Chapter 20: First Death

Chapter 20: First Death

Amelia and Severus headed out to the forbidden forest after their dark marks had begun to sting. This had to be the next meeting the one that Amelia had been waiting for, the one that made her feel sick to the stomach.
Severus pulled out his port key and held it out. Amelia grabbed his hand and they both began to disappear. They appeared again at Slytherin mansion. Amelia looked around and saw no one else but them.
“There isn’t anyone here.” Amelia whispered.
“There will be.” Severus pulled down his mask. Amelia walked in to the house. Lucius came out from a hidden corner.
“Hello there.” Lucius smirked, he wasn’t wearing his mask.
“Go away Lucius.” Amelia continued walking. Severus followed her. Amelia walked in to the meeting room. “Father come here now. I would like to talk to you now.” Amelia shouted. Severus walked up to her.
“What are you doing?” Severus asked.
“I’m trying out my plan.” Amelia replied. Lucius looked mortified in the corner. Thinking that Amelia was going to tell her in to her father. A large puff of green smoke appeared. Severus and Lucius fell to their knees. Amelia looked down at Severus.
“What is it Amelia?” Voldemort asked, sounding agitated. Amelia pulled Severus up.
“I would like to ask you if it would be a problem for me to be with Severus?” Amelia asked. Voldemort thought for a moment. Lucius slowly stood up. Feeling ever so relieved that his name wasn’t mentioned in that sentience.
“Why Severus?” Voldemort looked at Severus.
“Because I love him.” Amelia smiled. Voldemort looked back and forth between them.
“Ah, but still Severus is a nothing, I do not understand why you, may child shall choose him.” Voldemort looked over at Severus. Lucius’ smirk grew from ear to ear. Amelia became angered and looked down at Severus, seeing him shake his head slightly.
“He is not a nothing. He is my everything!” Amelia proclaimed.
“You are very forward my dear. Very well, If my princess wants to be with Severus then that is what she shall get.” Voldemort ran his hand across Amelia’s cheek. “Severus are you willing to take on my daughter?” Lucius’ smirk disappeared.
“Yes, yes my lord.” Severus nodded.
“Good,” Voldemort turned to Amelia. “I am glad that you had decided to pick Severus he is in fact one of my finest men.” Severus looked up and Amelia raised her eyebrow.
“I have an eye for the good things.” Amelia smirked.
“Like your father.” Voldemort let out a cackle. Amelia’s smile faded. She wanted nothing to do with her father.
“Yes.” Amelia agreed dully.
“I shall be back.” Voldemort disappeared with a large puff of green smoke.
“See there we go. We can be together.” Amelia put her arms around Severus’ neck and kissed him.
“Yes.”
“Just don’t say anything about the baby. We’ll see what happens, let him find out by himself.” Amelia whispered, not wanting Lucius to hear.
“Of course.” Severus agreed.
“Well, well, well. Aren’t you just so lucky Severus?” Lucius stepped forward.
“Yes I am.” Severus retorted.
“Lucius quit while you are ahead.” Amelia insisted. Lucius stared at her oddly. “Shoo now.” Amelia motioned for Lucius to go away. Lucius turned away in anger. “Gosh that was extremely easy.” Amelia chuckled.
“I think Lucius Malfoy is scared.”
“Oh absolutely, all because of you.” Amelia kissed Severus’ cheek. Amelia saw a couple of death eaters walk in to the room. “Why do you all line up?” Amelia asked.
“I do not know. We were just made to line up.”
“I don’t want you to line up anymore.”
“Amelia I must.”
“No, you do what I say. I don’t want you to drop to your knees either.”
“You might be stretching it there a little Amelia.” Severus wasn’t to keen on Amelia’s ideas.
“Fine, you can be scared of him.” Amelia crossed her arms.
“Amelia don’t start another fight.” Severus whispered, watching as all the death eaters entered the room.
“I’m not.” Amelia dropped her arms down to her side. “You have to stay here by my side but you can go on to your knees like a pussy.”
“I assure you I am no pussy.” Severus growled.
“Ok then,” Amelia chuckled. The room began to fill out. “Another boring meeting. I bet you its something bad again.”
“Try not to think like that my dear.”
“Ok.” Amelia sighed. “Father should be here any moment now.” Just then a large snap sounded and green smoke appeared. Amelia looked down at Severus as he bent down. “Speak of the devil.”
Voldemort appeared and looked around at everyone. His dark red eyes scanning over the room and landed on Severus. He looked up to his daughter. Amelia looked at him and crossed her arms. Voldemort turned away from her, letting her go.
“Well come all for this great event.” Voldemort’s horse voice echoed. Amelia raised her eye brow. “You all may rise.” The followers rose to their feet. “Amelia my dear, come to me.” Voldemort put out his hand. Amelia walked forward and stood by her father. “I have gotten you a present.” Voldemort turned to a door on the other side of the room and saw an old peasant squib being dragged in to the room. “Thanks he’s beautiful.” Amelia said sarcastically.
“Yes.” Voldemort cackled. “You shall kill him.”
“What?” Amelia was shocked. She wasn’t going to kill someone.
“You shall do as I say, I need to know that you are not betraying me.” Voldemort whispered to her. Amelia turned to Severus. Severus looked back at her.
“I can’t kill someone.”
“Amelia do as the dark lord says.” Severus interrupted.
“Thank you Severus.”
“Um, ok.” Amelia reached behind her and pulled out her wand. She looked at the man as he cried and rocked back and forth, pleading not to be killed.
“That’s my girl.” Voldemort hissed happily. Amelia raised her wand to the man. She couldn’t do this, she didn’t want to kill someone. She watched the man plead with her. “If you do not do this I will kill you.” Voldemort whispered in her ear. Amelia froze. Now it was hard.
“Avada,” Amelia sighed.
“Come on girl, it isn’t that hard.” A death eater yelled.
“Avada Kedavara!” Amelia screamed, her eyes closed not wanting to watch the man die. A black light filled the room along with a piercing scream that came from the man. After a few seconds Amelia slowly opened her eyes and looked at the man. The death eaters erupted in to a bout of cheers. The man had turned a grey colour and it looked as though he had been sucked of his life.
“Good, good.” Voldemort hit Amelia’s back. Amelia felt horrible, she felt as though the life she had taken away from that man was taken away from her too.
“I’m going to go.” Amelia dropped her wand to the ground and walked out of the room.
“Go after her Severus.” Voldemort ordered. “Take her wand too.”
“Yes my lord.” Severus bent down picked up Amelia’s wand and followed her out of the room. He watched as Amelia ran out side. He put her wand in his pocket and ran after her. “AMELIA!” Severus yelled. Amelia kept running, tears pouring down her face. “Stop!” Severus ran up behind her and grabbed her arm.
“Severus I’m a murderer.” Amelia cried. “I killed someone.”
“I know, but you made a good choice.” Severus pulled Amelia in to a hug.
“No it wasn’t!” Amelia hit Severus’ chest. “I killed someone!” Amelia broke out in to a scream. Severus put his hand over Amelia’s mouth.
“Amelia, shh.” Severus held on to her. Amelia sobbed uncontrollably. “Come on.” Severus took out his portkey and held Amelia’s hand.
“What about the meeting?” Amelia sniffed.
“Its over for us, we can go.” Severus held the portkey and they both began to disappear. They then reappeared at the edge of the forbidden forest. Severus still held on to the crying Amelia.
“I want to sleep.”
“Alright, I’ll take you to my room.” Severus held Amelia’s hand and led her down to his quarters. “Amelia you can not be to rough on yourself.”
“Why not Severus I just kill a person?”
“Because you could make yourself sick.”
“I don’t care.” Amelia wiped her eyes.
“I do!” Severus opened the bedroom door. “Go and have a rest. I’ll see you later.”
“Alright, fine.” Amelia walked in to his bed room and sat on the edge of the bed. Severus turned around and left his office locking the door behind him.
