ignoring Draco’s scoff of disbelief. “I knew that Harry was getting restless and feeling a little crowded, so Sev and I went to the Ministry to ask them to release the Malfoy property. The Minister refused to relinquish our property.”
“And this has what to do with betraying our mate?” sneered Draco impatiently.
“I offered to buy Severus and Remus their own house,” said Lucius abruptly. “Severus started crying so I hugged him.”
“Right,” mocked Draco, “Because Severus normally cries over things like that. Now pull the other leg.”
“He’s telling the truth, you little prat,” snapped Severus, turning to face Draco as he wiped the tears off his face. “I’m pregnant, so my emotions are a little wild at the moment.”
“I would never betray Harry like that,” said Lucius quietly. “I love him more than anything. I couldn’t hurt him in such a way.”
“That’s good to know, but we’ve gotta go,” said Draco quickly, remembering why he was there in the first place. “Harry’s in labour, and Remus is a total wreck.” He quickly opened a portal back to Godric’s Hollow, and they were home in minutes. “He’s in our bedroom, so hurry.”
Lucius practically dragged Severus up the stairs in his haste to get to Harry’s side. A loud scream reached them as they reached the top of the staircase. This time, Severus left Lucius in his wake as he raced to his proclaimed son. Flinging the door open, Severus saw Remus starting the spell to cut open Harry’s stomach.
“No!” he yelled frantically, lunging across the room and knocking the werewolf’s wand away. “Elves have natural wombs, so the males give birth anally.” He turned to check on Harry and saw the grimace of pain on the elf’s face. “Harry, how are you?”
Harry stared at Severus in total disbelief. Then he exploded. “I am in fucking pain here. How do you think I’m doing?” he snarled viciously. “Make it stop, Sev.” He saw Lucius standing nervously at the door. “Help me, Luc. It hurts.” Lucius quickly climbed into the bed behind Harry, whispering soothingly to the pain-racked brunette.
Ignoring Harry’s burst of temper, Severus pushed Harry’s legs apart and checked to see how far he was dilated. “Bloody Hell, Harry, you’re fully dilated. On the next contraction, push.” Severus felt Harry’s stomach tighten with the contraction. “Push, Harry. Now!” Harry pushed through the contraction and collapsed weakly as the contraction eased.
Harry groaned as another contraction hit, mindlessly obeying Severus’ demands to push. He screamed at an unbearable pressure in his anal passage and cried silently when it eased with a pop. “Good, Harry. The head is out. Just a few more pushes,” cried Severus, pulling the baby out as the shoulders pushed through. Severus placed the baby on Harry’s chest and quickly cut and tied the umbilical cord. Handing the little girl to Remus for him to clean, Severus commanded Harry to push once more and disposed of the afterbirth.
“It’s over now, love,” whispered Lucius, stroking Harry’s sweaty brow. “Our little girl is finally here.” He winced as Harry suddenly gripped his arm in a fierce hold, panting as another pain raced through him. Instinctively pushing through the contraction, Harry collapsed against Lucius.
“No, Harry!” cried Severus, running back to the elf. “You’ll hemorrhage if you keep pushing like that.” He paused as he saw another contraction ripple through Harry’s stomach. “Fuck, Harry, push.”
“You just said not to push,” cried Harry, pushing once again. Three minutes later, Harry gave birth to a little boy. He was smaller than his sister, only four pounds nine ounces. Taryn weighed in at five pounds five ounces.
“You have a little boy, Harry,” said Severus, placing the little boy gently in Harry’s arms while Remus handed Taryn to Lucius. “What are you going to name him?”
“Can you do a quick paternity spell on him?” asked Harry quietly, smiling at his youngest child. “I have a feeling this little one is Draco’s.” A paternity spell confirmed that the little boy was indeed Draco’s son. “Remus, will you ask Draco to come in? He’s right outside the door.” Remus walked to the door and wordlessly pulled the surprised blonde into the room. “Draco, I have someone you need to meet.” Draco slowly walked to the bed and watched Harry uncover the baby he was holding. “Meet your son. He took everyone by surprise, except for maybe Cely. I think she knew all along.”
“My son?” asked Draco, staring at the baby in awe. “What did you name him?”
“I wanted to ask if you had any suggestions,” said Harry simply. “I named Taryn, but I was totally unprepared for a boy. So, anything come to mind?”
“Rowan,” said Draco quietly. “Rowan Ashton Malfoy.”
“What do you think?” Harry asked the baby. “You like Rowan?” Rowan squealed and waved his fists furiously. “Rowan, it is.”
*****
Two weeks after the birth, Harry was packing his bags once more. Lucius had convinced Severus and Remus to let him have a house built for them. With a little negotiating, he’d also managed to procure the parcel of land bordering Harry’s house and made preparations for the house to be built there. Now Lucius, Harry, and Draco were leaving to visit Cely and Uri again. Harry had a major bone to pick with his grandmother for not telling him about Rowan.
“Ready, love?” asked Lucius, startling Harry from his thoughts.
Harry smiled and nodded, taking Taryn from her father and following Lucius to the library where Draco was waiting. Lucius opened a portal and they appeared directly into the room with Aracely. “Cely, you are in so much trouble,” said Harry by way of greeting. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell me about Rowan.”
“I thought it would be a nice surprise, Harry,” said Aracely, smiling benignly at her grandson. “For you, and for Draco.”
“It was definitely a surprise,” muttered Harry with a pout.
“Oh, give it up, kitten,” said Draco laughingly. “She’s always gonna know more than she lets on. You should be used to it after dealing with that old coot Dumbledore for so long.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right,” sighed Harry. “So, Cely, what do you see in my future?”
“Three more children- two for Draco, one for Lucius,” said Aracely with a smile. “A little pain and hurt feelings, and a lot of happiness. You’re going to have one interesting marriage.”
