Chapter 2

Oh my gosh! This took so long for me to finish. I had so many different ideas for this chapter. But, I finally settled on one. I think that it's pretty good but, that is really up to you readers. I hope that you all like it. So, please enjoy this long awaited chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. I do not own any of the references. 'The Marriage Contract' is a real book written by Cathy Maxwell. And, no I do not own it.

Harry walked out of his dorm and out of the common room. He pulled his cloak tighter around himself. It was always cold in the dungeons. And, he was more warm blooded than most. Meaning he was constantly wearing a sweater or cloak. Every morning he would wake up freezing even though his duvet was the thickest one that he could find.

He sighed as he entered the great hall and walked over to the Slytherin table. It was strange that he was sorted into Slytherin. Both of his parents had been in Gryfindor. And, all of his fathers family had been too. But, according to Prof. Snape. Personality's weren't passed down through genes. So, was the example of Harry being in Slytherin. But, he suspected that Severus wouldn't have been so nice had he been sorted into Gryfindor like everyone expected.

Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini were already sitting at the table with Pansy Parkinson and Theodore Nott. The five of them were a close nit group. Closer than the Golden Trio of Gryfindor. Neville Longbottom, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. Although, no one knew it but, them. Don't be fooled, Harry is still the savior of the wizarding world. But, Neville Longbottom is the runner up and the favorite of most.

Anyone who was stupid enough wanted, prayed, and hoped that Neville would be the savior and not Harry. They hoped that Voldemort and Dumbledore had made horrible mistakes. They hoped in vain. Harry was still the savior four years later and still would be years from now.

Blaise looked up and grinned at Harry with a nasty edge. Harry through the grin back and Blaise laughed. They had talked some things over about a few past differences but, now they were on the same page. An oblivious Draco looked up and smiled at his best friend. Harry smiled back and sat next to him.

Blaise had liked Draco since the winter of their first year. But, Draco continued to remain oblivious of the flirty gestures and comments that came his way. Everyone in Slytherin could see it except for Draco. It was almost as bad as Granger and Weasley. Pansy rolled her eyes and continued with what she was saying to Theo.

"So, what's the plan for today?" Harry questioned the group. It was the second sunday of the school year and was also a Hogsmeade weekend. Theo paused what he was saying to turn to Harry.

"What about going down to Madam' Rosmertta's? I could use a butter beer. And, some Florentine's chocolate." He said with a grin and Pansy punched his arm. Theo loved to make fun of Pansy's strange eating habits. Like dipping dark chocolate in butter beer.

Draco nodded. "Sounds good. I need to stock up on fudge." The others laughed. All very familiar with Draco's obsession with fudge and other chocolaty items. Pansy, Blaise, and Harry quickly agreed and they set out to finish their breakfast.

"Attention, Students!" Dumbledore called as he stood from his seat at the head table. "Attention!" All of the noise was sucked out of the hall as everyone looked to the front. "This year is a very special year! I'm sure that many of you have heard of the Tri-Wizard Tournament!" Whispers broke out among the students. Some good and some bad.

"Silence!" McGonagal called as the noise continued to escalate.

"Thank you, Minerva." Dumbledore said before turning back to the students. "This year we will be hosting two other schools. For this year we are hosting the Tri-Wizard Tournament." Harry and his friends gave each other looks. This was nothing to be celebrating. The Tri-Wizard Tournament was the most dangerous of wizarding games. And, had killed many over the years. "The names of the schools that we will be hosting are Durmstrang and Beaxtatouns."

Excited murmurs once again broke out across the hall. Pansy turned to Harry. "Isn't?" Was all she said and Harry nodded in the affirmative. Dumbledore called for silence once more before speaking again.

"They will be staying for the year. Their arrival will be late tonight. They will be here tomorrow morning for breakfast. I ask that you all welcome them with open arms and help them adjust to the change of scenery!" Soft murmurs continued. "They housing situation is the following. Durmstrang will be housed with Slytherin. And, Beaxbatouns will be housed with Ravenclaw. Alright. That should be all for now. Please, Enjoy the rest of your sunday!" Immediately, students began to stand and make their way out of the hall.

"Harry! Viktor might be coming!" Pansy said as soon as everyone was out of the great hall. Harry gave her a look and began to stand. The others quickly followed as he made his way out of the hall. "Harry, don't act like that!" She called after her best friend. "This is a good thing."

Harry knew that it was a good thing. But, it didn't mean that he had to be happy about it. Every summer and winter break he had stayed with the Krums. This was done without Dumbledore's knowing of course. But, over the years Harry's interest in the older boy had changed. Somewhere along the way he had begun to see Viktor as possible boyfriend material more than as a brother.

It had since gotten awkward when there was nothing specific to talk about. Viktor was coming though. There was no if about it. Harry was sure that Viktor's friends would never let him live it down if he missed the Tri-Wizard Tournament. So, yes, Viktor Krum would be coming to Hogwarts for the year. And, this thought only made Harry's stomach coil tighter in nervous anticipation.

Blaise through his arm around Draco's shoulders and pulled him in front of everyone else. Red stained Draco's cheeks at the action but, otherwise continued with the carrying conversation. Harry smirked at the scene but, continued down the path to Hogsmeade silently. It wasn't until Theo spoke up that he looked up from the path.

"Harry, what did you think of the potions assignment?" Theo questioned with a risen eyebrow. Harry looked up at him and frowned.

"It wasn't very challenging if that's what you're asking." Harry said and smirked at the indignant look that crossed the taller boys face. Pansy shook her head at her friends antics. Harry was always one that kept you on your toes. One could never guess what he would say or do next.

"Malfoy!" A scathing voice called out from behind them. Harry was the first to spot Ron Weasley walking towards them. On his arm was Cicila Hardin, a third year Gryfindor and known Gryfindor slut. Behind them stood Hermione and Neville quietly.

Draco turned and sneered at the taller boy. The Malfoy's and Weasley's had always been on odd ends of everything. "What's the matter weasel? Couldn't find a real catch so you had to go for the one with a hundred different STD's?" He had learned about muggle sex diseases from Harry. Ron's face turned an ugly shade of red and Cicila shouted in offense.

"Now, come on Ron. I don't see why you always try to start something..." When Hermione tried to intervene, Cicila only shoved her away.

"Ronnie-baby! He just insulted me...do something..." Her attempt at pouting only caused the Slytherin's to grimace in digust. It looked like she was trying to eat a lemon whole. Ron pulled out his wand but, when he looked up he found that Harry already had his wand pointed at him.

"I think this would be a good time for you all too continue on..." Harry said calmly without a hint of expression on his face. Neville and Hermione took this as their opportunity and dragged the other two Gryfindor's down into Hogsmeade. "Now, where to first? Madam's or Honeyduke's?" Blaise and Pansy snickered behind their hands before they dragged the other three into Honeyduke's.

Harry sighed as he sat down on one of the couch's in the Slytherin common room. He wrapped the blue blanket he held around himself and grabbed the book that he had brought down from his room. 'The Marriage Contract' by Cathy Maxwell. It was a muggle book that Viktor had gotten him as one of his three birthday presents.

The second was a two foot infant boa constrictor that he named Aspasia, the greek word for Lily. The third was a wizarding version of the muggle iPod. All of his favorite songs, muggle and wizard had already been uploaded into it.

The rest of the trip to Hogsmeade had gone well. Blaise had gotten himself a new inkpot and had insisted on paying for all of Draco's fudge. Causing the boy to blush profusely and allow the italian to do what ever he wanted. Pansy had gotten her dark chocolate and a carton of butterbeer. Theo bought a one of a kind Veela feather quil for his collection and Harry bought out Honeyduke's of their Lustrious Milk Chocolate and Harvin's Honey Drops. All in all it was a successful Hogsmeade weekend.

A blush rose to Harry's cheeks as he read through the fourteenth chapter of the book and popped a honey drop into his mouth. He wondered if Viktor knew what kind book he had gotten. It was getting quite explicit. As he read the middle of the two hundred and sixty first page he yelled out involentarily. "You jerk off! How could you ruin the mood like that?" Pansy and Theo, who were sitting on a different couch started. Pansy looked over at Harry worriedly.

"You okay Harry darling?" Harry started as his friends voice broke through his thoughts. He looked up and into the worried eyes of his friends.

"I'm fine. Just yelling at a fictional character that doen't know when to keep his nose out of other peoples business." Harry grumbled before going back to where he left off. Theo shook his head and asked Pansy another question.

"So, what are you going to do?" For the last fifteen or so minutes they had been discussing Harry.

"I'm not sure, Theo..." Pansy said with a frown. "It's been a year since Viktor admitted to loving Harry as more than a sibling. And, he still hasn't made a move." She sighed as she continued to write down answers for her History of Magic paper.

"Well, let's wait until tomorrow and see what happens. Then, we can move on from there." Theo suggested while reading over the girls shoulder.

"Fine..." She muttered, her frown deepening. "We'll figure something out tomorrow. Maybe Luna will help us." Theo smiled at Pansy's pouting stature.

"I'm sure she will." Pansy flashed him a smile before looking back down at her paper. They both looked up when Harry shouted out again. This time in worry.

"No, Adian! Don't leave her." The last of his sentence ended in a whine. Pansy and Theo hid their laughter before going back to what they were doing. If they had anything to do with it. All would be well between Harry and Viktor. Harry had gone through too much in his life already. Not to mention what would be rearing an ugly head soon enough. After all of this was over, he would need someone to take care of him for once. Hopefully, Viktor would be that person.

Well, there it is. The second chapter! Yes! It took a while for me to finish this chapter because, I wasn't sure which direction to take. Whether to go straight into Harry's fourth year or to do a chapter for each year leading up to his fourth year. So, I finally decided on just jumping into his fourth year. Because, in all honesty, I can make this story much longer with the direction that I decided on.

Okay. Thank you all so much for being so patient with this. I hope that you all enjoyed the second chapter as much as I did while writting it. Please review and let me know what you think of it.

Thanks again,

Jenna :)
