Title: Move heaven and earth~ part twenty one

Warnings and notes: This is a slash fic, which means that it involves two guys having strong feelings for one another (and sex). This is your only warning; so if you do not like reading about two men in love, then don’t read. Go read some other fic. Do not harass the author, please. And there is some strong language in here!

Note that this is the sequel to Protégé. Must read Protégé first before you read this so you can understand what’s going on.

More notes: Many things are going to happen in this sequel. So, if you don’t understand anything right away, just wait for it to be clarified later ok?

Special thanks goes to my lovely beta readers Brandy and Mori for correcting any kind of errors that I have overlooked.

Contents: This fic will contain A LOT of Slash, humor, sap, drama, angst, adventure (let’s hope), and lemon.

Pairings: Draco/Harry, Ron/Hermione, Remus/Sirius, Ginny/Cho

Rating: R. NC-17 over all

Year: 6th—winter

Disclaimer: I do NOT own any of these characters! J.K. Rowlings is the wonderful person who does, and I wish her luck with her next book.

The moment Draco walked into the room, he was in moran aan awe. The décor was a nice blend of red and green with gold and silver trim. There was only one bed in the corner, a big desk with two chairs, and a sofa on the other side of the room, a giant dresser, and a walk in closet. Draco also noticed that there was a bathroom on the opposite side of the room, and it was bigger than a Prefects bathroom.

“Nice, isn’t it?” Harry said, making Draco jump. Harry had been sitting on the four-poster, watching Draco take in the scenery before him.

Draco had finally closed his gaping mouth and then blinked at his boyfriend. “I’d say that it’s more than nice. It’s fucking perfect!”

Harry tutted, “Language, love.”

“Oh, please. I’m almost seventeen, I think I can say whatever the hell I want to say.” Draco drawled, and then he smiled. “Nice bed, though. Shall we try the springs out, just to make sure it’s sturdy enough?”

“Maybe later, Dragon. Right now we have homework, remember?”

Draco sighed, “Just had to burst my bubble. Okay, fine, we’ll do homework. Then we’ll shag.”

Harry shook his head. “You and your shagging.”

“What can I say? You’re shag-a-rific, lovey.”

“Only you would be thinking about shagging the night before Christmas.” Harry opened up his Transfiguration book. He grabbed his quill (still the one from Draco’s eagle owl) and started to write.

“Well, I don’t like having my halls decked with blue balls, if you know what I mean.”

“Shut up and do your homework.”

Draco smirked, “Yes, Mum.”

Harry rolled his eyes.

~*~

They finished with their homework a lot sooner than planned, and they soon found themselves underneath the silky red and green sheets. Harry was on top again, as he promised, letting Draco move him as fast or slow as he liked. Harry could tell that he held some kind of power over Draco like this, even though Draco had said that it felt more powerful being in control. Harry felt like he was conducting the whole thing, watching Draco becoming so wild and untamed when he was impaling him. Harry smiled wickedly, enjoying what he was doing to his Slytherin lover.

“You were. . . fucking perfect, Lion.” Draco panted.

Harry cuddled up to Draco, laying his head down on Draco’s shoulder. “I think you’re the perfect one, but who wants to argue right now?”

“Not I.” Draco smiled, “Perish the thought.”

Harry yawned and then snuggled up closer. “Let’s just get some sleep. It’s Christmas tomorrow, and I can’t wait to give you your gift.”

“You’re getting me a spanking stick, aren’t you? I mean, I’ve been such a bad boy. . .”

Harry moved up and pressed his lips to Draco’s. “Go to sleep, Draco.”

“What? You’re not even going to agree with me?”

“Go. To. Sleep.”

“No fun at all.”

“Good *Night*, Draco.”

Draco smiled.

They both fell asleep, happy and content.

Morning had finally come, and Harry had found out the hard way that Draco wasn’t a very nice morning person. He had stolen all the blankets, and even the pillows. How, Harry would never know.

After Harry finally got Draco out of bed (he pushed him off), they got dressed, and then made their way down to the Great Hall. Breakfast was about to start.

But what stunned them when they arrived was that the four tables were now two. The Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw tables have been merged together as one, with the Hufflepuffs sitting at one side, and the Ravenclaws on the other. Although a lot of them had no problems mingling together. Harry saw that Cho Chang was sitting over by Justin Finch-Fletchley, and Hannah was sitting near Terry Boot.

Then Harry and Draco directed their eyes toward the second table, preng tng themselves for a horrid scene.

The Gryffindor and Slytherin tables have been merged together as well. The Slytherins, however, didn’t seem as friendly as the other table though. They were making sure that they were sitting right next to each other, while the Gryffindors were trying to ignore the sneers and glares coming their way. On the very front end of the table, there were two empty seats. They had a feeling they were supposed to sit there. They would be the the middle division of the houses; the only two that aren’t afraid of sitting next to one another.

Harry sat himself down next to Ron, who was sitting by Hermione. Draco sat down on Harry’s other side, and on the other was Blaise, who had Millicent sitting by him. Blaise wasn’t looking as disgusted about the arrangement as the other Slytherins were.

“Isn’t this horrendous?” Ron muttered. “We have to share a table with the damn Slytherins!”

Draco leered at the redhead, who only glared right back.

“It’s not that bad,” Harry said, looking down at his empty plate. He wished that Dumbledore would hurry and make his speech already. He was starving.

“Well, easy for you to say! Your boyfriend is in Slytherin!” Ron scoffed.

“How do you think I feel?” Draco sneered. “I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to ever see your face while I was eating. Not that I have to look at you, but Harry is right here, and when I look at Harry I can’t help but see you sitting there, and that makes me lose my appetite.”

“Well same here.” Ron spat.

“Guys, please stop it.” Harry said, rubbing his temples. “I’m just very hungry and I want to eat. I don’t care who’s sitting where.”

Draco put his hand on Harry’s back and rubbed. “You ok, love? Did you sleep well?”

“Apart from you taking the blankets and hogging the bed, yeah, I’m peachy.”

Draco huffed, “Huh! Sorry I asked.”

They could hear Blaise snickering. “Trouble in paradise, Draco?”

“Stuff it, Zabini.” Draco growled. He was beginning to get even crankier. When was it time to eat?

Blaise continued to laugh. Millicent was looking at him like he had lost it.

Hermione was looking over and giving Zabini a warning glare. “Leave them alone, Zabini. They don’t need to be picked on right now. It’s Christmas for crying out loud!”

“You mean, Good Will toward men and all that crap?” Millicent said. “That is a real laugh. Today is just like any other day except you get gifts and eat a big dinner and sing stupid carols.”

Hermione’s glare intensified.

“Maybe it’s one of the reasons why Dumbledore put our tables together?” Harry said, looking from Draco and Zabini to Ron and Hermione. “I think he wants us to try gettinong ong for today, being that it’s Christmas.”

“Yeah, ‘try’ being the key word here, Harry.” Draco said. He picked up a fork and looked down longingly at his plate.

“I can do it if you can, Draco.” Blaise said. “Besides, we’re not their enemies. You-Know-Who is. And just because HE was in Slytherin, doesn’t mean that all Slytherins are evil. As far as I know, I’m not.”

“Neither am I.” Draco said. He looked over at Weasley who was trying to not look in their direction.

“Ier cer considered myself evil either.” Millicent said. She was frowning over at the teacher’s table, wondering why Dumbledore hadn’t spoken yet. “We’re just under-handed and sneaky. I happen to like being sneaky.”

Draco smiled. “It’s an excellent talent.”

Some of the other Slytherins that caught this conversation nodded in agreement. Many were even considering this whole ‘peace with the Gryffindors’ thing.

“Is this going to be another ‘truce’ or something?” Ron said.

Hermione smiled, and so did Dean, Seamus, Neville, and Ginny.

“Hopefully.”

Dumbledore finally rose from his seat. Everyone stopped talking immediately, eager to hear what the Headmaster was about to say so they could get on with eating.

“I’m sorry to keep you all waiting and I know that you’re hungry, but I’d been waiting for some news, and now that I got it we can begin with this morning’s meal. However, I must inform you all on why the tables have been put together.

“As you all know, it is the day of peace and happiness around the entireld, ld, and I am sure that some of you have figured out that because of it being Christmas that that is why I did this. That’s only half the reason why. I was enjoying watching the Gryffindors and Slytherins talk and work things out, even though they were arguing as well, but Professor Snape and myself were making sure that nothing would get out of hand.

“Now, the other reason, however, is a more personal matter. Not for myself, but for a couple of students who happen to be very close to one another, and who happen to have powerful feelings toward each other. I am talking about, of course, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. Because they belong to two different houses, and wouldn’t be able to sit by one another otherwise, I have figured out a way to make it so they could. So there you have it. Enjoy your meals, everyone. And remember to keep that communication up. Good will toward all wizards and witches of all houses.”

Dumbledore clapped his hands, and the food appeared. With smiles on their faces, they all began to eat. The Slytherins stopped their glaring, the Gryffindors stopped their complaining, and they all talked on peacefully.

~*~

It was as if the world was coming to an end. For the remainder of the day, the Gryffindors and the Slytherins were getting along. Usually around this time, many would go home for the holidays, but when Dumbledore mentioned that there was going to be a party, yoneyone decided that staying at Hogwarts would be a nice idea. Only a few students (including Pansy) decided otherwise and went home for the holidays. There was a rumor going around that Pansy was gone for good, and that she won’t be coming back to Hogwarts for next year. Draco could only hope.

There were no classes either, and the students were able to walk around and go wherever they pleased. Even the paintings and other things were told to let anyone in without a password. So then, Ravenclaws could freely go into a Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, or Slytherin common room, and vice versa for every other house. Draco was easily able to follow Harry and his friends into the Gryffindor common room, since that was where the main hang out place was, that was where they wanted to go. Even Blaise followed them in.

“Wow. The Gryffindor common room is rather cozy.” Blaise said. They sat themselves by the fireplace, all facing each other.

Draco couldn’t believe this was really happening. He and Blaise were getting along admirably with the other Gryffindors. They all saw that Cho was in here as well, with Ginny, and also Terry Boot. They looked very close as they chatted and drank some Butterbeer. Draco was even surprised to see Ernie Macmillan here, chatting away with Parvarti.

Harry leaned his head down on Draco’s shoulder, getting many in the common room to awe at the sight. Draco put an arm around Harry’s shoulders and pulled him closer. In turn, Harry put an arm around Draco.

“Aww, lookit the cute couple!” Seamus said, snickering. Dean nodded in agreement, smiling at the two.

Draco waved a hand, “Yeah, yeah, don’t you two have something more important to do other than watch us? Like shagging in a closet or something? Or maybe even on Professor McGonagall’s desk?”

Seamus and Dean burst out laughing. “You’re a real riot, Malfoy!”

“Gee, thanks.” Draco sighed.

“Don’t let them get to you, Dragon.” Harry said, and then he leaned over to give his boyfriend a kiss on the cheek. Draco turned bright red, especially when everyone started to crow.

“Colin!” Dean called out, “Get your camera!!”

“No, that’s ok, Dean.” Harry said, blushing.

Colin showed up, however, camera in hand. “What is it?”

“Take a picture of the two who have started the lovely truce between houses this holiday season!” Seamus pointed down at Harry and Draco, who were still in their one arm embrace and their bodies were deadly close to one another’s.

“If you do,” Harry said, looking at Colin and then over at his friends, “Then you have to include Hermione and Ron too.”

Ron was frowning only a little, but he was glad that his best friend didn’t forget about him.

“Great idea, Harry!” Hermione said, beaming.

“Then we need to include Blaise too,” Draco said.

“Okay. It’s a deal.” Harry said. The five of them got up and posed in front of the fireplace. Harry and Draco were in front, arms around each other’s waist, bodies close together. Blaise was standing next to Draco, hand on his shoulder. Ron was standing next to Harry, body half hidden behind Harry’s, and Hermione was next to Ron, leaning up against him, with one of his arms slung around her shoulder. And they were all smiling.

“Perfect!” Colin beamed, “Hold that pose!”

The picture was taken.

As were many others.

~*~

Before they all knew it, it was time for the Christmas dinner. Instead of being a bunch of grumps t tht the tables being merged together, they were all smiling and laughing whole-heartedly. Many of them were congratulating Harry and Draco for getting together and giving them a day to forgive and forget. What was really scary was that Harry wasn’t sure if things could go back to normal after this day. The two houses might have actually gotten rid of the rivalry.

“Finnigan!!”

Or maybe not.

Seamus shot his head up at the mention of his name and saw Morag MacDougal walking toward him.

“Yes, Morag, love?” Seamus said with as little sarcasm as he could.

“Care to explain why you thought it was funny to tell the Slytherin House this afternoon that I secretly liked to be tied up and gagged for any special occasion?”

“Um, well, I thought you did. . .”

“No, I do not!” Morag sneered. “I thought there was a truce going on between our houses and here I find you speaking lies about me to my housemates! How would you feel if I told your housemates about how much of a slut you were and that you had a go with Professor Snape?”

“I never had a GO with any Professor!” Seamus shouted.

“Oh really? Millicent said that you had these kind of fantasies that involved Snape, two other students, and lime Jell-O.”

There was a collective gasp around the table.

“I said no such thing! I may be a bit of a . . . nymphomaniac, but I never did anything of that sort!”

Dean placed a hand on Seamus’ shoulder, “Don’t let this Slytherin get to you, love. Remember the truce.”

“He started it though!” Morag said with a huff.

The other Gryffindors joined in the fight, trying to defend Seamus, and some of the other Slytherins were calling the Gryffindors hypocrites.

“Everyone, quiet down!” Professor McGonagall shouted. She tapped the side of her glass to emphasis. “Settle down now!”

The two houses finally began to settle themselves with just glaring. Harry and Draco were still sitting in the middle of the whole thing, not saying a word. Draco sighed heavily and sank down in his chair, and Harry was trying to finish eating.

Dumbledore stood up, “It’s almost time for the present exchange. Let’s all try to get along for the rest of the day now. And Mr. Finnigan, I will see you in my office after your finished eating.”

Everyone went back to his or her meals. Poor Seamus was looking like he wasn’t being treated fairly, and Dean tried his best to comfort him.

“So much for the truce, eh?” Draco said. He poked a spoon at his Christmas pudding.

“Oh, I think that the truce is still on. We all just need to learn how to communicate, that’s all.” Harry said. He took a bite of his potatoes. Draco watched him in the corner of his eye, and then smiled when he caught Harry’s gaze.

“You know how I like my potatoes?” Draco smirked.

“Shh!” Harry said when he noticed that Dean, us aus and Ron were looking at them funny.

Ron shrugged his shoulders and then went back to eating.

~*~

The time for the gift exchange was finally here. The only one missing out was Seamus, because he was called up to the Headmaster’s office. Harry said that he was sure that Seamus would be back after he had talked to Dumbledore. The others hoped so, seeing as they all got him something.

There was no set way to do the exchanging. Everyone seemed to want Haro hao have his gifts first, as they all began to pile presents onto his lap. He even received a few owls from those who weren’t there for the party. Harry got gifts from Hermione, Ron, Ron’s parents, the Weasley twins, Percy, Neville, Hagrid, Seamus & Dean, Draco, Ginny & Cho, and surprisingly Dobby & Keiwi. He also got a secret gift from Sirius and Lupin. It didn’t have their names on it, but he could tell it was from them. They’re the only other ones that would sign their card with paw prints.

Cho and Ginny came over to Harry with their gift, smiles on their faces. Cho handed the gift to Harry, and Harry blushed brightly. Draco noticed this and elbowed him in the ribs. Harry grinned sheepishly and apologized.

He got broom polish and, surprisingly, lubrication from them. Harry couldn’t stop blushing when he realized what Wizzie-glide was.

“Thought you could use it.” Cho winked. Ginny giggled.

“Yeah, cause we don’t need it.”

Cho smacked Ginny on the arm. “Shush!” But Cho was blushing.

Draco couldn’t stop grinning. Harry noticed this and he sighed in defeat. It would be a while before HE got to be Top.

After Harry had opened the presents from everyone else, he finally got to Draco’s present.

“I had no idea what to get you. I was going to get you a ton of presents, but I decided to wait until next year to do that.”

Harry shook his head, “You don’t need to get me a whole bunch of presents. One a year is finef yof you wasted all of your ideas for one year, then what would you get me for the other years?”

Draco shrugged, “Um, I’m sure I’d think of something.”

“Well, don’t. One is enough. I wouldn’t mind if you didn’t get me anything at all either. You’re the best gift I can have.”

“Oh stop with the mushy stuff, Potter, and open my gift!” Draco blushed.

Harry smiled and began to rip the paper off of the package. Everyone gathered around them to see what Draco had given Harry. When Harry gasped and then held it up for all to see, Draco went pink.

“I feel so stupid,” Draco said, “I really couldn’t think of anything else to get you.”

“I like it!” Harry smiled. It was an orange and brown t-shirt with a picture of a lion on the front. In the background was a lion’s head, and in the corner was another smaller lion. [1] “It even goes with my robes!” Harry threw his arms around Draco’s neck and hugged him lovingly. “Thank you, Draco!”

“Y-you’re welcome, Harry.” Draco smiled. Everyone around them clapped. When Harry finally let go of him, Draco looked at Harry through his lashes. “So where’s my present?”

“You’ll get yours later.” Harry winked. “without an audience.”

“Oh? Is it really that naughty?”

“No, but it’s sappy.”

“Okay, show me later.” Draco said quickly.

Harry smirked.

The gift giving continued.

Cho and Ginny even got presents from them. Justin Finch-Fletchley got Cho something, and so did Terry Boot. What really shocked everyone was that Harry got Cho a gift as well. With a small tint in his cheeks, Harry handed the small box to Cho, who took it with equally tinted cheeks.

“Thank you, Harry.” Cho smiled. She opened it and inside was a Snitch necklace. There was even a button underneath the little golden ball that when you pressed it, the ball would sprout little wings and hover in the air for a while. Harry helped her latch it around her neck. “Oh, gosh, I don’t know what to say. It’s so cute!” Cho pushed the little button under the golden ball and watched it float up to chin-level. It’s little wings were going like a hummingbird’s. “I love it, Harry! Thank you!” She hugged him.

Harry turned bright pink. “You’re welcome.”

There was a small cough behind them. Harry quickly let go of Cho aurneurned to give his boyfriend a weak smile. Draco had his arms crossed and was tapping a foot on the floor.

“Lion. . .” He said through his clenched teeth, but his eyes were holding the jealousy.

“I had to get her something, I mean. . . I had it bought way before we were serious. . .” Harry averted his eyes from Draco’s. “She did get us something, didn’t she? I mean, your gift is a lot nicer, I think. . .” Harry looked up and saw that the scowl had left Draco’s face. He walked over carefully to the Slytherin and then wrapped his arms around him. “Don’t be angry, please? It was just a present. You know you’re my one and only, Dragon.”

Draco relaxed into Harry’s embrace. “I know, I’m sorry. I was being stupid and letting myself get jealous.”

“I understand. I suppose I would feel the same if you ever gave Pansy a present.”

“But I didn’t get her anything. The stupid bint deserves nothing.”

“Yeah, she’s someone that doesn’t, but I think Cho does. She’s been so understanding and nice. . .” “Oka“Okay, okay, I understand already, Harry.” They moved forward at the same time, lightly touching their lips together. There was a chorus of ‘aws’ behind them, but they paid them no heed.

“I want my present,” Draco said in a demanding voice, “right now.”

“You’ll get it. Come with me,” Harry took his hand and led him up to their room. Cheers and whistles followed them as they began to make their way up the stairs.

“Wait!” someone cried out. Harry and Draco both halted. They turned around to see an angry looking Blaise. “We haven’t given you your presents yet, Draco.”

“That’s all right.” Draco said, “I’ll open them later. . . in a little bit.”

Blaise’s face fell. “Ok. They’ll be by the tree.”

Draco nodded, and then proceeded to follow his boyfriend up to their room. He couldn’t wait to see what Harry got him.
