Innocence Grown *COMPLETE*

Lidia walked in to her first class which was her Government and Leadership class. She took a seat in the front row and pulled out her notebook while the room slowly filled up, someone sat down next to her and she looked over surprised to find the familiar platinum blond sitting near her. Scorpius didn’t say anything to her just pulled out his books and pen while waiting for the professor to enter the room and begin the first lesson.

“You’re Lidia Granger, right?” Asked a handsome boy with bright blue eyes and reddish hair, he had a girl handing on to him like if she let go she may float away “Daughter of Loki, the god of mischief?”

“Y-yes” She answered surprised that someone knew her history here.

“Oh” He said and leaned in “Your father deserves to be killed for what he did”

“What do you mean?” She asked though she knew.

“He killed so many people” He said “Your just like him I’m sure, here in a government and leadership class you’re a looney, psycho bitch...”

“Leave her alone” Scorpius snapped.

“Have a guard dog?” He asked “How sweet”

“Go away” He hissed.

“And who are you to make me?” The boy asked.

“Scorpius Malfoy” He answered and Lidia saw the boy’s face pale considerably.

“O-of course” He said “I’m sorry”

“What was that all about?” Lidia asked Scorpius “When do you have pull in America?”

“Since my father taught me who the death eater turncoats were” He answered “When Voldemort fell and even before then people were running and it was common knowledge that the most faithful would hunt them down no matter what or how long it’s been since his fall”

“He is a death eater?” Lidia asked.

“Not him, dip-shit” He rolled his eyes “But his daddy was when he was a teenager and his granddaddy was as well and they ran...that little fucker will be walking on thin-ice around me”

Before Lidia was able to thank him for his intervention with that rather sticky situation, the professor walked in to the room with his books and a smile. He was a short man with greying hair and merry brown eyes that seemed to take in to everything all at once. His eyes landed on Lidia and his smile got bigger and if possible he looked happier to see her sitting there. He waved his wand at the blackboard and notes appeared there and then he turned back to them again before nodding at them.

“My name is Professor Breener” He introduced “You can call me Professor B. In this classroom in your first year for both semesters I will teach you different forms of government along with different branches in not just the wizarding world but the muggle one as well” He smiled “In this year we will touch upon the reasons that different governments fell and how it could have gone differently”

“Are you sure all the students are safe to be in here?” The boy who had harassed Lidia asked “They may, you know, take it too far”

“Anyone can take it too far” He agreed “But you never know who will and won’t” He gave him a knowing stare “You are referring to Miss. Granger I assume but how do I know that you won’t take this information too far” He smirked and Lidia’s face flamed red “We trust and in this class if I see you singling her out for any reason you will be kicked out with no possibility to come back”

“Yes, sir” His face turned red.

“Excuse me, sir” A girl with bright red hair asked while raising her hand.

“Yes, Miss...” He led.

“Farren, Sir” She answered “Lanni Farren”

“Okay Lanni” He said “What is your question?”

“Why would Miss. Granger be the one to use this information for bad things?” She asked “Why not me or someone else, why would he be talking about her?”

“Oh” He said “Someone who does not know” He looked at Lidia “Do you mind if I tell them who your father is?” She shook her head.

“Of course not” She answered with a sigh, she knew that coming to America would have its draw backs and this was one of them.

“Lidia Granger is what is known as a Demi-Goddess” He told them “She is the daughter of Loki, the God of Mischief he is the same god that attacked New York a little over twenty years ago”

Everyone must have known about what had happened because those who didn’t look at her like she was holding a gun looked at her like they were wishing they were. Scorpius smirked at her and went back to writing the notes down and when everyone was done talking about her father and the horrors he brought to their lands they too took notes. When the class was let out Lidia was barely holding on to the tears that were threatening to fall, her hands shook with the suppressed emotions that she had been holding since the conversation about her father. If they knew the man that had raised her, the man who had played hide and seek with her, who soothed her cuts, bruises and broken bones, the man that had soothed her broken heart when Kale hurt her. If they knew that man they would have been jealous because he was a better man and father than anyone else. But they were unable to see past his mistakes just like all those in Asguard they saw the bad and never the good though it’s there. She raised her eyes to Scorpius and found him watching her, he didn’t look happy or indifferent, in fact he looked almost sad. She couldn’t take it anymore she turned and almost ran from the room nearly plowing the Professor over as he tried to talk to her.

“Is she okay?” Professor B. Asked Scorpius as the young man gathered the rest of Lidia’s stuff and made his way towards the door.

“No” He snapped “The class just degraded a man that has been nothing but amazing in her eyes and you did nothing to stop it”

“She said it was okay that...” He started and Scorpius stopped and glared at him.

“That you told the class who he was and maybe what he did” The blond snarled “Not that you allow them to bad mouth him and talk about what a murderous jerk he was, that is not the man that raised her”

“Why do you defend her?” Professor B. asked when he was nearly out the door “I saw your file and according to it, you and Miss Granger never got along”

“I respect her” He answered “She had been a bitch my entire life but it’s more like a game at this point...she’s kind of like my friend”

Lidia slammed the door shut as she entered her dorm room and threw her bag on to her bed. She stood there looking around the room not noticing the startled Natasha who had nearly had a heart attack when she entered. She gave a nod and then went to the closet grabbing out a bag and starting to throw some clothes in to it. She was now openly crying but she was also saying a few swears that she knew at the bastards who spoke ill of her father. She turned quickly and found herself face to face with a confused and concerned Natasha.

“What is wrong?” She asked “Why are you packing?”

“I’m leaving” Lidia said “I’m going home”

“Why?” Natasha asked “You’ve not had sex with all the male dorm mates”

“That wasn’t my wish” Lidia told her with a small smile “It was yours”

“Oh yeah” She smiled “I forgot” She grinned “You have to stay so I can tell you all about each guy”

“I can’t” She told her with fresh tears in her eyes.

“Tell me what happened” Natasha pressed.

“I just sat through nearly two hours of people bad mouthing my father” Lidia said “They keep making comments about me going to be a murderer and how he was...I miss my family and my friends, I miss my life”

“Oh come on” Her roommate said “Your family is a letter away, you’ve got friends here and the bad mouthing...they are beneath you” She smiled “You are a Demi-Goddess and what are they...a bunch of jealous assholes that are going to try to bring you down, don’t let them”

“I guess” Lidia said, there was a knock on their door and then it opened and Scorpius stood there holding up her notes “Thank you” He started to walk away “Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to join me, Natasha and Remus on this group thing that the campus has”

“What is it?” He asked.

“Paranormal Investigation” She answered “Looking for muggle ghosts”

“Sounds dumb” He answered

“It would look good on the German college application for next year or the year after” She reminded him “It shows that you are actually trying”

“When does it meet?” He asked.

“Tonight at eight” Natasha said “You in?”

“Sure” He answered “What else will I be doing?”

A/N: So it looks like there may be a friendship forming. Scorpius doesn’t hate her exactly and Natasha has her uses, Remus will be in the next chapter. PLEASE REVIEW!!!!
