Harry knew that going outside when the full moon was up wasn't safe even if he was Remus' lover. Remus the man may have known not to bite and change him, but Moony wasn't aware of the problems that would come with that.

So he knew he made a mistake the second he walked out of the house to get some fresh air and Moony howled from where ever he was.

Turning to run back to the house, Harry was instantly tackled to the ground by the large, furry form of Moony.

Feeling slobber and hot breath on the back of his neck, Harry whimpered out, “Moony don't!”

As Moony sank his teeth into his neck, Harry wished he had been able to get his Animagus form because now Remus was going to hate himself for changing him.

When Moony let go of his neck and curled up around Harry to keep him warm, Harry ran his fingers through the fur, hoping he'd be able to keep Remus from hating himself for what happened.
