Shiver

Without his ‘extra lessons’ time sails by, and I notice that Malfoy seems to have lost any interest in adding to my misery.  If anything, he treats me like everyone else—with polite indifference.

And my nerves finally seem to settle.  I am sleeping through the night.

And I begin to bury the incidents with him, relegating them to ‘just another bad thing that has happened to me’.

I had no idea how wrong I was to do this.

Because the holidays are here, and rather than face my parents, I elect to stay. After all, I see Malfoy leave with my own eyes.  And I know he will not be back for three weeks.

Traveling, apparently, with his family.

I had no idea the mistake I was making….or the trap I was walking into….
