Make Him Happy
Ch 21 Make Him Happy
Draco woke feeling cold and alone, still on Harry’s bed. After a quick glance around the room, Draco slid from the bed, and went looking for Harry. The bathroom door was open, as was the one to the shower room, no Harry there. He went to the common room; Blaise and Justin were there, but no Harry.
“Hey Draco, you’re finally up.” Blaise chimed with a laugh.
“Yea, you slept through breakfast and lunch.” Justin said from behind a Transfiguration text.
“Have you seen Harry?” Draco asked, glancing around the room.
“Um…. Yea.. he left a little over an hour ago, what did he say Blaise… something about training by the lake?” Justin asked, setting down the book he was reading.
“That’s what he said. Said he had to meet the twins.” Blaise commented pulling the discarded book in front of him, “Why do you ask?”
Draco looked hard at Blaise, “No matter, I will go get him.”
Quickly Draco went back to his room, changed his clothes, and left the dorm. He didn’t understand how it was possible that he went to sleep with Harry clinging tightly to him, only to wake a few short hours later to find him gone without a word. Draco swept through the castle and out onto the grounds, he was quite upset that Harry had left without saying anything to him. His instincts were telling him to find his mate and make him understand; make him see that this wasn’t to be done. Draco felt disrespected, Harry had not shown him respect as his dominant, and he had just left. He could feel the presence in his head, he could feel Harry, all he had to do was find him and make him see.
Harry stood in the field by the lake, in a fighting stance, staff gripped loosely in his hands awaiting Loki’s attack. Once it began the moves were swift, perfect, and graceful. Lucas sat next to the lake looking on as his brother took his chances against the other young man. The mock fight went on for nearly ten minutes when Lucas heard the crunching of grass to his right; looking away from the sparing pair he saw Draco stalking toward them and stood quickly. He glanced back toward the mock fight, but knew better than to call. The movements were in full swing now, the crashing of wood on wood, both parties jumping and blocking in a beautiful display of combat. Lucas looked toward the rapidly approaching Draco, making a small wave with his hand, beckoning him over to where he now stood.
Loki was good, slightly better than his brother, and as such it was taking longer for Harry to find his opening to take him down. The fight progressed and Harry and Loki both had large grins on their faces, they were both enjoying the artistry of the battle, the swift, graceful movements flowing between them. With a final burst of energy, Harry crouched and knocked Loki’s knees out with his staff, causing him to fall to the ground. Harry loomed over Loki, slamming his staff on the ground next to Loki’s head, chuckling.
“I win.” Harry said down to him smiling. “You’re good though.” He extended a hand to help up his fallen friend. “Really good, you had me worried.” Loki brushed himself off and picked up his staff.
“Yea…. You won…” Loki laughed. “At least I lasted longer than he did.” Pointing toward where Lucas stood. His smile fell slightly, seeing the look on his brother’s face as he watched an approaching, angry Draco. “Um…. Harry…” Loki looked back at Harry to find him looking over the lake, leaning on his staff.
Draco swept past Lucas, growling, his eyes trained on Harry as he stood by the lake. A quick glare at Loki and he walked quickly over toward his brother. Loki approached his brother mouthing, “What the fuck?” Lucas just shrugged, looking over Loki’s shoulder to Harry and Draco.
Harry’s eyes were unfocused as they looked across the lake. He enjoyed sparing with the twins, it really relaxed him. His body felt so fluid, so graceful, so intone. Harry’s heart rate had just reached normal when a hand tightly gripped his arm and spun him around. Harry was off balance and surprised, and quickly tried to pull out of the grip that was vice-like around his arm. However this action only caused a second hand to grip his other arm holding him firm.
Harry looked up into hard molten eyes. Draco stared down into Harry’s surprised and confused emerald eyes, narrowing his own to slits. “What do you think you are doing?” he asked in a hard, angry voice, tightening his grip on Harry’s upper arms. Harry pulled back, struggling again.
“What do you mean?” Harry asked, narrowing his eyes slightly.
“I mean,” tightening his grip further, “What do you think you are doing out here?” Draco pulled Harry closer, “You didn’t tell me you were leaving.” He concluded sternly.
“No, I didn’t.” Harry spat, “You aren’t my keeper, I can do things with my friends if I want to.” Harry growled, “I don’t need your permission.”
“Oh, but Harry, you do.” Draco leaned closer to Harry’s ear, “You are my sub,” a quick lick to the shell of Harry’s ear, “and I will not be disrespected like that.” Draco nuzzled his nose under Harry’s ear, breathing in deeply Harry’s scent. “This is nature, my Harry, and you can’t fight it. You can’t will that fact away. I know that you can feel the bond, I can feel that you feel it.”
Harry felt light headed, he wasn’t sure what was going on really. The only thing that he was sure of was that Draco was warm, close, and smelled awfully good. There were hands gripping his arms tight enough to bruise, but Harry found that he didn’t care merely resting his forehead on Draco’s shoulder. Draco was right; he could feel a link between himself and the other young man. He wasn’t positive why it was there, or even what it was. The single thought running through Harry’s mind was, ‘make him happy.’
“Harry, I think we should go back inside. Have a little chat, just you and me, what do you think?” Draco asked against Harry’s neck, in a soft sweet voice.
“Yes, Draco.” Harry answered with a nod. Draco released his grip on Harry’s arms, to slide one of his arms around Harry’s waist with a possessive firm grip on Harry’s hip. Draco walked Harry back to the castle, a wicked grin on his face.
Loki and Lucas looked from the couple to each other, and back again.
“Luke, what the hell just happened?”
“I don’t know… I mean… they are mates… but I’ve never seen anything like that before…” Lucas looked at Loki, “I’ve never seen anyone act like that before when they weren’t even fully bonded yet.”
“Yea, but as we all know… Harry doesn’t do anything normal, does he?” Both boys looked after the pair as they reached the castle door. “We should go get Cord.” Loki ran and grabbed Harry’s sparing staff and both boys jogged back to the castle to find Cord.
