Chapter Nineteen
(The Apple Doesn't Fall Far from the Tree)
“Mr. Weasley, I see you have improved.” She praised the boy with an approving smile. She’s been watching him for the past weeks and believed with more practice and dedication to the art he would make a fine dancer.
The red head beamed. He practiced all week just to improve his posture and footwork. “Thank you professor, I had help from some of my friends.” Not including Hermione.
She nodded and continued her inspection. Stopping at the next student, she made a face at what Lavender was doing. “Ms. Brown, what are you doing?” Indicating to the sensual gyration the girl’s hips seem to be engaged in.
Lavender smiled, glad that the professor noticed her newest dance. “I saw this one time when I went into muggle London with my aunt.” She let her body slowly drop to the floor, her hips not losing sync.
An inquiring brow rose. “Really and where did you see this dance at in muggle London, Ms. Brown?”
Popping her body back up, she twirled in a full circle. “A pub, I believe. They had this fast music and these girls went crazy on the bar. I couldn’t help but become fascinated with their movements and practiced how to perfect it.” She explained and stopped when she saw the disapproving look. “Is something wrong with me dance, professor?”
“No, Ms. Brown. Your technique is quite…entertaining; however we are not learning freestyle. We are working on jazz/contemporary. So please, try to keep your performance to a respectable level.”
Lavender pouted, but compelled as she went back to the “boring” routine from before.
Desdemona forced a kind smile before leaving. She really had to pay close attention to her female dancers.
Her last stop on her observation was her favorite student to tease. “Why, Mr. Malfoy…you’re actually following orders. I’m shocked.”
The blond gave her the trademark Malfoy smirk. “What choice do I have? Apparently you still believe Longbottom is the best and I’m here to prove you wrong.”
“Is that so, Mr. Malfoy?” She challenged.
“Yes and once I convinced you, I will then take my title as the best dancer Hogwarts ever laid eyes upon.”
Shaking her head, she gave him credit for his arrogance. Not many people can proudly say they called their professors out. “Well Mr. Malfoy, I cannot stop you from follow your dream. “
“A dream, professor, it is not. It will happen, maybe not today nor tomorrow, but before this school year ends you will take back those words.”
Render speechless, she could only look at the entity dubbed Draco Malfoy.
He truly is the son of Lucius Malfoy…
The apple didn't fall far, it was thrown into orbit.
Only her cousin would create something this...arrogant...
