“Hermione, I really appreciate your help.”
“It’s no problem, Harry,” smiled Hermione. She handed him a bag filled with party favors and decorations.
“I mean it. I don’t think I could’ve done it without you.”
“Oh, Harry!” Hermione blushed, clutching her bag. “You’re sweet. I sometimes wonder why you chose Malfoy out of everyone at Auror Headquarters. Colin’s much nicer than Malfoy!”
“Don’t start this again, Hermione. You know that Draco makes me happy.”
“It’s just so odd to see you two romantically together,” she sighed. “Forgive me.”
“I will if you help me decorate our flat.”
Hermione snickered. “I can’t wait to see the look on Malfoy’s face when he comes home to his surprise birthday party.”
Harry smiled. “He thinks we forgot.”
“Goodness, he must’ve been grumpy today.”
“Grumpy is an understatement.”
At the flat, Harry and Hermione were busy putting up the decorations when the fireplace flared and out rolled an unexpected guest.
“Draco! What’re you doing home early?”
Draco stared, wide-eyed. Hermione was on a stool, pinning up a birthday banner and Harry had a half-inflated balloon in his hands that read Happy Birthday.
“Potter! I…”
“Happy birthday, Draco,” Harry smiled.

Thank you all! There will be other ficlet challenges later, but some might not be H/D. Gotta exercise my muse, ya know. :) And my Vampire fic is still coming along nicely! Look for that in the near future.
I MIGHT do five more ficlets to this, I don't know. But I will be posting the next word challenge very soon. thanks for replying!
