Chapter 19
Title: The Marriage Law

Summery: The Ministry publicly tells the Wizarding world that the pureblooded families are in danger of dying out. To save the Wizarding world they pass the Marriage Law. How will a certain Muggle-born witch take it?

Chapter Nineteen: Baring The Past.
The deaths of Hermione’s parents hit her hard. Snape left her alone to get everything ready for the funeral. He had never seen anyone so determined that they would be baried properly. She talked to her friends, minus Ron and they tried to help her threw it. Hermione had stopped eating something that Snape told the nurse about.
“ If she doesn’t eat tomorrow I’ll have to take action.” Snape nodded and left.
True to the nurse words she did take action and Hermione started to eat again. Though Snape noticed not of her own free will. He wondered if Poppy had been a Slytherin in her past life. April started to come to a close with the attendence of the Grangers funeral. Wormtail was there though hiding, what he didn’t know what that Hermione knew that he was there, and was determined that he would pay for what he had done.
May started a few days later with Hermione making sure that their tombstone was put in place. She didn’t dare use magic around the Muggles that were doing the work, though it seemed that if magic was used that it would make things go faster. Meanwhile Wormtail told Voldemort that Mrs. Snape was defensless and that it would be the right time to attack. Wormtail was hit with the curse, which caused Harry to bolt out of bed. Voldemort might not of thought of attacking Hermione, but that didn’t stop Harry from seeing it. His powers were growing, and he needed some help in controlling them.
When Harry arrived in front of the Snape’s private rooms he knocked on the door. Hermione opened it and let Harry in.
“ Please set down.” He nodded and Hermione poured them something to drink. She handed it to him and he took a sip. “ So what’s wrong?”
“ I saw Voldemort attacking Peter, I don’t know if their planning something else, but it was enough to cause me to wake up.” Hermione looked away from him trying not to think about what one of those plans had done to her. Harry seemed to sense this. “ Look we can talk about this later, I thank you for the drink.”
“ No problem.” And with one last smile he left. Hermione made the glass disappear with a wave of her wand. She hated this life of hers, but she was determined to see it through for her child’s sake.
