Her Reaction
A/N: sorry for the Delay, sadly i have a job and it requires me to work.
Hermione Granger stared out of the window of her room at Grimmuld Place; it had been three weeks since her parent’s death. She hadn’t left the third floor of the house where her bedroom was; unless there was a order meeting or for meals, it wasn’t that she didn’t want to leave she just didn’t want to be treated differently by Molly Weasley.
On arriving Molly and Ron had not left her alone, after a week she snapped and yelled at them to leave her alone. Only Harry, Remus and Ginny entered her room. They where the only one who still treat her like a human and not like a fragile china doll.
Thinking back on the night her parents died upset Hermione, but there was something that confused her; Snape had led the attack but he helped her escape the Death Eaters, she didn’t know whether to love him or hate him. She remembered having to watch as three death eaters tortured and raped her parents, then Snape pushing her out of the conservatory door, whispering in her ear to trust him. The look in his eyes confused her she could have sworn there was a look of concern and pain in his eyes, even if for a moment. She saw a small backpack thrown out of her window and landing on the lawn next to them. “Miss Granger, you have to get out of here. The dark lord wants you to join his cause. He waved his hand at the house, this is just a warning. He helped her to her feet, Run! He yelled at her. She ran, and didn’t look back to see Lucius Malfoy give Snape a nod from her window.
“Hermione, are you in here? Said Harry as he opened the door. She spun around and smiled; “Yes I believe I am, am I being summoned by Molly again? Harry smirked “yes, the lady of the house demands your presence at the dinner table. If you’re not there in 5 she said she would jinx you, I’d like to see her try of course” he ended. “Okay I shall accompany you down now Mr. Potter” she teased as she walked towards him.
Dinner at the burrow was not as enjoyable as it once was, Hermione, Harry Ginny and Remus sat at the end of the table and where mostly in their own world of conversation; while the rest of the Weasleys and order members sat at the other end. A awkward silence came upon the room as Hermione entered, they all remembered the argument she and Mrs. Weasley had two weeks before. She smiled at Remus and Ginny as she sat down. “We are off to Diagon Alley tomorrow, to get all your school things and I thought i could take you into muggle London for a movie and meal, as a treat.I know you have hated being cooped up in here for so long” smiled Remus as he spread his good news. Hogwarts, Hermione missed the castle, it was now her home as the Death Eaters destroyed her other one, this was her 7th and final year and she was Head Girl and Harry was Head Boy so life would be pretty enjoyable. But she dreaded going back, she would have to face Snape and she wasn’t sure if she could do it.
After dinner Remus told Molly he was taking Harry, Hermione and Ginny to Diagon Alley and into muggle London. She was not happy about it, but reluctantly agreed in the end. She, Harry and Ginny headed up to her room after she agreed, “Personally I thought she would never let me go” said Ginny “ I thought she might say something like she doesn’t trust Mione out with us” Hermione laughed. “Watch out Ginny she might just jinx you in the hallway” sniggered Harry. They entered the room and continued joking at Mrs. Weasleys expense.
Hermione slipped into her own world as Harry and Ginny started talking about Quidditch, ever since her argument with Ron; Harry, Remus and Ginny slept in her bed with her. Back at Hogwarts she would have no one in her bed to comfort her when the nightmares began to kick in, or to talk too when she couldn’t sleep. Seeing Snape again was pressing on her mind, how would she handle it. No, the question was could she handle it. She snapped back into the real world when she saw Remus pushing a glass of fire whiskey into her hands. “Drink he said, then I think we should go to bed we will have a big day tomorrow and I don’t want anyone getting tired”. She nodded and downed the drink in one mouthful. Climbing into the king-size bed, she bid everyone a goodnight and closed her eyes waiting for sleep to come.
