Darkened Lust
Part Twenty
By Ami E. Bowen and Rebecca (Becca) Middleton
Disclaimer As always, any characters from Harry Potter belong to J.K. Rowling. We're merely borrowing them for a spell...
Severus pulled out of Ami and placed a soft kiss upon the side of her throat, "Very good, my pet," he murmured, before finding his wand once more and casting the now-familar cleansing spell. Becca sighed and leaned against her friend as Severus removed the magical shackles.
Ami fell downwards into Becca's arms and the two, wrapped within each other's arms, curled together upon the bed. "Very good..." He placed his wand upon the headboard once more and gazed, hooded-eyed at them.
Moving apart, Ami and Becca made room for their lover between them and instantly moved to cuddle against either side of him. Linking his arms about thier waists, he pulled them ever closer and kissed them each in turn, deeply.
"Sleep for a while, my little loves," he whispered, "My brave ones...sleep..." Unable to resist his words nor the tender stroking of thier hair and backs as he held them close, the exhausted women closed thier eyes and fell each into blackness.
Ami was woken sometime later. She wasn't sure exactly how long she'd slept, this time, only that it had been wonderfully deep and blessedly dreamless. She only knew, from the strange feeling of trepidation, that something had awoken her.
She wondered, vaguely, if she hadn't been dreaming after all and had merely forgotten the nightmare upon waking. It wouldn't have been the first time it had happened.
Suddenly, she heard what sounded like a crash, such as glass breaking and a softly muttered oath. The voice sounded familar.
"S-Sev..." she began, sitting up instantly. Severus' hand raised to her mouth as he followed her lead. His eyes told her to keep silent. He nodded at her unspoken query. He'd heard it too. He had probably been awake longer than either of them.
Becca stirred and Ami tapped her shoulder, rousing her. She lifted a finger to her lips in a gesture unmistable and Becca's blue eyes widened mometarily before she too turned to look towards the bedroom door, which Snape had thought to close, at the sound of someone moving about outside of it.
More than one someones from the sounds of the voices, drawing nearer. The three remained still and listened as a smirk began to tilt the corners of Snape's lips upwards.
"Are you sure this is the right place?"
"Shh! You're going to get us caught!"
"Hush! Both of you! I know what I'm..." Another crash, "Oh! Can't you watch where you're...Oh!" The voice was cut off as the bedroom door was flung open and Snape was instantly on his feet, Becca and Ami behind him on the bed. It was like a replay of what had happened with Lucius Malfoy, both women found themselves thinking.
The women thought to pull the blanket up over themselves quickly enough to prevent anyone who shouldn't from seeing more than...well, than they should.
"So," Snape's voice was cold, yet slightly amused, "The cleverist girl in Gryffindor and her two sidekicks."
"Snape..." A young man with messy dark hair and glasses, dressed in jeans and a dark green tee-shirt, a look of crimson anger and pain flashing within his jade-hued eyes, was pointing his wand straight at Snape's chest.
The single word seemed to be the only thing he could summon from his mouth at the moment and Snape did not fail to notice the shaking of his wand-hand.
"Snape...you...disgusting...greasy...MURDERER! You..." Harry tried again, panting out each word, and everyone could feel the emotions racing through the boy, "...killed...Dumbledore...!"
"H-Harry...don't!" Hermione Granger, who had entered the room first, to be shoved aside by Harry Potter, cried out at the same time as the ginger-haired youth with a wide-eyed look, shouted; "Bloody hell!"
“Crucio!” Harry Potter yelled, and both women screamed. Before the sound had died away, however, they heard Severus laughing.
“Be easy, my loves,” he said over his shoulder. “After our visit from Lucius, I took some extra precautions. The only wand that will work in this house is mine.”
“Then I’ll kill you with my bare hands!” Harry yelled, and lunged toward Snape, only to be pushed aside by the older wizard. Harry went flying into the wall and slid down it to the floor.
“Harry!” both his friends yelled, rushing to his side, and Snape took advantage of the distraction to retrieve his wand. Harry got to his feet in time to see Snape pointing his wand at him. “Immobulous,” he intoned, and Harry was frozen in place.
“Don’t hurt him!” Hermione yelled. “You’ll have to kill all of us first!”
“I have no intention of harming any of you. If I had wanted to kill Potter, or the two of you, I could have done so before leaving Hogwarts. Now, if you and Mr. Weasley will kindly drag Mr. Potter into the sitting room so that my ladies and I can get dressed, I think you should hear what they have to say about our world.”
For the first time, Hermione fully realized that Snape was naked. She gaped, blushed, and quickly averted her eyes. Ron cast a quick glance at Ami and Becca, then, also blushing, looked away. “Who are they?” he asked.
“My ladies,” Snape growled at the redhead. “And as such, I would appreciate it if you would give them some privacy. I insist upon it.”
One look at Snape’s face was enough to convince Ron. “Come on, ‘Mione,” he muttered, and took one of Harry’s arms. As Hermione just stood there, he reached out and shook her arm. “Come on!”
“But…he’ll get away, Ron,” she protested. “One of us should stay…to guard him.”
“If he wants to get away, I reckon he can do it with us watching, don’t you? Come on,” Ron replied. Hermione seemed in an agony of indecision, but finally decided to do as her boyfriend said. Taking Harry’s other arm, she said without looking at Snape, “We’ll be waiting!”
“Of course you will,” Snape said. “We will be but a moment.”
When the three young wizards had left the room, Snape quickly turned to the women. A smirk still played about his lips as he told them to get dressed. It took them a bit longer since they of course couldn’t use magic to speed the process along. By the time they had finished, he was sitting on the bed watching them leisurely.
“OK, Severus. I thought you were supposed to be hiding. What did you do, take out an ad in the Daily Prophet?” Becca asked. Ami smacked her shoulder but was unable to smother a smile.
“I have taken all the precautions I am capable of taking, love. However, nearly every spell has a counterspell. A way ‘round it, if you prefer. For those who are truly determined to find me…” he waved his hand at the door. “Well, you see.”
“Should we expect anyone else?” Ami asked.
Severus’s lip curled. “I sincerely hope not. The Ministry, the Order…I don’t believe they would think to look in other worlds.” He seemed to be talking to himself now. “Dumbledore would have…” The women both noticed the fleeting look of sorrow on his face when he spoke Dumbledore’s name. He was silent for a few seconds, then seemed to gather himself once more. “In any case, I suppose we must now deal with Potter and his loyal sidekicks.
“Rebecca, where is the book about Harry Potter that you showed me?”
“Still in the kitchen, I guess. I should show it to them?”
Snape nodded. “I want you and Ami to tell them everything that you told me. Not that I want Potter’s ego inflated any more than it is, knowing that he is famous in at least two worlds.” He sneered.
Ami tentatively said, “Maybe it would deflate it, Severus. Knowing that he is only a character in a book in this world.”
“As am I, my pet,” he said.
Ami blushed, “Oh, I didn’t mean…”
Snape cut her off with an impatient wave of his hand. “I am satisfied of my own reality, Ami. You needn’t apologize to me. And I think I’ve quite proven my reality to the two of you, haven’t I?” Both women, suddenly conscious of the soreness between their legs, and their bruised thighs, grinned at him. It was all the answer he needed. He felt a renewed flash of lust, and quickly controlled it. Now was not the time to indulge himself.
He rose from the bed and held his hands out for them to take. When they did so, he kissed each of them on the cheek. “Not afraid, are you?”
“A little,” Becca answered for both of them.
He nodded. “Good. A bit of fear sharpens the senses. Though you don’t have to worry about these three harming you. Especially since the soft-hearted Miss Granger is with them. Now…let’s go explain to them exactly where they came from.” Both women heard the barely suppressed mirth in his voice and realized that he was looking forward to the confrontation.
Upon entering the livingroom, Ami, Becca and Snape found the trio standing, somewhat ill-at-ease, with Potter held stiffly between them. Ami, who was cleaning her glasses with the edge of her long-sleeved black tee-shirt, (both women had chosen to dress informally, jeans and tee-shirts.), winced as spied Harry and asked; "If he promises to behave, can you..."
Reading her thoughts easily enough, Snape nodded and gestured towards Harry with his wand, reversing the spell. Harry tried to leap forward but was restrained by his two friends. Becca and Ami both noticed the look of hurt he cast them, as though they'd betrayed him somehow. The trio sat down together on the sofa and Becca excused herself for a moment. "I'll be right back..." she said, before heading towards the kitchen.
"Professor Snape, sir," Hermione began, her hand raised in the air as though she were back in school. She realized her action and quickly lowered it, blushing furiously, "I-I don't understand... we've been trying to find you... and..." She rubbed her eyes and shoved her thick, light brownish hair from her rather pixie-ish face.
"Who exactly are you two?" Ron asked just as Becca rejoined them. Snape was standing next to Ami and motioned Becca to his other side. She came to him instantly, holding something in her arms. A book. Hermione's eyes lit up noticably and Ami resisted the urge to smirk and roll her eyes towards her friend.
"Don't be rude, Ronald!" Hermione scolded and, after patting Harry and asking him to sit still for a moment, (Harry narrowed his eyes, but folded his arms and sunk lower into the sofa, seemingly content, for the moment, to allow them to say what they wanted to say), stood up and approached her old teacher and his companions.
"My name is Hermione Granger," she said, formally, holding out her hand towards Becca, "Those two are Ronald Weasely, my boyfriend," she flushed slightly at this before going on, "And Harry Potter."
"Nice to meet you, Hermione," Becca said, it was hard to not like the plucky little Gryffindor, in spite of her insufferable know-it-all ways, "I'm Rebecca Middleton and this is my...well... we're much more than friends, aren't we, Ami?" Ami nodded and smiled, and Becca went on; "Ami Bowen and of course, you all ready know your old Potions Master..."
"But... What are you doing here?" Ron squeaked, sounding much like his old pet rat; Scabbers, "I mean... with...and you two...muggles...and the bed...Oh..."
"Honestly, Ronald!" Hermoine shook her head, as they all found seats around the livingroom, "We're all adults here. What Professor Snape does in his free time is none of our concern..."
"B-but..." Ron swung his gaze upon Becca and Ami, but it was Harry who'd finished his sentence for him. "You let him touch you? How could you...?" he said, and the disgust in his tone was hardly concealed.
Both Ami and Becca felt their hackles go up and Becca said, as Ami's eyes narrowed behind her glasses towards the bespeckled young man; "Watch your mouth. Your former Professor is a guest in my house and I won't have anyone, least of all you bad-mouthing him."
"He's a filthy murderer!" Harry exclaimed, "And you two are helping him!"
"Harry... please!" Hermione said, grabbing his arm again, "Calm down! Maybe...maybe we should listen to..."
"Silence!" Snape roared, his voice carrying above everyone's prattle. "Now. I am quite aware of Mr. Potter's...feelings towards me. There is no need to defend me, my pets, I can assure you that I am quite use to people's dislike and distrust of me..."
Hermione and Ron glanced at each other over Harry's head at Snape's words and especially at his use of the endearment in regards to the two muggles seated before them. "Miss Middleton... if you would..." Becca nodded and looked down at the book she held. She turned it right-side up and displayed the cover for everyone to see.
Of course, it was Hermione who had instant interest. She rose from her seat and came forward to inspect the book's cover. "H-Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" she read, slowly, her voice a mixture of confusion and something bordering on awe.
If she'd been asked to venture a guess, Becca would have thought that seeing her name in print on the cover of a book would be enough to cause Hermione Granger to wet herself. She nearly giggled at the thought, but knew that now was not the time for silliness.
"There's a book about you, Harry!" she squealed and began to page through it, scanning the text rapidly. "Oh, wow! We're in here, too, Ron!" After a moment she laid aside the book, sat back down and clasped her hands in her lap. now they had her full attention. They had the attention of all three of them, in fact.
"That is how we found him," Ami said, "And how we know about you... This might come as a shock..."
"Hermione... you, Ron and Harry... and Severus..." Becca chewed her lip for a moment, "Aren't...well... you're not real... I mean...of course, you're real... just... in our world, Ami's and mine, you only exist within the pages of a few books and on a movie screen..."
"You're the product of a muggle's imagination..." Ami said, and under her breath, "Goddess... I hate this..."
"But... that's...not..." Ron was sputtering and Becca felt a rush of pity for him, for all of them. It must be quite a blow to find out that you're nothing more than the workings of an overimaginative writer... "Possible...?"
"It is very possible, Mr. Weasely," Snape snapped, and turned towards Ami and Becca; "Please, continue..."
