In which Narcissa and Lucius explore Malfoy maxims

03/06/08 - I have three chapters written, and a pretty rough idea of where this is heading. If all goes to plan, there should be smut in a couple of chapters\' time! Sp

Chapter Two: In which Narcissa and Lucius explore Malfoy maxims.

“Are you just expecting me to sit idly by and wait whilst you solve your … ahem … problem?” Narcissa enquired, sounding irritated one evening.

She was wearing a practically see-through elf made negligee in a gossamer fabric. She had settled on the arm of his chair and had been running her hands along his thighs, her intention obvious.

Lucius, jaw working in anger at Severus, had pushed her hands away from his flaccid length and begun to stride about the room. Christmas had been and gone, and the decorations that had so vexed him during that time had mercifully been removed. He glowered as he considered his response to her goading.

Of course, she had known almost at once that there was a change in her husband, but it had taken him nearly two chaste weeks before he had blurted the truth out. She had stared, not believing him, and yet, almost relieved as she had wondered if his sudden lack of interest in her had been due to an affair.

But now, it was nearly a month later. Narcissa had not had sex in over six weeks and she was, to put it bluntly, and in a way she never would, horny. Thus the clothing and the seduction, and finally, the question.

“I may just have to look elsewhere, and perhaps explain the reasons why.” she said sweetly, her smile full of venom. She put one beautifully manicured nail to her lips. “Lucius can’t get it up,” she said musingly. “I wonder if the Prophet would like to know?”

Lucius’ face had set in a grim line. “I would have thought,” he began coldly, “given your own indiscretions at times, that you would realise that you do owe me something in the way of loyalty.”

She glowered at him. It was true that in their past she had had affairs, whilst he had always been the doting husband, but she had believed that that had been put behind them. She said so.

“Quis quid manus exploratum intricacies benefactus sic.” he quoted lightly.

Narcissa pulled her lips back from her teeth. “Stop being pretentious. There is no one here to impress and I’m not awed that you studied Wizard Latin.” she waited for the translation.

“Retain all things, explore their intricacies, and exploit them to your best advantage.” Lucius explained, reminding her of a Malfoy maxim, a mocking smile on his lips.

She smiled at him. “Be careful which Malfoy ideals you remind me of,” she warned, smiling herself. “But, to return to my original query: Do you expect me to just wait?”

Lucius paced around the study, irritated that his thoughts had been interrupted. “I have already set in motion a number of schemes which will hopefully bear fruit.”

She raised an eyebrow. “Just hurry up. I cannot wait forever for you to function properly again!”

Her husband fumed at the slur on his manliness. “I can still satisfy you,” he snarled.

She smiled and, uncurling like a cat, rose from the arm of the chair and wrapped herself around him. “Prove it,” she almost purred.

He once again pushed her away. “Go to one of your many boyfriends.” he snapped. “I have other work to attend to.”

She left the room, her eyes dark with anger.

“Retain all things, explore their intricacies,” she quoted quietly as she moved to her chambers, “and exploit them to your best advantage.”
