What You Want
Chapter 2
“Harry, do think he will help?”
“He ought to. If it weren’t for Snape…”
“Severus.”
“Severus. He and his son might be in Azkaban or worse.”
“Severus doesn’t want to ask, and I don’t know if I can get away with it either.”
“Don’t worry. I will.”
“Thank you so much, Harry. I miss you so much.”
“And I you, Hermione. It’s just that staying put doesn’t suit me, and England and Scotland have too many bad memories for me now. Travelling for the Ministry suits me fine.”
“I understand. I do. Let me know something, will you?”
“I will. And Hermione?”
“Yes?”
“Send my regards to Severus. I-no, we all owe him so much, and he does not take thanks well.”
“I know.”
“Just let him know I am thinking of him.”
“I will. I just wish-“
“What?”
“Sometimes I wish things had been different. That he hadn’t done the things he did. That he had made some different choices.”
“Well, you can’t always get what you want.”
