Harry Potter And The Delinquient.

Author's Notes: This is it folks the final chapter of our story.


The tiger's thirst for revenge had been quenched but its thirst for blood had not. Following the path of carnage it slowly makes its way through the open passage leading to the Headmaster’s office. Inside he finds Cho cradling an unconscious Harry's head in her lap crying.

Professor Dumbledore is locked in a heated battle against Lord Voldermort and Sirius Black exchanging spells with Lucius Malfoy. The tiger looks at the young couple and notices the scorch marks on the girl's right shoulder. The boy's cheek sports a nasty gash and there is a trail of blood running out the corner of his mouth.

The tiger roars in rage as it recognizes its allies and turns towards those it knows to be enemies. Sirius is startled by the large animal's roar and gives Lucius the opening he needs to stun Harry's Godfather.

The victory is short lived however as the beast lounges at him fangs bared and claws out. The tiger's fangs latch on to Lucius' arm as teeth pierces flesh. A sickening crunch of bone and tearing of sinew can be heard over the sounds of battle as the force of the bite rips poor Lucius' arm from his body.

"FATHER..." Young Draco screams as he enters the office followed by Professor Snape.

The Potions Master begins hurling curse after curse at the tiger but the beast is too agile to be hit. Claws meet flesh as the mighty animal rips open a giant gash in the Professor's chest. Voldermort sees the large beast make short work of his Death Eaters and quickly retreats from the Headmaster's office.

With their Lord taken to wing the Death Eaters too take off running. In the Headmaster's office Snape uses what little strength he has to create a Portkey, which allows him, and both Malfoys to leave before the tiger can slake his thirst with their blood.

The animal stalks over to its wounded friends and nozzles the young woman's elbow to get her attention. Cho's eyes widen in fear as the beast begins to gently lick the wound on her boyfriends face. "Get way from him." She yells trying to shove him away.

"Let him be Miss Chang." Dumbledore says reviving Sirius. "Mr. Catiar is only trying to help Mr. Potter."

"Hunter?" Cho asks not believing what she heard. The tiger bows its head then resumes licking Harry's cheek. The gash begins to slowly heal with each pass of the rough tongue until it finally closes leaving behind a faint scar.

A frantic Carla races into the room. "Hunter, where’s Hunter?" The tiger turns to her and purrs softly. "Hunter, come quick." She cries pulling on the scruff of his neck. "Katie's been hurt." The tiger pulls away and lowers itself into a sitting position.

"I believe he wants you to get on his back." Dumbledore says as he and Sirius examine Harry. Carla nods and climbs on Hunter's back, holding on tightly to his fur as he stands up. She lays herself flat against his back gripping him tightly around the neck as her leg cling to his waist while he races back to where he left Katie.

"What was that thing?" Sirius asks Dumbledore as he kneels beside his Godson.

"That my dear Sirius is young Mr. Hunter Catiar's first change." The professor answers as he revives Harry. "Now I believe we should all help get the injured to the Hospital wing so that Madame Pomfrey may begin tending their wounds.


Hunter had reverted back to his human form by the time that they had arrived. The Hospital wing was full and there were still more wounded coming in. Most cases were minor; bumps, bruises, cuts and burns. They were tended to quickly and then sent back to their dorms. Others were not so fortunate.

Katie had been it with a combination Stunning charm and Cruciatus curse. Thankfully her injuries would heal fully with in a few days. The problem was that she was in so much pain she had to be sedated for the next 24 to 48 hours until the potions she had been given could do their job.

Another major casualty had been Billy Weasley. Fenrir Greyback had torn a three good size gashes in his face that would leave nasty scars. Thankfully Hunter had arrived just before Fenrir had been about to rip Billy's throat out. Though scared and touched by the wolf, Billy would live and all the Weasleys were grateful to Hunter for that.

For the next two days Hunter remained by Katie's side and refused to leave. The one and only time Madame Pomfrey had asked him to she had received a feral growl that only a Bastet could produce. Hunter refused to eat and seldom slept as he kept vigil over his girlfriend. The others would come in and check on them and Billy but would never pressed Hunter about his own health.

When Katie finally woke up Hunter greeted her with a warm smile and a loving kiss. They were soon mobbed by their friends and little sister and fussed over by Mrs. Weasley.

In the aftermath of the attack it was soon discovered that Professor Snape had orchestrated the attack by setting Portkeys to bring the Death Eaters in at various points through out the castle. The only thing he hadn't counted on was Hunter's first change occurring on the same night as the attack.

Harry and the others bravery in helping to fight off the attack, Cho and Carla's quick thinking at getting the other students to safety and calling for help had ensured minimal casualties. While Hunter's sudden change saw to it that the only fatalities were those of Lord Voldermort's followers.

For their aid they each received 50 House Points and were Awarded Medals for special service to the school and The Order of Merlin Third Class from the Minister of Magic. Hunter, on behalf of the others, informed Fudge where he could stick their Awards.

As the year came to an end Hunter and the others enjoyed their last remaining days together. Angelina, Alicia Fred, George and Lee were graduating from Hogwarts and going out into the world. They had of course decided to join the Order and help fight Voldermort.

Ron informed them that Billy and his girlfriend Fleur were getting married next summer and their brother Charlie was moving back home and how he had seen Charlie snogging Tonks yesterday. "Apparently they had a thing for each other when they were at school but they had both been too chicken to do anything about it till now." Ron said.

"Whose Tonks?" Hunter asked.

"She's an Auror and member of the Order." Ginny smiled. "She was with Katie when Carla and I found them."

"Oh that was Tonks." Hunter shrugged. "I didn't get her name." The others look at him like he had just grown a second head. "By the way," he said. "Anybody know who I ate?" He asked. "Cause I've had a bad case of indigestion all week."

Katie turns around and looks at him like his second head just sprouted a third. "You ATE somebody?"

"Some dude with a silver hand that turned himself into a rat." Hunter said. "Tasted a bit like chicken but with major heartburn afterwards."

Harry laughed at him "That would have been Peter Pettigrew." He said still laughing. "The slime ball would give anyone heartburn."

The all laugh and make plans to get together at Sirius' place over the summer but Hunter has to decline. "I'm going to stat with this Khan Dumbledore knows so I'm not going to be able to make it."

Katie looks at him like he just sprouted yet another head. "For how long?" She asked worried.

"Traditionally I would be gone for a year and a day." he said but stopped her from interrupting as he finished. "But since I don't have that kind of time and I already know most of what I need to know. I'll be back by start of term."

"You'd better," she told him.

"I will," he promised.

Author's Thanks: And it's finally over. Hunter's first year at Hogwarts is finished and his life as a Bastet has just begun. For Harry and his friends the war is just beginning and no one knows what the future holds for them.
