Triple Bond: HP Universe

CHAPTER 2
The rest of the train ride was uneventful, Corvo and Herm continuing to debate, Ron sleeping, and Harry filling me in about the War and the teachers.
“Hagrid is the Magical Creatures professor. He’s half giant, half human and all nice. If you’re lucky, you might get to ride a hippogriff.” Harry said enthusiastically. “Professor Snape teaches potions and is very strict. He enjoys taking points from Gryffindor’s. He’s head of Slytherin house. McGonaggal is head of Gryffindor’s and taches Transfiguration. The headmaster is Albus Dumbledore, you’ll meet him at the housing ceremony.” He continued while I attempted to absorb all the new information.
Before we knew it, the train was pulling up to the platforms. We stepped out and I put Hidan on my shoulder and Corvo did the same with his falcon. We don’t like to put them in cages unless necessary. I placed Hidan on my suitcase and instructed him to follow it to my room when lodgings were decided. We boarded a carriage that appeared to be pulled by a skeletal horse. I stared at it, puzzled.
“It’s a threastle.” A sot voice behind me said while I pet the creature. I turned around to see a short girl with platinum blonde hair. “I’m Luna Lovegood, Ravenclaw. Same year as you.” She looked closely at my head. “That’s strange, you’re the first person I’ve met whose head isn’t filled with nargles.” She flounced over to the carriage and I shrugged the odd encounter off.
Sometime later, we entered the get hall and sat with the first years’ for the sorting ceremony. When that was done, Dumbledore spoke “It has come to my attention that we have two new students who are not first years. Please come forward to be sorted into your respective houses.”
My brother and I walked up nervously. Well, me nervously. Corvo sat and the hat was placed. “Hmmmm” the hat murmured. “Not too difficult. Strong, brave and smart. Gryffindor!” Corvo grinned and went to sit down with the others as I took his place. I felt the sorting hat placed on my head and waited anxiously. My anxiety only worsened when it finally spoke. “Dumbledore” the hat called “for the first time in 2000 years, I don’t know where to place a student!” the entire hall gasped “She’s intelligent. Brave and kind like a Gryffindor, but is a good liar and can be sneaky and conniving like a Slytherin. Neither side dominates so where do I put her?!?!?” the hat screeched while the entire student bod gaped at me.
I wanted to crawl under a rock and die. I hate being singled out!
“I want you to come with me to my office Ms. Darkwater and bring the sorting hat.” Dumbledore said. “And I want the heads of Gryffindor and Slytherin to come as well with a student representative of their choice.” Dumbledore guided me out of the hall with a hand on my shoulder before I could see who was chosen.
‘Great’ I thought ‘What did I get myself into this time’ I sighed and let Dumbledore escort me to his offices.
