Persuasion
The next day the three girls told the guys about the plans for Ron’s birthday celebrations, and surprisingly enough they all seemed very excited about the idea. The harder job would be to persuade the other two girls to come. The task fell to Ginny, as only she was friends with Luna, and she had promised to persuade Hermione to come.
Ginny found Luna at lunchtime, and decided not to beat about the bush, straight away saying, ‘Luna, we’re planning to celebrate Ron’s birthday and we wondered if you wanted to come along?’
‘Really? I’d love to come!! How are we celebrating?’
‘Well…’ started Ginny, ‘we’re planning to have a sex party.’
‘OK,’ said Luna in a nonplussed way.
‘You do know what that is, right?’
‘Oh yes of course,’ replied Luna in the same indifferent tone.
‘I had thought you’d be a bit more interested or even unsure…’
‘What is there to be unsure about a party where we celebrate our masculinity and femininity in a ritual ceremony?’
‘Unless you’re talking about one hot ceremony then I think we’re at cross-purposes here…’ said Ginny, trying to work out what Luna was talking about, ‘our party is just a group of us having sex...’
‘Oh!’ exclaimed Luna, blushing and looking shocked, ‘I didn’t know people did that, but it sounds like fun, OK!’
‘Great, we’re going to meet in the room of requirement at 10 in the evening on the 1st of March, Ron’s birthday.’
With the easier of Ginny’s two tasks of the day done, she looked for Hermione to round off her work.
Unsurprisingly, it was the library where Ginny found Hermione, reading an enormous book that looked like it was about advanced transfiguration.
‘Hi Hermione!’
‘Oh my God!’ said Hermione, dropping her book to the table which landed with a loud thump, causing Madam Pince to come round the corner and loudly shhhh them.
‘Hi Ginny, you made me jump! I was so engrossed in the book… Did you want something in particular?’
‘Yes, actually, I wanted to run an idea past you… It’s about Ron – ’
‘Don’t talk about that insensitive prick to me!’
‘Please hear me out, Hermione,’ Ginny pleaded, ‘it’s his birthday coming up and we’re planning a bit of a party and I think you should come. We’re having a sex party…’
‘A what!!??’ said Hermione rather too loudly, earning another vicious stare and a shhh from Madam Pince, ‘let me get this straight. You want me to come and lose my virginity with a load of other people watching, all of them only interested in a bit of pleasure and including the hypocritical bastard who is the current bane of my life? He might even try it on with me himself!’
‘But Hermione, this is an amazing chance to get Ron jealous!’
‘How?’
‘Tease him! Use that great body of yours to get him drooling but don’t give him what he wants.’
‘Hmmm… I wouldn’t know how though…’
‘Believe me it’s not that hard to make a guy think he has a chance, especially if you’re naked which you will be… Just give him a glance and let him have a look, he’ll lose it completely.’
‘I’m still not sure Ginny, I want to save having sex for when I’m with the right guy in the right situation…’
‘Hermione, you really need to loosen up. Sex is great, and there’ll be five guys there who want nothing more to give it to you! Plus it’s always worth having a few goes with people you’re not expecting a relationship with so that when you get to that stage you know what to do! Harry will be there, so at least there’ll be someone who’s going to care about you and respect you, and no-one’s going to force you to do anything you don’t want to.’
Hermione looked like she was going through a huge mental battle. The chance to make Ron jealous was very tempting, and even girls like Hermione have urges… ‘OK I’ll do it. When and where is this happening?’
‘Great!! 10 in the evening on March the 1st, in the room of requirement.’
That evening, Lavender and Parvati found Ginny in the Gryffindor common room. They asked, ‘Have you persuaded Luna and Hermione?’
‘Yup, everything’s all set!’
‘Great! My sister Padma heard us talking about it, so we thought be better invite her, so she’s coming too,’ said Parvati.
‘OK! I can’t wait!’
