When Worlds Collide
Summery: Hermione is being targeted by an evil that hasn’t set foot on earth in over a thousand years. Now, she must be protected. What happens when she and her protector fall in love? R/R
Chapter 20
Hermione stood watching Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Severus practicing with light sabers. She had finally come to a decision. She only had to tell her friends. Ron had arrived from the Burrow that morning. Just then, Ron, Harry, and Draco came walking up.
“You wanted to see us?” Ron asked.
“Yeah. Guys, I know you’ve heard about the options the council has given Anakin and I. I have decided to return to Coruacant with him after we are married.” Hermione blurted out.
The guys looked at each other and smiled. What Hermione didn’t know was that Obi-Wan had talked to them that morning. It was Draco who spoke up first. “Mione, we’ll always be friends. But there’s something you should know.”
“What?” Hermione asked.
“You know that Harry and I are descendants. What you don’t know is that the council has offered for me and Draco to return to Coruacant and become Padawan Learners. We accepted. Severus will be teaching potions at the Jedi Temple. Ron here, has been offered a position at the new temple they will be building here on Earth. He will be teaching the younglings the history of our magical community.” Harry explained.
“This is wonderful! At least we will still be able to stay in touch!” Hermione cried. The four friends hugged each other and began laughing.

For a week, the group prepared to leave. Hermione had decided to wait till after the wedding to tell Anakin what she had discovered. Ron, Minerva, Albus, and Poppy stood in front of the ship that would take Hermione, Anakin, Draco, Harry, Severus, and Obi-Wan back to Coruacant.
“I wish you guys the best of luck.” Albus smiled.
“We’ll miss you.” Minerva said tearfully.
Hermione walked over and hugged the older witch. Draco, Harry, and Severus followed suit. Ron walked over and got pulled into a group hug by Harry. Obi-Wan, Anakin, Poppy, Albus, and Minerva looked on with bright smiles.
“Well, you guys better get going. Don’t forget to write. Or whatever it is you guys will be using to stay in touch.” Ron laughed.
One by one they climbed aboard the ship. Severus was the last. He turned and faced his friends and his home. With a smile and a wave, he turned and entered the ship. Ready to face a new future and a new life.

Hermione gasped as she caught sight of Coruacant for the first time. Anakin smiled as he too remembered his thoughts when he saw the planet for the first time. “It’s beautiful.” Hermione gasped.
“Yes it is. Look, there’s Padme, Master Yoda and Master Windu on the landing platform.” Anakin pointed as they started their landing.
One by one, they disembarked from the ship and went up to greet Padme, Yoda, and Mace. Hermione, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Harry, and Draco bowed to the three. Anakin stood up straight and hurried to Padme, who hugged him.
“Welcome home Ani. I’ve been worried about you.” Padme said.
“It’s good to be home. Oh, Padme, I’d like to meet Hermione. Hermione, this is Padme Amadala, Senator for the planet Naboo.” Anakin introduced.
“It’s nice to finally meet you. Anakin has told me a lot about you.” Hermione smiled as she shook Padme’s hand.
“It’s nice to meet you as well. I was quite surprised when Ani told me the council’s decision, but after meeting you, I can understand. You are a perfect match for him.” Padme smiled.
“I think we should get going. Severus took the liberty of getting apartments set up for you all when we here for the trial.” Mace said.

Hermione stood on the balcony of her and Anakin’s apartment. Their new home was located three floors up from Padme’s own apartment. Draco and Harry’s apartment was a floor above them, and Severus moved into an apartment at the Jedi Temple. Anakin walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
“What are you thinking about?” He asked.
“How soon can we get married.” She answered.
“Would tonight be too soon?” He questioned.
“Right now wouldn’t be soon enough.” She sighed as she turned in his arms and kissed him.
Anakin returned the kiss. He felt the same way. All he cared about at that moment was making Hermione his wife. The two had agreed they wouldn’t have sex again until they were married. They slowly came apart.
“If you want, we can go to the Temple now, and see if Master Yoda can marry us?” Anakin suggested.
“Yes. I can’t wait any longer to be your wife.” Hermione answered.
That’s exactly what they did. Within two hours, they had their friends at the Temple and Yoda presided over the marriage. The marriage was a simple ceremony that the Jedi used when they married couples.
“Kiss your bride you may.” Yoda smiled.
Anakin smiled as he gratefully pulled Hermione into his arms and kissed her. Everyone clapped for the happy couple. Padme smiled as she watched her friend kiss his new bride. Severus, Harry, and Draco looked on in happiness.
“Congratulations Anakin.” Obi-Wan said as he embraced Anakin.
“Thank you.” Anakin replied.
“Very happy, I see you two will be.” Yoda smiled as he approached the couple.
“Thank you for your blessings Maser Yoda.” Hermione said as she leaned down and kissed Yoda’s cheek.
There was a small reception in an adjacent room to the meeting chambers. After three hours of laughing, eating, and talking with their friends, the newly weds retired to their apartment. Anakin carried Hermione over the threshold of their home and made a beeline for the bedroom. Hermione laughing all the way.
Hours later, they stood on their balcony watching the twinkling lights of Coruacant glitter around them. Hermione decided now was the perfect time to tell Anakin.
“Anakin, there’s something I need to tell you.” She said somewhat nervously.
“What is it? Is something wrong?” He asked.
“No, well…at least I don’t think it’s wrong. Anakin, I’m pregnant.” She answered.
Anakin froze. He turned and stared into her eyes. He saw how scared and happy she was. To relieve her fears, he broke into a huge smile and hugged her tightly. “I’m going to be a father? Hermione, you have just made me the happiest man in all the galaxy! Thank you!”
Hermione returned the smile as she hugged him back. They would let the Jedi know in the morning, right now they would celebrate in private. The worries of the world could wait till the morning.
