Year Two (Curiosity)
He told himself that it was only curiosity that brought him to the hospital wing night after night. His justified need to see
that know-it-all punished for knowing it all. He walked up to the bed having already set about distracting Madam Pomfrey. Crabbe
had a horrible stomach ache from ingesting something he and Goyle had found floating in the halls. Sometimes he wondered about
those two.
A curtain hides her from the other patients and he silently slinks around it. She is lying there asleep; the ugliest thing he
has ever seen and yet she mesmerizes him. She is covered in hair and oddly reminds him of Millicent Bulstrode’s cat. She turns
in her sleep and he freezes his heart stopping for a moment. She doesn’t wake up. He moves closer and slowly run his hand along her left ear. Her skin is warm against his cold fingers. She turns into his hand. Just then he hears glass break. His time is over. He peaks through the curtains just as Madam Pomfrey is pushing Crabbe out the doors and he snicker. Crabbe has managed to break 5 glass bottles of potions which have converged and are eating through the floor. He makes his escape as she is cleaning them up.
