Chapter Two
The Dursleyes were enraged. Not only did the Freakishness of Petunias' sister brought about the death of the two elder Potters, they had to also burden them with their two brats who were too young to do anything in the house, at least that old Freak promised them payment for all the trouble they'll have because of the little pests.
The old codger had also promise them that they will be left alone till the brats time to go to that freakish school, no supervision nor visits from THOSE kind of people.

Nine years since the twins were left at the doorstep of No. 4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging.
Violet watched from the hallway as her brother cleaned the living room. It upset her that all the hard chores always fell on her brother. Her only chore was to clean the kitchen and cook the Dursleyes meals, and even that was only because her aunt did not want the "Filthy Boy" in her sparkling kitchen.
Harry and Violet didn't understand their relatives. Wile Harry was treated like the scum of the earth, Violet was only punished if she broke or burnt something in the kitchen. Vernon never hit Violet however Harry got regular beatings to "Stop any freakish Business" as their uncle kept saying, whatever that meant.
The twins knew that their different treatment was meant to bring more then the obvious rivalry between them. From time to time they found Vernon looking at Violet in a manner that reminded them strongly of the way he looked at a very appetizing meal.
They knew it was Vernon who was responsible for the decision to put the twins in Dudleys' second bedroom, and that the only reason Harry was allowed to sleep there was because if he was made to sleep in the cupboard something "Freakish" would happen and in the morning they would find the two together, no mater how many locks Vernon put on both doors.
What their relatives did not know was that every so often the twins would switch places. It mostly happened when the pressure of chores and punishments became too much and Harry found himself unable to continue. Only then he would reluctantly allow his sister to take his place and only if their uncle was not home to beat him.
Violet was worried. Her brothers' back was literally black and blue between the angry red welts from their uncles' belt. And even so, her ass of a brother was too stubborn to listen to her and switch places with her so that he could use that new trick they learned not long ago which helped them heal faster.
'It's all because that walrus of an uncle of ours didn't want to get his fat ass off the couch and go out with his pig of a son to buy ice-cream' thought Violet in anger. Looking at the back of his head she WILLED him to go and to her and her brother astonishment they watched their uncle get up, take his sons' arm in a firm grip and march out the door, leaving behind a bewildered Petunia and a relived Harry and Violet.
Without a word, the twins watched their aunt run after her husband and child, sending them a quick warning to "finish their chores or else…"
Looking at one another then at the clock, Violet ushered her brother to bed, "You need to rest and treat your back. It's almost dark outside and uncle won't be able to notice if the worst of the bruising is gone".
"Are you sure? I can help you with the plates, washing them wont bother me and it will help you finish sooner. You know that that healing trick works best when we work together…"
Violet looked at her brother. She could see by the stiff way he held himself that he needed to rest and recover, but she also knew her brother was the most stubborn person she had ever met (not hard for a ten year old, but you get the point) and she was sure he will not let her work alone, no matter the fact that he could barely stay upright. Sighing, she nodded her head and after transforming into her brother, went to finish cleaning the living room.

That night, while lying on the thin mattress in Dudleys' second bedroom, the two small children bend their heads over a tattered notebook, one of the many bought for Dudley which was shortly after discarded to his second bedroom for one reason or another. In the notebook, written in a surprisingly neat handwriting, were the twins' treasures. Line after line of poems and songs with entertaining sentences they have heard and diary entrances thrown in-between.
"In a couple more months we will be able to hold our older forms fore enough time for us to get out of here, get a job and be rid of Uncles' punishments and Aunts' chores" Violet said, her voice laced with pure certainty.
They locked eyes, emerald-green with emerald-green.
"Definitely", Harry agreed.
Harry suddenly felt an uneasy feeling, but was quick to discard it as fear of being overheard by one of the Dursleyes.

A/N: second chapter up…. I hope it will start getting more interesting in the next chapter but I don’t want to skip too much of the twins' history….
