The Change

By now you all know the drill. I don't own this fandom.

A/N: I am sorry it took me so long to update but as they say, all good things must come to an end.

Truthfully, I had hoped to write this story more but the more time I spent on it, the more I got burnt out. The muses left and decided not to return.

As of right now, I am amazed to tell you the truth. In the nine months this story has been online, I got a total of 12,128 hits and 174 reviews. Never in all my years of posting online have I had a story do this well. Even my other HP stories never did.

It is greatly appreciated and the outpouring of support I got when my father passed, helped me through the trying times. I appreciate the understanding and the time that the reviewers and readers gave me to get myself back together. My husband was even shocked at the amount of support that you all gave me during that time. So without further ado, I want to take the time to thank those who left reviews.

Chapter 19

Hermione was sitting outside of Malfoy Manor, watching the kids run around. One of the kids stood out, a girl that had frizzy dark hair, her eyes black as night. She was standing next to a boy with blonde hair and green eyes. Hermione looked back as she heard someone walking up.

"Hey, Madame Snape."

Hermione giggled and held out her hand, laughing when the man kissed it. "Well hello there, Sir Potter."


Harry sat down and looked out over the ten kids. Eight of them being his own, five sons and three daughters. The other two where Hermione's daughter and Ginny's daughter.

"How's Pansy?", Hermione questioned.

"Happy.", Harry said as he twisted his wedding band around his finger. "Tired but happy."

Hermione nodded. "Well?"

Harry rubbed the back of his neck. "A girl. Cissy said that the birth went fine and that Pansy needed some rest."

"A woman usually does after giving birth, Harry. So what's the verdict between this?", Hermione asked, waving her hand.

"I've decided to stop sleeping with the other females. Pansy is the love of my life but then you know I wouldn't have married her if she wasn't. I already talked to Tom and he agreed it was fine for me to stop. After all, I have fathered all these children plus my own in five years time. I see Sara has latched herself to Jacob again."

Hermione laughed. "I dare say those two might get married."

Harry groaned. "Don't tease me, Hermione. So how are you and Severus doing? I mean with the child planning?"


Hermione shrugged. "We want Sara to grow up with a brother or sister. The way I look at it is that if it happens, it happens. I'm just glad our children, won't have to go through what we did."

Harry nodded. "Me also. Do you ever regret your decision to be with Severus?"


"Never, Harry. I look at the whole situation in the bigger picture. It is thanks to Ronald that me and Severus got together. If he hadn't hit me that first night or even chased after me like he did, I would have missed out on everything. I wouldn't have Sara nor would I be as happy as I am now. "

Harry laughed and touched her shoulder. "Somehow I doubt that. Severus would have found his way to you sooner or later."


Hermione looked over to see Severus standing there with Lucius, him smiling at her. She turned to the kids. "Sara. It's time to go sweetie. You can come back tomorrow."

Sara nodded and ran over to her father, after telling everyone goodbye. With the promise of returning the next day, the Snape's apperated out , leaving Harry and Lucius to handle the children.

Later that night, Severus walked into the bedroom, shutting the door. "Sara is already sleeping."

Hermione met his eyes through her mirror as she brushed her hair to get ready for bed. "I would say so, she was worn out today."


Severus nodded and watched her climb into bed. He laid down beside her and took her in his arms. "Something on your mind, Love?"


Hermione smirked. "I was just thinking about how everything turned out."

Severus kissed the top of her head. "I guess that Weasley brat did something right for a change. But I think there is more."

Hermione nodded. "There is. I was also thinking of how Sara needs a baby brother or sister to play with and grow up with."

Severus nodded back to her. "We have discussed this. When it happens, it happens. Sooner or later, we will have another child."


Hermione reach over and took his hand, placing it on her stomach. "I think sooner is a better option."


Severus turned her over and looked down into her eyes. "Your pregnant?"

Hermione smiled gently at him. "Yes. Cissy did the test earlier while we were waiting on Pansy to fully dilate. So in about eight months, your new son or daughter will be here."

Severus hugged her tight and blinked back the tears. "You just make me happier and happier each day. I am so glad that you decided to make the change for us."

Hermione nodded. "Me also but Severus, you get to tell Sara."

Severus smiled and laid down, saying the spell to turn off the lights. " Maybe this time, it will be blue but I would be happy with pink."

Hermione chuckled as she snuggled down under the covers. "Just what you need, my husband. Another Slytherin Princess to spoil. I have a feeling this time it will be blue."

Severus kissed the top of her head and looked up at the ceiling, thanking whatever deity that was listening for bringing him Hermione, those years ago. His mind then switched to how he was going to tell Sara about Hermione being pregnant and that was his last thought before he went to sleep.
