Chapter 1



"Sweethearts, you know that Mum, Dad and me are what is called a triad which means that our soul wasn\'t split in 2 but was split in 3!" And Draco went on in the same lecturing tone that he had in his classroom too,"There is only ever 1 triad at a time, which means when the previous triad passed away the 3 of us started to understand our feelings for each other!" Diane was catapulted back in time:

"Mum, why can I not come home during weekends?" "Oh sweetheart, first your school is in Scotland and secondly we have no idea what you need to learn. You are going on a big adventure and I am so jealous of everything you are going to experience." Diane was not at all certain about all these changes in her life. Running around with her head in the clouds, Diane bumped into the most beautiful woman she had ever seen "Excuse me" she said politely and Narcissa Malfoy turned around and smiled down on her "That\'s alright ,what is your name?" Diane stuck her hand towards the stately woman and introduced herself; Narcissa smiled again and shook her hand "Pleased to meet you Diane, I would like you to meet my son Draco, I think he will be in your year at Hogwarts. This will be your first year, is that correct?" Diane and Draco where both scuffing their toes and blushing red hot, their mothers smiling the whole time!

It was time to say goodbye and both children went through the wall at platform 9 and 3/4. They loaded their trunks on the train and Draco - being the little gentleman he was - helped Diane. Diane searched for an empty compartment and could only find one where there was already 1 boy seated; she took a deep breath and opened the door. A boy with broken glasses and green eyes looked up at her and tentatively smiled. She smiled back and ushered Draco in with her. Diane and Draco started talking about school and the boy listened in; he sometimes smiled and sometimes looked scared. Draco finally asked the boys name and so Diane and Draco met Harry Potter for the first time! They became fast friends; Draco the perfect pureblood, Diane the ignorant muggleborn and Harry the abused halfblood!

"Mum, Mum, MUM!!!" Scorpius yelled. Diane shook her head, completely lost in the memory of their first meeting. She smiled and said "Ok kids, I was thinking that we can tell you the story as we lived it and then we can watch these films and compare. How does that sound? Draco was meanwhile looking at the DVD cover to see who played them and was happy with both Harry and himself, but couldn\'t find a reference to his wife and he scowled because of that. Diane walked up to him to give him a sweet kiss on the lips. Harry smiled at the beautiful scene and couldn\'t help but walk to them and as he put his arms around Draco\'s waist he put his chin on the other mans shoulders so Diane could peck him on the lips as well. He gave a discrete lick on Draco\'s neck that made the other man shudder and mumble about waiting until tonight. Diane let out a giggle and James, being 13, sighed about his disgusting parents!

Albus and Scorpius, both 12 and fresh out of there first year of Hogwarts, knew the tone their Papa used well; it was the one he used in potions class too. Lily looked at him as he continued the tale of their first meeting "I told

your Mum and Dad about the houses in Hogwarts" Diane got the dreamy look again:



"Well, there are 4 houses in Hogwarts..." Draco said "Slytherin ,Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor and I will be in Slytherin." "I want to go there with you" Harry piped up and Draco, knowing all about the boy-who-lived, knew that that would be a horrible idea, and so he told Harry exactly that! Diane said "But I want us to stay together, I know nobody else..." Draco smiled and said "Ohhh, I would like that too, but you are muggleborn and Slytherins are not so nice to them. Anyway, I think you will be in Hufflepuff and if I can make a guess you will be a Gryff\', Harry." And wouldn\'t you know it - he had been right on all account! When they where sorted to their different houses they were sad but made a pact to stay friends forever!

"Is that where your souls connected, Papa?" Lily asked and Draco smiled proudly at his little girl "Yes sweetheart, it was. We connected and nothing could ever break the connection!" Harry grumbled "Or so we thought, didn\'t we! Because the bit..." "Shush, Harry!" Diane whispered, harshly "Our kids are here, sweetheart, they don\'t need to hear you say these things! And besides, that\'s all in the past and now the kids will learn everything!" "It\'ll be ok, love" Draco who had pulled Harry in his lap, whispered in his ear "We love you forever." Harry leaned back in his husbands embrace and let Draco sooth him. He sighed deeply, looked at his family and just knew that they would be ok. They just had to be.



Harry remembered fondly:

The 3 of them walked the grounds together at every free moment they had and did their homework in the library, always the 3 of them. Draco only made a few friends in his house; Blaise and Pansy and only because they where nice to his 2 best friends. Diane made friends with only one girl Hannah Abbott and Harry only got a lot of admirers. He was gawked at by his entire house. The only one he remotely wanted to call a friend was Neville. They had an amazing first year, if you didn\'t think of trolls and Voldemort hiding under the turban of the defence teacher! But together they conquered all!



James, the smartest and currently only Ravenclaw in the family, remarked that that was because the triad powers

were setting in and bonding them slowly to become a unit.

Summer Holiday:

Harry, Draco and Diane stepped from the train and suddenly it hit Diane; she wouldn\'t see her two best friends for over two months, Her eyes became very shiny and both Harry and Draco took a step towards her to comfort her. Right in that moment a booming voice yelled "BOY!" Harry turned to see his whale of an uncle waving him over, he quickly hugged both his best friends and ran off! Draco hugged Diane and over her shoulder he saw his father poised as ever, but Draco could see the fury in the mans eyes. He gave her quick wave and ran towards his parents . Diane stood there and as tears fell from her eyes she too saw her parents. With a huge smile she ran to them because she had missed them so much and she had sooooo much to tell them about the adventures, the things she had learned and of course about her two new best friends! Two weeks into the vacation Diane had told every-

thing three times over and boredom had set in. She did all her summer homework and wrote dozens of letters to her friends, but she hadn\'t received any letters from them. By the third week Draco had been locked up in his room by his father for befriending not only a mudblood but also the boy-who-lived. He had finished his summer homework and was cut off from the outside world, but his mum had snuck in Diane\'s letters which made him smile. He even wrote some back but couldn\'t send them to her by owl! His father had taken away all his communication privileges!

By this point both Diane and Draco were sick with missing each other and separately they came to the same conclusion; "We need to see each other" They were very worried about Harry and although he never said anything about it, they both knew his family wasn\'t all that nice! So on July 30 both Draco and Diane snuck out of their houses and tried to make their way to Harry. Harry meanwhile was being ignored and starved, half the time he was so hungry who couldn\'t even think straight anymore. His family blamed him for a year worth of things that had gone wrong. The wounds he had received from the beatings at the beginning of the holidays were only now starting to heal. He had never in his life cried so much into his pillow thinking about his 2 best friends!

Draco had to make his way from Wiltshire to Surrey, so he stole some money from his mum, even taking some of the muggle money she had for buying her designer dresses. Draco made his way through the leaky cauldron and was bombarded with muggle London, which to Draco was very noisy ! He searched and asked for help at the bus and train stations and finally found the best way to travel to Surrey, which all things considered, wasn\'t really that far away! He bought a pumpkin pastry and pumpkinjuice and started on his fantastic journey. He was scared but giddy with nervous anticipation about seeing his friend again. When he got off the bus he just needed to walk a small distance and that

was where he got assaulted by the prettiest thing he had seen all summer.

Diane had to go from Dover to Surrey so she just asked her mum for money to go out and buy her friend Harry a birthday present. Her mum agreed and Diane went on her merry way. She searched the information for busses and trains in the brochures at her home; she knew she was lucky with her parents so she left them a little note telling them what she was doing and why. She bought some pop and candy bars for the trip on the bus . She was giggling the entire time because she was so nervous! When she got off the bus she couldn\'t hold back the tears of relief. She wouldn\'t be doing this alone because there was Draco, the blond she had missed so much she practically bowled him over when she skidded to a stop an inch from him and threw her arms around him!



Hand in hand they made their way to Harry\'s house. When they turned into Privet Drive they found number 4 rather easily. Draco knocked on the door and after a moment or two the door flew open. Standing in the doorway was the ugliest giant they had ever seen - Dudley Dursley! Diane asked if Harry was home and if he was allowed to play outside. Petunia, hearing Harry\'s name, hurried to the door and told them Harry was sick so he couldn\'t come out. Draco and Diane didn\'t believe a word of what she was saying so they decided to wait until dark and then Draco would climb the tree to see Harry! While they where waiting Draco told Diane about his horrible father who he suspected used to be a death eater! He told her about the punishment he got for being their friend but he also told her about his wonderful mother and that she had given him Diane\'s letters. Diane told him she left a note for her parents because they would be worried about her and she loved them too much to not inform them about where she was. Draco admitted that he had hidden a note for his mother to in her secret place that only the two of them knew about.

As soon as darkness had started to set in Draco began to climb the tree and when he looked through the window of Harry\'s room a gasp escaped his lips; he had never seen Harry look so bad! He was so skinny and filthy he looked like he hadn\'t showered in a month. Sometimes being an underage wizard was very frustrating - Draco had a wand but could do nothing about it, so he needed help! Diane just couldn\'t wait anymore and climbed the tree after she had heard Draco gasp. When she arrived at the window level and saw Harry her uncontrolled magic just took over and she apparated Draco and herself into the room! Draco was amazed and so was Diane about what had happened, she wasn\'t even aware that she had done that! Harry opened his dull green eyes and started laughing manically, he almost chocked he was laughing so hard in between gasping out some words "Draco... Diane.... seeing .... things.....hungry...water... need... mine.... friends..... love ...." and then he fainted! Both Diane and Draco had some leftovers from their pop and pastries and candy so they took it out and tried to feed Harry but because he was

unconscious, they couldn\'t !

Diane knew she needed help soon and - without even trying or ever practising - she apparated, not even to a destination but directly to a person! Professor Snape didn\'t know what hit him when he was assaulted by a little girl in his bedroom while wanking. He scrambled to get himself decent! He started yelling, when all off a sudden he stopped and started to think how on earth would a little 12 year old girl end up in tears in his bedroom? So he asked her rather gently what was wrong and Diane told him about what was going on and that Harry and Draco and herself needed his help badly because Harry was so sick! Severus Snape, potions professor extraordinaire, all around grumpy guy and godfather to one Draco Malfoy, dressed with the help of his wand and the handy spell "vestire"! Diane started to drag him with her and he kneeled to be the same height as her and tried to calm her down so he could get the information he needed for directions. Once he understood that the entire thing was playing at the home of Harry Potter he informed the headmaster by floo.

They all arrived at the same time at the front door of Harry\'s house; and being that two full grown wizards were at the front door, Vernon let them in, albeit rather reluctantly. While Dumbledore talked to the Dursley\'s to try to find out what was going on Severus, tore up the stairs.When he had to unlock the door with dozens of locks he just knew he wouldn\'t like the view behind that door! Vernon and Petunia kept their lips firmly closed, so Albus Dumbledore did the only thing he could and got the information he needed straight from their heads. Severus Snape was appalled by the state in which he found Harry. Draco was cradling his head and stroking his hair while tears streamed down his face! Draco whispered "Help him, uncle Sev. Please, help him?" Sev winked at the boy and started to work with potions and spells. Harry started to breath a little easier and was able to swallow the potions and some water. Severus lifted the boy and carried him down the stairs. Draco followed him close and when they stood in the hallway they knew they needed to get Harry to the hospital quickly. They made their way to St Mungo\'s where Harry was admitted with severe malnutrition and broken ribs! Dumbledore floo-called Malfoy Manor and Narcissa intercepted the call. She rushed to the hospital while Severus went to collect Diane\'s parents and bring them to St Mungo\'s by floo!



Narcissa Malfoy wept in Draco\'s hair and told him to never ever scare her like that again. Draco tried to make her understand that he needed to get to Diane and Harry, but Harry first because he needed him! He was waving his arms around and trying to explain to her what it was that he felt the moment he decided to leave the house. Diane looked over to Draco and his mum and after getting the third degree from her parents (in which just said "It\'s magic" and her parents accepted that) she went over to Draco and his mum. She put her arms around Draco and he sagged against her and said "I need them Mum, like I need air and water. That is how much I need Diane and Harry!" Narcissa blinked and again and again it struck her; they weren\'t just friends, they were soul-bound

somehow! Narcissa took her leave with Diane\'s parents for coffee so Draco and Diane could see Harry!



Harry was lying in the hospital bed not understanding what was going on. He was hungry. The last thing he remembered was seeing his best friends, but that couldn\'t be right, could it? The door to his room opened just a tiny bit and in peeped two pairs of eyes, one silver and one baby blue. He smiled and asked if they would please come in, so Draco and Diane both rushed in the room, so glad to hear his voice and see his beautiful green eyes behind reparo\'d glasses! Both of them hugged him and at once a beautiful silver orb surrounded them. The adults that had just entered the room couldn\'t believe their eyes. Narcissa, Severus and Albus knew at once exactly what was going on . Diane\'s parents were informed that their daughter was part of \'The Triad\', a sacred bond; a bond so sacred it had the blessing of Merlin himself and anyone who would try to break it up after the golden orb had bound them togheter forever after consumation would be receive grave punishment! They didn\'t know what to think of that but Albus told them they had many years to understand and get used to the fact. Narcissa and Severus looked at each other and gave each other a watery smile. Lucius would not like this at all but they were sure he would eventually accept this bond. The Triad was like muggle royalty and very influential!

"Happy birthday Harry!" Draco and Diane chorused and gave him each a peck on the cheek. Albus Dumbledore conjured a beautiful \'Bserlori\' cake - a magical looking tasting wizarding speciality! Draco and Diane just crawled up on Harry\'s bed and sat there talking and laughing with each other like nothing would ever hurt or bother them. They cuddled, all under the supervising eyes of the indulging adults.They all knew it would be impossible to separate them from now on! Diane and Harry promised Harry his presents when they all got back to school in September.



It was obvious that Harry couldn\'t go back to the Dursley\'s, and Narcissa needed some time to tell and calm her husband! Diane\'s parents needed the time to read thick tomes of wizarding bonding laws etc... Severus Snape just couldn\'t set aside his dislike for James Potter and his famous son like that, so Albus Dumbledore did the only thing he thought was right and called the only real mother type out of the order - Molly Weasley! She was happy to take the boy in for compenstation and just told her kids to behave around him because, well, with Harry staying there they could each get a new robe with the money they made for taking care of Harry. They all welcomed him except for Ron, who was even now jealous of Harry despite knowing the abuse he had just suffered! That was the

first time Harry met GinnyWeasley, who was a nice but rather shy girl who obviously had a crush on him. Harry, being 12, didn\'t understand, and even though Dumbledore had told Molly about the triad bond she encouraged her daughters crush.



Soon it was September 1st and they all had to hurry to catch the train! Harry was glad to be leaving and though he really liked the family a lot, six kids was just too much in one house. The noise level was horrible, the meals always so hectic and Harry missed his best friends, even though they had had the opportunity to see each other three times over the last month! Harry, Draco and Diane hugged for many moments at the train station before boarding the train for what would be their second year at Hogwarts.

"Are we going to watch the movie Mum?" Lily asked, she was already cuddling in between Al and Scorpius! Draco sniggered and said "Right Mum, pop in the DVD." Harry went to get the kids some drinks, just to conceal how nervous he was about the entire film buisness. He couldn\'t understand how Draco and Diane could be so casual about this entire thing. Did they not understand how this was affecting them? Diane came in and watched her husband fidgeting about; she walked up to him and took a hold of his hands "Sweetheart, we are trying to make this as easy as we possibly can for you. Draco and I know how hard this will be on us as a family." Harry hugged her something fierce! "I love you, Diane and just so you know, I always have even when \'She-who-shall-not-be-named\'..." Diane laid her finger on his lips "I know, my love. I know no reason to get all upset right now. Lets go watch you be famous" She playfully swatted his bum and they walked hand in hand to the livingroom, the tray with drinks floating behind them. Draco looked up at them and winked at his wife, she always knew what to say . "So", Diane said "Everyone ready? I\'m pushing the play button right now"



The movie started and Harry was actually surprised with how they had captured his childhood."I would have been glad if all they had done was make me sleep there and not get presents" Draco grumbled about "filthy muggles" and he got a swat on the leg from Diane for it "Don\'t forget your in-laws are muggles, mister!" While he rubbed his leg he had to concede that point. Harry went ballistic seeing that the Weasley\'s played an important part in the film. It was obvious that somehow one of them had helped to create the story! Diane was watching it play but feeling very detached from it, as she had no part in any of it.

Movie 1

"Oh my sweet Merlin look at that" Draco exclaimed "You become friends with the Weasel baby!" Harry nearly exploded again. "They use my name without me knowing and then they have the audacity to make a mockery of my life and..." Harry kept grumbling even when Draco pecked him on the lips. When they came to the scene where Harry refused Draco\'s friendship Draco went off like a firecracker "I have never been more insulted in my life!" Draco shouted. He dropped to his knees in front of Harry and looked deeply in to his eyes "God baby, they are making me out to be this nasty piece of dung, aren\'t they?" Harry had to agree with that assessment when Lily said "Oh Papa, they made you a Death Eater in the film we saw in the cinema." Simultaneously three adults jumped

up and started shouting about bringing people to court. Albus, always the voice of reason in their family, just asked his parents if they could continue to watch and be angry at the end of the film. So after another 10 minutes of ranting about how unfair it all was Scorpius said "Well we all know that, so please Papa?" Draco only just managed to get his emotions under control and took a seat with the rest of the family. He was hugged from both sides by his spouses, the sweet whispers of "I love you" in both his ears soothed his frayed nerves.

They watched the sorting of students into houses and whenever one of them started to go on a rant about Merlin-knows-what their kids looked at them and they tried to keep silent about the unfairness of it all! Draco just kept saying "Oh sweet Merlin they replaced me with Ron Weasel and Diane with the know-it-all" Diane sighed deeply and said "Draco sweetheart, is the name calling really really necessary" Draco just looked at her as if she had lost her mind somewhere along the film and Diane just nodded at him "You\'re right, it is mandatory isn\'t it?." She received the sweetest kiss for that comment! When they came to the scene of Norbert the baby dragon Draco smiled and whispered in Harry\'s ear "Remember that baby? That cute little dragon burping everything on fire"

Harry smiled "Sure I do! You and your obsession with dragons is so cute!" Suddenly Diane jumped up and said "I wonder how they got so many details right without anyone else ever being present but us?" Harry went rigid and motioned that he would tell them later.

When they came to the scene in which Draco ratted out the \'golden trio\' in the film he sighed in resignation "They just made me the Weasel and there is nothing to be done about it. Look everything done by that foul mouthed ginger head they make me say." He gestured towards the screen "Just look!" Harry and Diane had to agree! "And oh boy, I \'m so insignificant I\'m not even there at all." Diane said. She paused the DVD for some more drinks and bathroom breaks. When she was getting the drinks in the kitchen her boys walked in and Draco caressed her bum sticking out of the fridge, she slowly emerged from the fridge and Harry just embraced her and said "You are never insignificant honey, you most likely were the biggest treath! Because lets be honest here if they wanted to make the movies right I should have been holding hands with the Weasel and the-know-it-all!" Draco just hugged her around the waste and pinched her bum "Come on, lets get this over with!" he said. When they were all seated Diane pushed the play button. The detention scene came up and to their surprise they had not switched the pairings at all so Draco and Harry were happy to see some interaction, but then they made Draco into this big wimp and Diane just lost it completely. She started howling with laughter until tears were running down her cheeks "Oh sweet Merlin!" She howled "That boy is a good actor, look at his cute face" Draco just sniffed and Harry just poured some oil to the fire by saying "Are you checking out another blond my love?" Diane\'s laughter came to an abrupt halt and turned to Harry "What?...I mean... what?" Quickly she paused the film again and practically jumped on Draco\'s lap and started cooing about how nobody could be more gorgeous then her harbear or her coco. At this point James jumped from the ground and screeched "Ok stop this right now! I do not want to hear about harbears and coco\'s ok!" Harry just laughed and pulled his son in to his lap and said "You\'d rather have us fighting, son?" "No Daddy, of course not, but please!" He gave a dramatic full body shudder and Harry relented, let him get off his lap and told his spouses to knock it off! The other kids were laughing so hard they were literally rolling around the floor laughing!

"Can you push the start button again Mum and please everyone, behave now ok!" Scorpius almost begged them! The film had paused right at the unicorn scene and the kids looked horrified by it all! The rest of the movie was watched in silence trolls, the mirror of Erised, Fluffy the three headed dog, it wasn\'t until the chess game that Albus Severus said to Scorpius "Hey they are using the moves Papa showed us last week" Draco smiled. He adored his kids and realised just how lucky he was to being able to show his sons the moves at all! When the Voldemort scene came on the couch got more crowded because Lily was crawling in Harry\'s lap and Scorpius came and hugged up to Harry\'s leg while staying on the floor. He was soon followed by Al; James was the only one staying put and at his age it was only natural, right? he was looking longingly at his Daddy and when his Papa motioned him over with a finger he scrambled to the couch and, well, found a small place! And they actually all screamed when Daddy did defeat Voldemort!
