Lucas & Albus’s Discussion

Albus Dumbledore lead his grandson, Lucas back to his office. He was determined to get the answers that Lucas was keeping from him. It bothered him that the young man was with holding information. And know the sorting hat had gone and announced the returning of the King of Magic.

“Alright Lucas, I’ve been very patient with you since your return. And know I feel as though you own me the answers to my questions.” Albus stated with cold eyes.

Lucas winced, he knew that his Grandfather had enough of him skirting around what he wanted to know. Damn you hat. I’ll get my revenge. He thought as he tried to look innocent.

“That look doesn’t work one me, my little Merlin. And you know it. It hasn’t work since you were five. So shall I repeat what I want to know?”

“No Grandfather, I’ll tell you everything. But please don’t interrupt, if you have questions will you wait until I’m done?” Lucas stated calmly as he stared at Albus, with eyes that shown with great power.

“I’ll reframe from any questions until your tale is done. Did you want your parents present for this?”

“No” snarled Lucas with anger as his aura spiked again.

“Calm my little Merlin. I meant not to upset you.”

“Sorry, my parents are just a sore spot still. I’m not sure I can ever forgive them. You understand right Grandfather? You’re not going to try and make me reconcile are you?” Lucas stated with a bit of coldness.

“No grandson, I will not get involved with the issues regarding your parents. Unless you ask that of me. I do understand some of your problems with them. But not all.” Smiled Albus with a slight twinkle in his eyes.

“Thank you Grandfather. Ok where to start, I guess at the my first year at Atrum Vita would be ideal. As you know I was only nine years of age when I started there. And that would have made me the youngest of them all.”

“The first several months I felt unwelcome. I mean being the only wizard among them. Well I excelled in all my classes and the Professor’s were very happy with me. I became known as the pet. There was a Master Vampire Ancient Ruins. I didn’t learn until later that he thought Blood Ruins to the older students. Anyway, Master Dameon started calling me his Little Pet Merlin and to my embarrasment it began to stick. And all the Professors started calling me Merlin.” Lucas stopped for a moment and conjured them some tea.

Taking a drink, Lucas smirked at his Grandfather before continuing.
“Well I didn’t understand the significant meaning until later. Which I’ll get to soon. I was in Charms one day and the wand I was using blew up in my hand and when it did the cores seemed to absorb into me. You know what my wand was made of, so I won’t get into that. I was then sent to the Infirmary and the Healer said that my power had gotten a boost and I would need to be careful. The Baskilisk venom and Ice Phoenix feather and blood of Fawkes didn’t even fight when in my blood stream.”

Albus was in shock, he couldn’t believe that his grandson’s wand was no longer with him. He had noticed that Lucas didn’t use one. But this reason was not even a thought to him.

“Just so you know Grandfather, I can’t use a wand or staff. I’ve tried both and they blow up every time. Anyway by the time the year was over Master Dameon had approached me and asked if I wanted special training in Ruins, something about I would need them. And I agreed, I loved the school by that time and I had a friend in Kale. And he was staying for the summer as well. So that was the beginning of my trip in the Forbidden Arts.” Lucas smiled wistfully as he remembered that summer of training.

“Are you ok so far Grandfather?” Lucas asked as he seen the pale face of the man before him. When Albus nodded Lucas decided to continue.

“My second year was a trip I tell you. I began in earnest with Blood Ruins and began taking the class on Parsel Magic. I figured if I could read and speak the language I may as well learn to fight with it. Any way the other classes were to boring to me as you had already trained me in those. So I began studying what I hadn’t been taught by you. And yes Parsel Magic is another of those Forbidden. I knew when I returned you’d want to break me of the habit. But Grandfather, I fear we’re going to need those Forbidden Arts to defeat old Voldie. Anyway at the end of that year I sat my OWLS and all Outstandings as you know.”

“Third year I was a main donor for Kale. And that is one of my glamours you were asking about when I returned. Also I had gotten close to Master Dameon as well as a few others. One of which was the Divination Professor. She told me that I was destined to build an army and stand beside the Lord of Light as the Child of Light & Shadows. At first I really didn’t understand, but later I did. My classes in Battle and Weapons became my main focas and with that I began learning Offensive Magic and the beginning of the Dark Arts. By the end of that year I sat my NEWTS in the main subjects of Charms, DADA, Transfiguration, History of Magic, Potions along with Ancient Ruins and Arithmacy. “ Lucas stopped and wondered if he should call it a night and begin another day. He could tell his Grandfather wanted to throw a fit already and he hadn’t even gotten to worst part.

“Should I continue or do you want to finish another night?” Lucas asked with a smile of innocents.

“No Lucas I want to know. That’s not right I need to know.” Albus stated with conviction.

“Ok, don’t say I didn’t try to give you an out. Fourth year, that was an experience I tell you. I continued to learn the Dark Arts as well as I began learning Shadow Magic. I didn’t know at the time that all descendants of Slytherin had the potential for this type of magic. As well as my Animagus training started. By the end of the year I mastered Shadow Magic and that is another glamour that I have. It’s of a crescent moon with shadows moving through it on my fore arm. Any way that was the end of fourth year and I spend my summer with the Royal Vampires and Kale. I didn’t know it at the time but I had begun to build my army.”

“Fifth year, I spend a lot of time with Raiden, he was of the Noble Elves and fourth in line for the throne. He taught me Elven Magic both Light and Dark. It was, no is beautiful and the feel of my Magic sings when I use it. Anyway I was working on that as well as getting ready to sit my Mastery in Potions. My wandless and soundless magic was above board by the end of the year and I gained my Mastery with the highest scored ever recorded.”

“Sixth year was about the same but I had begun to spend a lot of time with the Elves, Vampires and Veela as well as some of the Were groups. Trying to learn all I could of their magic and abilities. My studies in the Dark Arts was almost complete and my army was as well. That was when I began to really look around and see what I had done. And Grandfather, I admit that I was proud at my accomplishments and still am. By the end of the year I had finished my Animagus transformation into my Storm Phoenix. And I sat my Mastery in DADA. Before my summer was spent around everyone that I’d met and made friends with.”

“Seventh year was chaotic, but I managed with the over all study of everything I’d learned while there and finished my training in the Dark Arts. As well as being inducted into the Mage Counsel. And then when I graduated from Atrum Vita, I returned to you.”

“Grandfather I’ve already claimed my Merlin inheritance as well as I’ve been deemed worthy of the Slytherin and Ravenclaw’s as well. It’s coming time Grandfather that I must summon my army and together stand beside you and change the Magical World. But before I do that I must stake claim to Myrrdin’s Castle.” Lucas finished his tale and waited for his Grandfather’s fury. He was shocked when it didn’t come.

“I was afraid when you were sent away. That you would come back Dark. I’m sorry I miss judged you my grandson. My little Merlin, I must have misinterpreted the prophecy all those years ago. But I would be honored that you and your army stand beside me through what is to come. And I’ll help you find the Castle that you seek. But what do we do about Jamie Potter. You know that Voldemort has still went after him.” Albus reveled as he watched his grandson smile. A smile that would send many running in fear.

“I was out of his reach until now. So I’m pretty certain old Moldy Voldie will be after me, once he realizes that I’ve return to Britain and inside Hogwarts again.” Lucas grinned with conviction. “I so can’t wait to play.”

Albus was wide eyed at his grandson’s last statement. “Lucas, war is not a childs game. There will be no playing with your toys!” demanded Albus with an amused smile.

“But Grandfather, it’s so much fun to play with the Death Eater puppets. “ whined Lucas as he looked at his Grandfather with large innocent eyes.

Albus Dumbledore roared in laughter. It wasn’t long before Lucas did as well. They were going to have so much fun.
