Chapter Two: A Sister’s Heart, A Slytherin’s Revenge
Victoria: I was having trouble with Alexis, so Emily (my friend who made the character) Rp’ed some scenes with me while playing her. I like the way things progressed. Some of this chapter is the rp re-written into story format.
Kathryn: And where was I during this?
Victoria: Half way through a bottle of vodka…
Kathryn: Oh, yeah, that’s right!
Victoria: *Rolls eyes*

“Beds empty!” Mrs. Weasley yelled, her hands on her hips as she stared at her three son, who had just entered the burrow trying to not make a sound,
“No note!” Alexis growled. Her hands were also on her hips and she tapped her foot, glaring at the twins who had left her behind. They hadn’t even told her that Harry was in trouble.
The mother ignored Alexis as she scolded her children, who were slightly quivering in fear at her rage. “Car gone — could have crashed — out of my mind with worry —”
Alexis nodded in agreement, then growled out. “Do you care!? No, never, as long as I lived have I not been involved in something like this!”
“You wait until your father gets home, we never had trouble like this from Bill or Charlie or Percy —”
“Perfect Percy,” muttered Fred.
“YOU COULD DO WITH TAKING A LEAF OUT OF PERCY’S BOOK!” yelled Mrs. Weasley, prodding a finger in Fred’s chest.
Alexis paused for a moment, “Now, that may be taking it a bit far, Mrs. Weasley.”
The girl regretted her words as Molly rounded on her. “A bit far! And you mean to tell me you had nothing to do with this!?”
The young girl pouted and crossed her arms, glaring at the twins. “I wasn’t invited! And I have no idea why! I thought we do everything together!?”
The twins gave her an astonished look. “You’ve got to be kidding, right?” Fred asked with wide eyes. “After all the pranks you’ve been pulling on us!”
The girl rolled her eyes, “Name one evil prank I’ve pulled.”
The twins exchanged a look, “You put garden gnomes in our beds!” Fred cried.
“You gave us magical tattoo’s of the Slytherin emblem on our backs!” George added.
Fred nodded and said, “Which didn’t go away for weeks!”
“You stole all our clothes and hid them in the pantry!” George crossed his arms over his chest.
His twin paused. “She didn’t steal my clothes…” He then shook his head, “You slipped me a potion that turned my feet pink with poke-a-dots!”
George, who was a bit pink in the cheeks, growled, “You exchanged my shampoo for a potion that turned my hair green.”
Mrs. Weasley’s eyes grew bigger and bigger as the twins kept going through the list of all the pranks Alexis had been pulling. The list went on and on and finally Molly interrupted by tuning towards Alexis once more, “You’ve been torturing my boys!?”
Fred suddenly yawns and said, “Well I’m exhausted. Think I’ll just go to bed now…”
Molly rounded on him. “Oh, no you don’t! The four of you will be de-gnoming the yard! It’s your own fault that you’ve been up all night! I don’t want to hear it, George!” She added as George opened his mouth to protest.
Alexis gave her a puppy dog look, “But, I haven’t done anything wrong!”
Mrs. Weasley gave the girl a hard look. “Oh yes you have young lady. I will not tolerate such actions under my roof!” She then turned to Harry, who was standing in the door way, debated whether or not to make a run for it. “Now, I don’t blame you harry my dear, no you didn’t ask them to do it! Arthur and I have been worried about you, too. Just last night we were saying we’d come and get you ourselves if you hadn’t written back to Ron by Friday. Now,” she started to head toward the kitchen, “You must be hungry, deary. Come on and have a bite.”
There was a squeal and Harry saw a girl with red hair wearing a nightgown run up the stairs. Ron explained, “My sister Ginny. She’s been talking about you non-stop. She’ll be wanting your autograph, no doubt.”
Molly rambled on and on about how upset she was, and how happy Harry was there. The five at in silence together, exchanging looks with one an another, before finally Molly suggested, “Now Harry, why don’t you go on up to bed then. You must be exhausted.
The strange thing was, he wasn’t at all exhausted. “If I may, I would rather help de-gnome the yard. I’ve never seen a gnome before.”
“That’s very sweet of you, dear, but it’s dull work,” Mrs. Weasley said with a smile. “Now, let’s see what Lockhart’s got to say on the subject —” And she pulled a heavy book from the stack on the mantelpiece.
George groaned. “Mum, we know how to de-gnome a garden —”
Harry looked at the cover of Mrs. Weasley’s book. Written across it in fancy gold letters were the words Gilderoy Lockhart’s Guide to Household Pests. There was a big photograph on the front of a very good-looking wizard with wavy blond hair and bright blue eyes. As always in the wizarding world, the photograph was moving; the wizard, who Harry supposed was Gilderoy Lockhart, kept winking cheekily up at them all. Mrs. Weasley beamed down at him. “Oh, he is marvelous,” she said. “He knows his household pests, all right, it’s a wonderful book. . . .”
“Mrs. Weasley fancies him,” Alexis whispered with a giggle, earning her a glare from the woman.
“Don’t be so ridiculous, Alexis!” Molly’s cheeks were rather pink as she spoke, however. “All right, if you think you know better than Lockhart, you can go and get on with it, and woe betide you if there’s a single gnome in that garden when I come out to inspect it.”
Yawning and grumbling, the Weasleys slouched outside with Harry behind them. The garden was large, and in Harry’s eyes, exactly what a garden should be. The Dursleys wouldn’t have liked it — there were plenty of weeds, and the grass needed cutting — but there were gnarled trees all around the walls, plants Harry had never seen spilling from every flower bed, and a big green pond full of frogs. “Muggles have garden gnomes, too, you know,” Harry told Ron as they crossed the lawn.
“Yeah, I’ve seen those things they think are gnomes,” said Ron, bent double with his head in a peony bush, “like fat little Santa Clauses with fishing rods. . . .” There was a violent scuffling noise, the peony bush shuddered, and Ron straightened up. “This is a gnome,” he said grimly.
“Gerroff me! Gerroff me!” The creature cried, struggling in the boy’s grasp. The creature was small with a big hairless head and resembled a potato with arms and legs.
Ron was holding the thing far enough away that it’s kicking did not reach his body. Ron then grabbed it’s ankles and turned it upside down. “You have to do this,” He spoke as he started to swirl the thing over his head in circles. When Harry’s eyes widened in horror, Ron added quickly, “It won’t hurt him. It’s just make him a bit dizzy…that way he can’t make it back to his gnomehole!” The boy suddenly released the gnome and Harry watched as it flew about 20 feet and landed with a thud in a field over the hedge.
Fred shook his head, making a ‘tsk’ing sound. “Pitiful. I bet I can get mine beyond that stump.” He said, pointing at a stump at least 40 feet away.
Alexis mocked Fred, a gnome twirling over her head, by ‘tsk’ing at him. “Pitiful. I bet I can get mine…right…there!” She suddenly let go of the creature and it sailed into Fred, knocking him over with an ‘oomph’. Alexis doubled over with laughter, and Harry found it hard to not snicker.
Soon a war had broken out between Alexis, Harry, and the Weasley boys with the first two on one team, and the red hairs trying to defend themselves. Gnomes were flying everywhere and Harry found he had a hard time trying to dodge them. One caught him in the gut, but it didn’t hurt too terrible bad. Soon, their fun was over and he found himself laying in the too long grass panting next to his best fiend Ron.
“You get to do this every week?” Harry asked in between his pants, astonished and overwhelmed with joy.
Ron nodded, also laying in the grass and huffing, “Yeah, but it’s never been this much fun before,” He said, giving Harry a smile. “This place isn’t much, but it’s home.”
Harry shook his head, looking at the bight, blue, cloudless sky. “Your wrong. This place is perfect.”
“Perfect!? How can it be perfect without us!?” Everyone turned to see Myou and Ami standing by the back door.
“Myou! Ami!” Harry called excitedly. He fumbled trying to stand and ran over to the girls. “When did you get here?” He asked as he hugged Myou.
“Just now.” Ami answered. When Harry went to hug her as well, she flinched away. “You’re covered in sweat!” She lied with a fake chuckle. She pulled her sister’s sleeve and said, “I’m going to go read.”
Myou looked hurt as she watched her sister go and sighed, depressed. She wanted desperately to find out what was wrong with the eldest Belfair child, and she was determined to do so as soon as she possibly could.
~ ^ ~ ^ ~
Alexis was not at all pleased with the twins after what they had done to her - more like, without her. So the night after Harry was safely tucked away at the burrow, Alexis was devising a plan. She leaned against the kitchen counter, humming a happy tune to herself, despite her dastardly deed. She was chopping ingredients for a potion she was brewing, every once and awhile she’d turn to the cauldron on the stove and throw a few things in, smiling as it was coming together nicely.
The young girl heard a yawn coming from behind her and she spotted Myou treading down the stares, rubbing her eyes tiredly. The Slytherin looked at the cauldron, then Alexis, then wondered what in the world the older girl was doing, so she asked, “What cha up to?”
Alexis merely rolled her eyes, still humming, “Making a potion. Obviously.”
Myou glared at the older girl as she slid into a seat at the kitchen table. “I mean, what are you doing making a potion at 2 in the morning?” She asked with a yawn, resting her chin in on of her hands and leaning against the table.
Alexis turned towards the younger girl with amusement. “Pour ittle Myou. You just don’t understand advanced potion making.” Turning back to her cauldron, she spoke once more, “Obviously this potion has to be made at night.”
Myou blinked in confusion, remembering why she was not good at potions, “Some potions can only be made at night?” She asked sheepishly with a slight blush adoring her cheeks.
Alexis tilted her head to the side, as if contemplating something, then said in a whimsical voice, “Now, isn’t that what I just said?”
Myou glared once more, her blush now spreading hot down her back, “I was confirming your statement, moron!” Suddenly, a yawn tore threw her throat and she sighed, bored once more.
Myou yawns then replies, “Can't sleep. Clowns will eat me?” She then snickers at her own joke - though, it wasn’t really her joke, Ami had a t-shirt with the phrase written on it.
Alexis raised her eyebrow at the younger girl, making the Slytherin sigh once more. “Ok...?”
“I'm worried about Ami,” Myou admitted after a moment, giving a very depressed look.
Alexis picked up a leaf of something and threw it into the cauldron, making a puff of foul smelling smoke appear. “Oh?” She asks, suddenly turning towards the younger girl, “Do tell.”
“Myou sighed and rubbed the back of he neck as she bit her lip. “Well,” She started slowly, debating if she should tell, “She started acting weird at the end of the year, you know, after her and her boyfriend broke up…” she paused to think for a moment, “And she's just getting worse and worse…she won’t eat, she won’t talk, I think something terrible happened, but I don’t know what.”
Alexis gave a smile that sent shiver’s down the Slytherin’s spine - and not in a good way. The older girl pulled out a small vial of Veritaserum from her pocket. “we could use this to help figure out what’s up. It’s Veritaserum: the truth serum.”
Myou’s eyes widen, “Are you nuts!? You're not using that on my sister!” She cried, startled by the suggestion, she then lowered her voice, “Now that I think about it, Liam was acting weird at the end of the year too...maybe he knows what happened with Ami?”
Alexis’s eyes gleamed, “Oh, then we can use it on Lily!,” She then smirked, “It’s not like I haven’t done that before.” She added offhandedly, stirring her cauldron in a zigzag pattern.
This time, Myou tried to hide a giggle by holding her hand over her mouth, “You used it on Liam! What for?” Though, she didn’t think Alexis needed a reason to do the things she did. The younger girl often had no idea what was going though her fiends mind half time with the pranks she tended to pull on her unfortunate victims.
The older girl shrugged and said, with a gleam in her eyes, “He was there and I was bored.” She continued to stir her potion, humming to herself a light and happy tune.
Myou giggled once more, not bothering to hide it. “I thought you would say that. Anyway, I think I like this plan!” She then paused, and thought about it for a moment. “But, how do we find Liam? And how exactly will we get him to take it?”
There was a loud bang from the cauldron and turned to a jar on the counter. She took out a slimy substance and dumped it into the brew before siring it in a pattern of swirls and zigzags for a moment. “We can owl him. He doesn’t live to far away, let’s have him meet us.” She spoke as she stirred, an evil gleam in her violet eyes.
Myou lifted her brow skeptically, “And say what exactly?” She asked while stifling a yawn.
Alexis didn’t miss a beat, already expecting the question, “We’ll just tell him it’s about Ami; he’ll come for sure then,” She said with a shrug, smelling her concoction. She then turned and smiled at Myou. “We’ll just bring a picnic. Complete with pumpkin juice and some sandwiches. I like picnics afterall. I met the Weasley’s on a picnic.”
Myou realized she didn’t know much about Alexis in that moment, except that the older girl liked to play pranks on anyone should could. So, the younger girl asked, “How exactly did you meet them? I never thought much about it before now, but I’m really curious.”
“Well,…” Alexis’s eyes glazed over as she remembered that day, “It had been raining the night before. I was cold, and I hadn’t gotten any sleep. I didn’t know much about myself - I have amnesia - the only things I do remember are my birthday, and the fact that my name is Alexis Rayne, other then that, I draw a blank. I didn’t even remember that I was a witch.” She chuckled sadly, “It was nice that day, the sun was shining bright, warming me up for the cold night I had. I can still remember how hungry I was - so terribly hungry - my stomach was roaring and I felt sick - I hadn’t eaten in days. The Weasleys - well, Molly, Arthur, Ron, Ginny, Fred and George - had decided to go on a picnic in the muggle park where I had been living.
“I saw their family laughing and having fun, and I wanted that for my own. Well, Molly saw me hiding behind a bush - I must have been pathetic looking, my hair not washed and sticking up in every direction, I hadn’t had a shower in months, my clothes were reduced to rags - and she invited me over. I was so scared of them - but happy too. They fed me, and gave me some water to drink, and George gave me a flower.” Alexis smiled sadly, tears burning her eyes, though she refused to cry. “I played with the twins and Ron for a few hours, feeling as if I was meant to be a part of their family. They told me they were going to take me somewhere where I would be safe: a muggle home I guess. Then, Ron and I got into an argument, and I made a cupcake explode in his face.
“They were really shocked when they found out I was a witch, but they were happy about it. They were happy because they had wanted to keep me safe and warm at their home, but couldn’t because they thought I was a muggle. When I did it, I was so confused, but Molly crushed me in her arms and held me so tight I couldn’t breathe. She cried onto my shoulder for a long time before finally she let me go. Then Arthur asked me“ Alexis paused as her voice quivered “…he said ‘Little girl, would you like to come home with us? Would you like to be our daughter?’. I had been so happy I couldn’t speak. They bought me home and they gave me clothes, and made up a bed so I could stay in Ginny’s room with her. I had been so happy because only the day before I had no family, then all of the sudden I had five brothers, a sister, and a mom and dad, all of whom told me how much they cared about me everyday.”
There was silence for a moment, “You don’t know anything about your past? Anything at all? Not even the reason why you have amnesia?”
For once, Alexis wasn’t sarcastic. She just shook her head and replied softly, tucking a stray hair behind her ear, “I don’t remember anything. The earliest memory I have is waking up in an alleyway.” She paused, then added, “I had been bleeding too…”But she shook her head, “Anyway,” Her voice was cheerful once more and Myou realized why the girl was the way she was; she was happy all the time to make her forget that horrid time in her life.
Myou nodded, willing to distract the older girl form the pain she had brought up, “So, do you think he’ll come? I mean, knowing how much you looooooooove to pull pranks?”
Alexis was mumbling to herself, upset she got off topic, but she nodded her head, “Yeah, if we say its about Ami,” She paused to sniff her potion once more, “Trust me. Though, you should probably write him. And leave out the whole me being there thing.”
Myou nodded her head, yawning once more, “Alright, it’s a deal then.” She then paused, “He’s not going to trust you around any type of liquid. He’ll probably make you test it…” She paused again, tapping her chin, “Then he’ll probably make me test it to, just to be on the safe side.”
Alexis waved her hand dismissively, “That sounds about right. That’s why I’m not going to spike it.” A high pitch whistling came from the cauldron and Alexis smiled evilly, “Ah! You’re almost done,”
Myou turned interested eyes to the pot once more, “So what are you making, anyway?” She asked with interest - she wasn’t good at potions, but she did like the subject very much. Maybe she would ask Alexis to tutor her someday.
The older girl threw some more ingredients into the pot and stirred it oddly once more. “It’s just a small punishment for Fred and George,” She said, an evil gleam in her eyes. She didn’t notice how the younger girl was slowly scooting away from her, slightly afraid. Alexis then smiled. “Nothing for your innocent ears to worry about!” She said, waving. “Now then, we’ll let him drink a bit - just to let him get comfortable.”
Myou nodded, “Then I’ll go into a story about Ami and how I’m worried, which is the truth.”
Alexis nodded, stirring her potion once more, which was currently releasing a dark red vapor, “Once you start talking about her being upset and everything that’s wrong, he’s gonna start acting guilty. He’s a terrible liar, you see,” She informed the Slytherin, “Then, I’ll start talking about how we’re asking him for help because he is totally in love for her.”
The young girl’s eyes lightened, “Then I’ll slip him the Veritaserum! You are a genius. He’ll never suspect me of doing it, plus I‘m great at stuff like this! This will be great!” He eyes suddenly glowed mischievously and she gave Alexis an innocent smile, “So, should I give him the whole thing then?”
Alexis laughed, “Three drops will be enough. I don’t want him to overdose…and it takes about a month to brew a batch. I need that to last until the end of summer to because I can’t brew it here. Just takes too long. Molly would have a fit if she discovered what I was doing and I try to not upset the woman.” She explained. “No, you go and write to Liam while I finish brewing this.”
The younger girl agreed with an nod of her head. She wrote a quick note explaining the situation to Liam and used Ron’s dimwitted owl, Errol, to deliver the owl, surprised when he nodded that he knew the way. She then realized that Liam and Alexis did date and probably exchanged many letters before. She quietly walked back inside the house and saw Alexis filling a couple of vials. She put two in his pocket and left two on the counter, “What now?”
She smiled to the young girl as she cleaned her mess, leaving no trace that she had made a potion at all. “We wait. Well, you wait. I have a pressing matter I must attend to,” She spoke with a mischievous gleam shining in her eyes.
Myou sighed and slumped against the table. “I’m never included in anything!” She said in a bored, depressed tone.
The Gryffindor looked at her with a raised brow, “Would you…like to help?” She asked.
“Oh, boy would I!” She exclaimed excitedly, standing from her spot. “So what is this potion going to do?” She then asked as Alexis handed her one of the vials.
Smirk, Alexis replied, “Well, it’s a type of sleeping draw that I invented. Very difficult to brew, but it’s speedy, only having a 4 hour cycle. It causes the victim to have…” She paused, tapping her chin to find the right words, “Unpleasantly pleasant dreams about another person. Just add the hair to the vial - which I have done - and the dreams will contain that person and the victim. You get to use that one on Fred.” She explained as simply as she could, though to potion wasn’t simple at all. By her calculations, it wasn’t a sly potion to use because he left a residue on the intended; but, she didn’t care, she wanted them to know who had forced them to dream erotically about each other.
Myou smiled brightly at her friend and spoke in a sly voice, “You know, this is perhaps the first time I have ever realized that maybe I do belong in Slytherin." She said with a laugh and an evil gleam in her eyes. Alexis laughed and Myou followed her swiftly into the boys rooms, her heart racing.
She watched as Alexis walked silently, yet swiftly, over to George. The young Gryffindor brushed his hair from his forehead softly, staring down at his peaceful looking face. He smiled and lulled into her touch, making her breathing hit and her cheeks turn red. Shaking he head, she ignored the tightening of he chest, and poured the content of the vial across his forehead and watched as it sizzled and was absorbed into the skin.
Myou saw the entire scene and resisted the urge to snicker. She too brushed the hair from Fred’s head, however, he did not smile and lean into her touch, and she did not blush like a school girl pining after a boy she loved. She merely poured the potion on the ed heads forehead, waited for it to sizzle, then Gave Alexis a thumbs up. The pair quickly and quietly tip toed out of the room, ignoring to horrid gasps and moans coming from the boys mouths as their nightmares started. Once out of the room safely, Myou thought to ask, “Why are we pranking them, anyway?”
Alexis paused, contemplating he answer, “They went to save Harry without me, and yet I still got in trouble.” She replied cautiously.
The Slytherin believed her easily, and nodded her head, “You are very vindictive.”
Cocking her head to the side, Alexis agreed with the girl, “This is true. Plus, I'm also pretty sick and twisted, but don't tell anyone that it's a secret.” She added the end with a wink.
Myou laughed softly, “At least you’re not in denial…” She paused, “Well, about sometimes that is!” she added with a snicker hidden behind her hand.
Alexis rounded on her, making her back away slightly, “What do you mean by that?” The Gryffindor asked with narrowed eyes.
Frightened, the younger girl squeaked, “Nothing! Nothing at all!” as she raised his hands defensively.
“I'm not an idiot Myou, you were obviously implying something. You should tell me now, before I'm forced to find more creative ways to get the truth out of you.” She growled, advancing on the girl.
Myou backed away slowly, "Well, I mean...you’re in denial about...how bad you are in charms!" She added quickly, "I'm sorry, but you really do stink in charms, worse then a armless wizard." Just for good measure, she nodded her head.
“Yes, but we all know I admit that.” She spoke softly, she eyes narrowing more as she kept of her advance. “What are you hiding from me? What is it that you don't want to say?”
Myou shook her head frantically, looking for a way out. “Nothing! Jeeze! you are a paranoid little freak,” She then added in a teasing tone, “Do you think everyone is out to get you?”
Alexis shrugged, “No, only those who act suspicious. Now, spill.”
Finally, Myou sighed and admitted, “Fine then, you are totally in love with George!” She spoke before darting towards her sleeping area, “Night!” she called over her shoulder.
Alexis looked taken aback for a moment, then rolled her eyes. “She seems to be misinformed.“ she whispered to herself in a voice that promised a slow, painful prank to be played. “Perhaps I should do something to fix that.
The burrow was quiet mostly the next morning; Ron, Harry, and Myou were out back playing childish games, Ginny had gone out with their parents to visit a family friend, and Ami was up in Ginny's room. Fred and George both woke up that morning from horrid night terrors. Night terrors filled with elicit acts involving each out. Fred awoke first, holding his head as it began to ache with his fear induced pain. When he felt a slimy substance he looked at his hand to find it covered blue. Instantly, he knew why he had been dreaming about his brother. "ALEXIS!" He screamed, waking his twin, before they both ran down the stairs.
George and Fred only knew abut the strange potion that gave erotic dreams because the three of them had planned on using it against some sixth years to give them nasty, dirty dreams about Professor Snape. Of course, the prank was for the Slytherins, and would be good for a couple of laughs. They had just needed to get rid of the after effects: the blue goopy by-product that was released from the forehead.
Alexis was down in the kitchen, this time not cooking up concoctions she would later use for evil, but instead pouring herself a glass of orange juice. The loud cry of her name from upstairs filled her heart with joy and a smirk lit up her face. Alexis she returned the juice to the fridge and sat down casually at the table waiting for the confrontation.
George saw her first and growled, “Alexis Rayne!” In a low voice, closing in on her, “What did we do to deserve THAT kind of punishment!? I was forced to stay asleep! I couldn't even wake up!” He snarled.
“I didn’t think you would ever stoop so low!” Fred added with a growl, advancing on her much like his twin.
Alexis raised a brow, though she didn’t look at them. Instead, she was glancing at her nails intently, “I have no idea what you are talking about,” She said coolly with a smile. “Perhaps if you explain in detail what you are talking about, I would have some kind of clue as to of why you seem mad at me.”
Both boys immediately blush, not able to look at the other. It was George who spoke first, stating, “You used the Conmercisomni potion that you created! We both know it,” He pointed at his blue forehead, “We were trying to fix the goop problem!”
Fred then added, his face flaming red, “It’s used to create elicit dreams! Which is not funny Alexis! Not when used on us!”
The girl gave them a confused look, finally meeting their eyes and trying to not burst out laughing, “Elicit?” She said in an innocent, sing-song voice, “Whatever could you mean by that, hm?” She asked with a hum.
Fred snarled in his face, placing his palms on the table and leaning over, “You know damn well what I mean!” His voice roared loudly in unbridled anger. His face was pink once more, however.
George then added from Alexis’s side, “It was a Slytherin thing to do that to your best friends,” It was a low blow, and he knew it. But he was surprised when Alexis just blinked and looked back to her nails.
“Yeah!” The other twin agreed, “I’m starting to think Draco Malfoy would be a better friend then you!” He leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest, feeling a bit awkward agreeing with his brother now.
The girl rolled her eyes, not even gracing them with a glance, “I doubt that, he's more likely to double cross you than I am.” She then tilted her head, as if thinking, and added, “Plus, he doesn’t have my creative flare.”
Fred growled and stomped his foot angridly. “”Incest is not creative! It’s sickening!”
George shuddered at the word incest and held himself, “This is going to scare us for life,” He said in a highly disturbed voice.
The girl thought about it, then smirked, still not looking at them. “True, but it'll give you good material to think about if you ever need to cool yourself down a bit.”
“Alexis!” They both growled together, then blushed, turning their heads downwards to stare at the floor.
After a moment of silence, George asked, stalking closer to her, “Just what were you thinking?”
She gave him a blank look in response. Honestly, there was a real reason for her picking that specific prank. Fred and George were her closest friends, but they would always be closer to each other than they could ever be with her. Normally she was fine with it, but it was the time that they went off to do big things without her that reminded her of the gap. She felt the need to do something that would cause a slight separation between the two for a bit. That was something she knew could work. Of course, she could never tell either of them her reasoning. “I obviously get some sick amusement from it.” She said slowly, looking back to he nails, feeling slightly uncomfortable.
Tired of her ignoring him, George reached out and grabbed her wrist, forcing Alexis to stare at him, “Alexis,” He growled out in a whisper, “This crosses the line. You realize that, right? You understand that, don’t you?”
She glared up at him, trying to not blush or feel guilty. Instead, she remembered all the pranks the twins had played on her boyfriends, making anyone terrified to go out with her. How alone she was because no men were allowed to get near her. She chose to remember these things when she bit out, “You've crossed lines too George. Don't act like I'm the first one to pull a prank that's gone a bit too far.” She then paused and added as an after thought, “And I doubt I’ll be the last either.”
The twin sighed and let go of her wrist, looking to the floor in guilt. She was right, of course. George himself had crossed so many lines, lines she didn’t even know about: like what he had done after taking Polyjuice potion, and how he had been planning on doing it again, “Let's call a truce, ok?” He whispered softly.
The girl bit her lip and nodded, looking at her hands that were resting on the table, her wrist clenched.
“Hey guys,” Fred called out, shifting awkwardly once more, “I’m going to go now…and I wanna be left alone, ok?” He spoke softly, looking to the ground, before running up the stairs.
George sighed. “I don’t think we'll ever get over this one,” he said, running his hand through his hair. He turned to Alexis once more. “why did you have to ruin mine and Fred’s friendship?” He asked quietly.
Alexis rolled her eyes, “I didn't ruin it. I simply created a situation that would cause awkwardness for a bit. You'll get over it.” she paused, shifted, then added, “You're twins George. You guys share a special connection. Something like this won't ruin that. Once you get over the awkwardness things will be fine. After all, it's not like either of you want to actually do something like that.” In a blank voice, trying to hide her jealousy. She then smirked. “You didn't even want to dream about it.”
The boy shuddered in disgust at the statement, “You’re damn right I didn’t!”
“Then there’s nothing to worry about!” She waved her hand dismissively.
He sighed. “Sometimes I think your evil incarnate, you know that?” He asked in a dejected voice.
She game him a playful smile. She didn't really feel playful at the moment, but she felt that would be the best response. Besides, the smile was easy enough to do even when she wasn't happy. “Perhaps I am,” She said with a shrug. She winked at him, then got up from the table.
He rolled his eyes in response, “Yeah, yeah, yeah,” He said with a blush. He then smirked and asked, “I’m going to go see what ittle Ron is doing, wanna come?”
Smirking, she replied, “Sure.” The pair went out the back to find Harry, Ron, and Myou in the garden.
A strange looking owl was flying away and Myou was reading a letter with a smile on her face. “I gotta go,” She spoke before Alexis could get to close, “I want to reply to this as soon as possible.”
Harry tilted his head to the side and questioned the flustered girl, “Who is it from? I didn’t recognize the owl.” Truth was, he didn’t like the owl much. A pure black feisty thing that threatened to bite him when he reached for it. It also had a necklace on with the Slytherin emblem.
Myou darted eyes towards Alexis and George, then whispered back, “It’s just Lucian.” With a blush on her face.”
“Oh, he’s an alright bloke, for a Slytherin.” Ron added the last part with a bit of bitterness, though he was starting to get over his hated for them, afterall, Myou wasn’t a bad person. “You know him, Harry, he’s on the Quidditch team, a beater. Saved your arse last year.”
“Oh, yeah, he seemed pretty cool.” Harry said with a nod. That had been his first experience with a friendly Slytherin besides Myou. Though Harry didn’t think that Lucian would have been so nice if he didn’t have a liking for the muggle-born.
Myou blushed bright red, then nodded. “Yes, well,” She saw the older Gryffindors closing in, and she was terrified of Alexis after the night before. “I should go!” She darted off, but the older girl grasped the young Slytherin’s wrist before she could get to far.
“Just where do you think you are going, missy?” Alexis ignored Myou’s pleading look and continued, “What are you up to, deary?”
Myou paused, thinking of a way out of it. Her eyes then lightened up and she blurted out, “I’m going to owl Liam!”
Her heart sank when Harry chirped up and said, “I thought it was Lucian?”
“Harry!” She hissed, glaring at the boy-who-lived.
He froze with wide eyes, “I mean…what?” He said with a nervous laugh, looking back an forth between the two girls.
Alexis’s eyes sparkled, “Lucian? Who’s Lucian, Myou?” She asked, tuning towards the young girl once more.
Myou hung her head in defeat as everyone stared at he, then blushed, “He’s my boyfriend,” She played with the sapphire earrings he gave her nervously.
“Aw, you have a boyfriend and didn’t tell me?” Alexis asked with a pout, though her eyes were still mischievous.
George rolled his eyes, “You probably scare her to death, will all your evil pranks and what not.” She shrugged and smirked her way.
The Gryffindor girl paused to think, “I don't know why anyone would think that about me? I'm obviously so sweet and innocent.” She gave another pause, then smirked back at her friend.
The forgotten Slytherin narrowed her eyes at the two of them, then hissed out in a whisper, “You wouldn’t dare!”
“I wouldn’t dream of it!” Alexis exclaimed as if hurt, “But I don’t know about him,” She said, aiming a glare at George.
The boy rolled his eyes and said sarcastically, “Yeah, I’m totally going to prank you guys. You know, cause that’s all I care about in the entire world, pranking young couples in love.” He gave a disgusted huff.
“Look,” Myou interrupted their banter, “I don’t really have time for this. What do you want?” She said with a sigh.
Alexis gave her a hurt looked and eyed all of them, “Do I have to always want something? Can't we just say that I enjoy your company?” She said with a fake whimper.
“No,” Myou, Ron, and Harry said simultaneously. They all hid their snickers behind their hands, exchanging amused glances with on and another.
Alexis bowed her head, faking tears, “But I do enjoy your company! So, terrible much!” She said, giving a dramatic wail.
“Doesn’t mean they enjoy yours,” George also hid a snicker of amusement behind his hand.
“I’m a very fun person to be around!” Alexis defended herself, crossing her arms over her chest in annoyance. She then narrowed her eyes, “Maybe you’d rather be with Fred, eh George?” She smirked as the boy blushed, but didn’t say anything about the prank; he didn’t want everyone to know about it, after all.
Myou did give her a nod, “Yeah, you’re fun to be around. Just not when you’re being evil!”
“Oh, she’s good at that!” George piped up, “At being evil and vindictive I mean.” He threw a wicked smile at Alexis, who just gave him a sickly sweet one in return.
“But that’s what everyone likes about me!”
Myou narrowed her eyes at Alexis and bit out innocently, “It’s one of the things George loves about you.” in a teasing voice. Both Ron and Harry broke down into fits of laughter, not able to contain themselves any longer.
Alexis blushed slightly thinking about what Myou had said the night before, but it faded away quickly. “I feel as if I am missing some sort of joke, perhaps this is a sign that we need to cause some sort of chaos, eh George” She asked the boy, though her narrowed eyes never left Myou.
“Oh yes, I’m afraid I must agree,” He replied, his face as red as his hair.
Rolling her eyes, Myou said, “I told you I don’t have time for this.” Before she disappeared into the burrow, escaping their clutches.
Alexis pouted, watching the girl go, “Aw, that’s so sad. I wanted to play with her most of all!”
Harry mock gasped, “Alexis, I’m surprised! Are you…a lesbian?” He said after a pause, tilting his head to the side.
The Weasley twin burst into fits of laughter and fell to the ground. “Yeah! That’s why we turned Oliver into a girl!” Ron merely rolled his eyes at his brother.
Rolling her eyes, she exclaimed in a very bored tone, “Oh no, I’ve been found out! I waas hoping to hide this for much longer.”
“Idiot,” Ron mumbled.
Harry laughed and said, “well, I’m telling everyone at Hogwarts!”
Alexis tilted her head and rubbed her chin, “Go ahead, do it. You know, I think this lesbian thing will be a good move for me. I mean, Since all the guys have been scared off from dating me, maybe dating girls will work out better.” She directed the comment at George, but said it casually in an uncaring, teasing sort of way.
With wide eyes, George shifted awkwardly. In his mind he could see Alexis and a beautiful blonde he was now referring to as Samantha kissing and touching, their clothing disappearing, fingers in places he didn’t think they belonged. The girls in his mind giggled and gasped and moaned, and he found it hard to not groan at the imagines his mind was giving him, “I have to cut this banter short,” He mumbled before rushing into the house to take care of a problem that he now had. He just hoped no one had noticed the obvious growing bulge before he ran away.
Harry blinked awkwardly at the spot where George had once been standing, but Alexis seemed to not notice how weird the situation had become. “What’s his problem?” She wondered out loud, wondering if he was still mad about the twin-cest thing.
Smirking, Harry shrugged and said, “Something about you being a lesbian obviously seemed to get to him in an. . . odd way.” Ron dropped his head in his hands and gave a groan of embarrassment. That was not something he wanted to think about.
Alexis gave the boy wonder a look of confusion. “Explain. Quickly.” she growled, tapping her foot angrily.
Ron backed away slowly, edging behind Harry, “I’m staying out of this particular argument!”
Harry glared at him, before turning scared eyes towards the girl, “I, well, uh…that is, with you…what?”
Alexis narrowed her eyes and advanced on the two younger boys, “Harry Potter, is there something you’re not telling me?”
Harry thought that if he had a mother, this would have been how she asked him things when he was being bad. He backed away from her slowly, holding his hands up in defense. “Now Alexis, I just got back from being held prisoner...you don’t want to hurt me, do you?” He spoke softly, trying to appeal to the girls better nature.
It failed as she shrugged and said, “I wouldn’t hurt you. Just prank you a bit.”
“That’s cruel!” He protested loudly.
Alexis shrugged once more, “I don’t think so.”
“Well I do!” Harry turned his eyes to Ron, looking for some help form the red head.
“She’s crazy! What do you expect me to do?” He hissed back at Harry, never taking his eyes off of Alexis.
“Anything!” The boy-who-lived growled back at his best friend.
Myou saved them, however, when she ran outside, a letter clenched in her closed fist. Huffing, she spoke to Alexis, “Liam. He wants to meet. Now.”
Alexis sighed and cast the relived looking Harry a hard look. “We’ll continue this later.”
The sun was beating down on them, warming them nicely. The two girls had brought a red and white checkered blanket and a medium sized woven basket with them. Liam shifted uneasily on the picnic blanket, eyeing Alexis nervously. He had no idea she would be here, and frankly, it freaked him out a bit, “So...you wanted to talk?” He asked slowly, turning his eyes to Myou, who he was now thinking wasn’t quite so innocent as she seemed.
Myou smiled brightly and nodded her head, but instead of telling him what was wrong, she turned to Alexis and asked. “I'm thirsty, what did you bring to drink?”
Alexis nodded, “Yeah, some pumpkin juice,” She spoke as she riffled through the basket. She produced the container and three cups. She poured one and handed it to Myou, then said, “Lilly, I’m so glad you could join our ittle picnic. We had been planning it for a while,” in a teasing voice. “Would you like some juice?” She then asked, holding out a cup to the boy.
Liam gave a weary look, his eyes shifting between the two girls, “You first,” He finally spoke, “I don’t trust you…either of you.” He ended the sentence, his eyes darting to Myou for a second before returning to the prankster.
Myou giggled, “Oh Lilly, you sure are silly!” She paused and giggled once more, “Hey, that rhymed!”
Alexis rolled her eyes at Myou and Liam both. “I just don’t understand your lack of trust in me, Lilly. We used to be so very close.” She then winked at him while sipping the untainted juice.
“Don’t remind me.” He said in a dry tone, watching her intently. When he was satisfied, he took the offered drink. He sipped it once to get over his nervousness, before setting it down and clearing his throat. “Now, back to the subject. What’s wrong with Ami?”
Myou nodded. “Yes, she has been very distant lately, she wont talk to me. Every time I ask her, she just seems to get mad...she's been acting weird since her boyfriend broke up with her…” She paused and sighed sadly. “She’s getting worse about everything too. I…I don’t think she’s been eating. Sometimes at night, I think I can hear her crying. Most days she won’t come out of her room even. If she does, she has bags under her eyes, and she wears very baggy clothing.”
Liam shifted awkwardly, guilt filling him. He should have known this was about the asshole. “I'm sure I don’t know what could be wrong,” He said pathetically, trying to sounds innocent. He needed to talk to Ami, and soon. He was the only person who could help her get out of this deep, dark depression.
Alexis gave him a skeptical look. “Are you sure about that? It seems to me that you know exactly what’s going on. Lilly, don’t lie to me, either. I know you to well for that.” She spoke softly, her tone deadly serious, so unlike her.
The boy glared at her, trying to hold a poker face, “I’m not lying. I assure you, I do not know what’s wrong.”
While Liam was locked in a staring contest with Alexis, Myou pulled a tiny vial out of her shirt. She lean over slightly - not enough to be noticed - and poured exactly three drops into his drink.
“I know you’re probably doing this because you’re so in love with her and you want to keep all her secrets to yourself, but is it fair to keep it from others who could help he get over whatever this is?” Alexis said in a soft, teasing voice as she placed her hand over his.
The boy’s eyes widened, and he ripped his hand away from her, growling, “Alexis! You are a psycho. How many times do I have to tell you that I don’t like Ami?” He reached for his drink and gulped the entire contents down nervously, trying to hide his blushing face.
Myou smirked. In five minutes - the time it too the Veritaserum to work - she would finally know the truth. She gave Alexis a knowing look, and the girl returned it gently. “Well, Liam, do you remember anything specific that happened at the end of the school year?” She asked to boy after a moment, shifting her eyes back to him, “Anything that Ami did or told you she did?”
Liam’s head started to feel a bit dizzy, and he didn’t answer for a long time. With red cheeks, he said, “I don’t really recall…” It was hard to get the words out, though. Like his brain and mouth weren’t working together.
Alexis gave him a smirk, “So, you’re not in love with Ami then?”
He found this time, he couldn’t speak. Sweat was dripping down his brow and instead of telling her, he shook his head, afraid of what he would say. Something was wrong, he knew. He looked down at his drink - all gone. There were no traces that it had been poisoned, and Alexis sipped it herself not ten minutes before.
“Is that a fact?”
Before he could think, his mouth opened and he spoke, “No,” In a raspy voice. His eyes widened and he put his hands of his mouth in shock. He knew at this moment he was in deep shit, that they had drugged him with Veritaserum.
Myou glared at Alexis, “That doesn’t matter,” She hissed before turning her eyes back to the panicking boy. “What’s wrong with my sister? What happened to her?”
Liam tried to hold the words back, to keep his promise, but he couldn’t, not with the Veritaserum running ramped through his body. It pushed forward the words he never wanted to say, “Marcus attacked her.” His wide eyes looked between the two girls in a frantic panic.
The older girl narrowed her eyes while Myou sat in shock. “What?” She asked, making sure she heard him right. “How do you know that?” The problem with Veritaserum is that the person you gave it to could only tell what they thought to be true. So, if they thought the sky was brown, that is what they would say if asked.
“Marcus Belby...he attacked her! I had the map, and I was watching her, and his name was chasing her name, so I ran as fast as I could, and she was trying to fight him off her, but I think I got there in time.” He said slowly, trying to keep the words in, to no avail.
With every syllable that sprang forth from the boys mouth made Myou madder and madder until she finally jumped up and cried out, “I’m going to kill him!”
Alexis, too, stood and tried to calm the girl down, placing a hand on her shoulder, “He’s stronger then you. Don’t do anything rash, Myou.”
The Slytherin gave her a sharp look. “I’ll challenge him to a duel then! I’ll curse him! I’ll cruciatus him into oblivion!” Before Alexis could protest, she turned her death gaze to Liam. “And You! Why didn’t you tell me!? I’m her sister for god’s sake!” She cried, Wrapping her tiny fists into the collar of the boy’s shirt.
Alexis pulled her away from him. “Myou, you need to calm down. Unforgivables aren't something you can just lightly threaten someone with. We’ll find creative ways to deal with him. You are a Slytherin, aren’t you?”
Liam winced, “Listen to Alexis! I just couldn’t tell you, you have to understand! It wasn’t my thing to tell.” He spoke honestly, giving her a sad look.
Myou suddenly dropped to the ground, her eyes glowing with an evil rage. “Yes, I am a Slytherin, aren’t I? He is going to be one sorry Ravenclaw, that’s for sure. He’s going to regret going anywhere near my sister.” She said in a strangely calm voice. But one could tell the anger and wrath that was hidden in her tone.
Alexis gave a sigh of relief. “Ok, good, you were acting a bit more like a Gryfindor for a moment. Remember you Slytherins are supposed to be sneaky with how you get back at someone. Us Gryffindors are the ones who charge in head first without thinking.”
Myou rolled her eyes, “Oh, I’ll be sneaky. But he is still going to regret being bon when I get through with him…if I get through with him, that is.”
The older girl nodded, “Yes, just don’t do anything too rash. he's older than you, so he's more experienced and stronger.” She then turned away from the two of them, lost in her own thoughts for a moment.
“He may be older, ands stronger, but I’m a better witch and he’s pissed me off.” Myou bit out angrily, her eyes practically glowing with fury.
“If you tried to do something to him... and got hurt in the process, wouldn't that make things worse for Ami. You can't help her by doing what you're planning on doing.” The Gryffindor tied to explain calmly, to keep both the twins safe.
The younger twin looked to the ground, finally letting tears come to her eyes. “I’ll do anything to make this right, Alexis.” She spoke softly, “And I do mean, anything.”
“Liam gulp and scooted away from the girl, “Myou, never get mad at me. I’m kinda scared.” He spoke as he moved away from her, slightly frightened.
Myou’s eyes darted towards him, “Then you better not break her heart!” She bit out.
Alexis sighed and pushed herself to stand once more. Looking down at the two, she shook her head and headed back towards the burrow.
The Slytherin stood too and cried out, “Where are you going! You have to help me!”
Alexis didn’t even look back at the two of them, “There's nothing else I really want to talk to either of you about today. I’ll be going now.”
“She’s right you know,” Liam said as he stood and grabbed Myou’s wrist, stopping her from chasing after Alexis. “Belby is an asshole, but you have to be careful…I mean, he did beat your sister, and pin her. And I know for a fact you sister has a nice right hook.” He looked to the ground as he spoke, then added to the end, “You have to be careful.”
“You're right.” Myou said, holding herself. “I just wish there was something I could do.” She then broke down into tears, making Liam hold her before she fell to the ground.
OOOOOO

OOOOOO
