Chapter 21 The End?
The extended family went shopping as promised. The girls were introduced into the Wizarding World from the safety of their fathers’ arms and were immediately accepted. It took a small army of house-elves to deliver their purchases that day.
The shopping trips soon became a habit among the family; even if nothing was bought it was still a good outing. However, growing children, after all, needed clothes, toys, books and supplies. Daddy and Papa made sure they had everything a child needed, some things they didn’t need but wanted but were never ‘spoiled’ by their parents. They left that up to Aunt Hermione, Uncle Severus, Poppy and any other adults that were welcomed into their lives.
Several years passed quickly. The girls grew, learned to trust their family and learned to be carefree children. Laughter was heard through the house from all of them, even the house-elves would join in.
It was the morning of the third year anniversary of their homecoming. Harry woke up to an empty bed. He laid there listening to the house sounds when he heard his husband being ill. Rushing into the bathroom, he discovered Draco’s head over the toilet. Dropping to his knees, he held the blond as best as he could. Draco turned to him and tried to smile.
“We’ve been blessed Harry. Looks like more shopping ahead.”
Harry kissed his husband’s pale soft cheek. “We’ll do what we have to Draco and give thanks. Boy or girl this time?”
Draco laughed. “We’ll find out in about five and a half months.”
True to his word, they found out almost five and a half months to the day. The Powers that Be had graced them with twin boys. Both had the Malfoy hair. The eldest of the twins, Cassidy Finn had the Malfoy eyes. The younger twin, Gannon Dempsy had his Daddy’s green eyes with strong flecks of grey.
Harry and Draco gave thanks to the Powers that be, the Goddess and the gods for blessing them with their children. They also asked for help in being good parents. Their thanks were accepted and their prayers were answered.
Draco and Harry had one more child. Another little boy was born into the family. He was a replica of his father’s dark hair and green eyes with the Malfoy nose and chin. The family gave thanks for his addition and named him Allan James.
As for Ron and Pansy Weasley? The Powers that Be never blessed them with children. Pansy was the talk of the Wizarding World for a while when the stories circulated. She was the one blamed for a Weasley not procreating. Ron never gave up getting furry but Pansy was the only female he took to bed. It seemed she had a new fascination and obsession with excessive red hair.
Ron also found out about Dudley’s death and wasn’t too bothered. He did, however, manage to find a male lover that resembled a cross between Percy and Dudley. Harry and Draco knew about him but Ron thought they were the only ones. Severus knew and smirked with them especially when his crumpet would rub her pregnant swollen stomach. Severus and Hermione were the proud parents of five of their own children eventually.
Pansy remained clueless or pretended to be clueless. As the sole female of their age in the Weasley family Ginevra felt it was her obligation to shut up the malicious gossipers while defending her family name in relation to her sister-in-law. However, Ginny made sure to whisper into the largest gossip’s ears that Pansy Parkinson Weasley had been drugged and ravished by that heathen she called ‘Uncle Jerome’. Of course, Ginny also stressed they were in no way related, it was only an honorific and Pansy was completely devoted to Ron.
Ginny also could not help smiling when she mentioned that said devotion. Ginny had found Pansy’s three lovers and if she had a mean curse in school, she reminded them of a female Weasley’s temper. It was also talked about how three men made certain to never cross the path with any of the Weasley’s, in fact they went as far from them as possible.
In case anyone wonders about the dispensation of the “worst kind of muggles’, the head of the Aurors handled that also. It was strange to find them in a car crash. The muggle doctors could only figure out that Vernon had a heart attack while driving and ran off the road. The car collided with a stone wall. The impact broke Petunia’s neck, killing her immediately. As for Dudley, they figured he was playing with his knife in the rear seat and when the car impacted he drove the knife into his own chest. His were the only fingerprints found on it.
Harry and Draco sat back, enjoyed their children as the years flowed by and gave thanks for them every day. They watched their children’s lives develop, through Hogwarts, professions and marriages. They took time to plan for their grandchildren and watched as their family and house grew. Most importantly, they watched their love obliterate any problems the Home Wrecker created and were stronger and loved each more than anyone thought possible. Their trials and tribulations were left in the past and love lived with them.
