Chapter Two
________________________________________________________________________
Hermione just sat there with a shocked look on her face. "Did you hear me?" Cameron asked?
"Hogwarts?" Hermione asked.
Cameron blinked a few times and said, "Yes, Hermione, Hogwarts. What is it?"
"How should I know?" she took a bite of ice cream.
"Because this came for you today." he held up an envelope addressed to Hermione with the Hogwarts seal on it.
Hermione dropped her spoon and grabbed the letter out of Cameron's hand. She jumped from the table and ran into the bathroom locking her in. She opened the letter and read it about a dozen times. It said:
Dear Miss Hermione Granger,
It is with great pleasure that I wish to invite you to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry ten year reunion. It is this upcoming Saturday. Hope to see you there!
She didn't know what to do. She wanted to go, but then again, she didn't want to see Ron. Her main thought at the moment though was how she was going to explain things to Cameron. She took a deep breath and left the bathroom. Hermione saw Cameron washing the dishes and walked into the kitchen. "Hi." she said. He ignored her. "I think we should talk.”
He turned and looked at her. "I think we should too." He said. He turned off the water and dried his hands then led Hermione into the living room. "What's going on, Hermione?" He asked. He watched as she looked at the floor and thought for a moment and then she spoke.
“Cameron, there’s something about me that I’ve never told you. Something important that I should have told you, but I was too afraid to.” She paused and looked at him.
“Go on.” He said.
Hermione took a deep breath and said, “I’m a witch.”
“That’s not funny, Hermione. Just tell me the truth.” Cameron was getting annoyed now.
Hermione stood up and walked to their bedroom. She went into the closet and opened a box she hadn’t been in, in years. She took out her wand and walked back into the living room to face a very angry looking Cameron. She walked around the room and turned off all the lights then when it was pitch black she said, “Lumos.” Cameron jumped at the sight of light coming from the stick Hermione was holding.
“What is that?” he asked sounding a little scared.
“It’s my wand. I wasn’t lying to you. I am a witch. Hogwarts is the school I went to; Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The letter they sent me was telling me about a reunion for next weekend.” She turned the lights back on and put her wand down.
Cameron was having a very difficult time with this. He picked up his jacket off of his favorite chair and put it on. “I need to go get some air and digest this.”
“Want me to come with you?” Hermione asked.
“No. I need to be alone to think.” He told her.
She sighed and said, “I understand. Babe, please don’t be mad at me. I wanted to tell you, but I didn’t know how. I haven’t done magic in about ten years. I left that world after I graduated from Hogwarts, and started working at the bookstore. That’s when I met you. I love you. Please don’t hate me.”
He didn’t say anything. He just left the apartment leaving a very emotional Hermione standing alone in the middle of the living room. She sat on the couch and started to cry. After a few hours of waiting for Cameron to come home she became very sleepy and went into the bedroom. She changed into a nightgown and got into bed where she fell asleep until the next morning.

She awoke the next morning to find the bed still empty. Hermione got out of bed walked to the living room. Cameron was asleep on the couch. She walked over to him and kissed him awake. “Good morning.” She said.
He yawned and sat up. “Good morning.” He said back.
“How come you never came to bed?” Hermione asked him.
“I was too tired when I got home. The couch was closer.” He smiled. “I don’t hate you, Hermione.”
She smiled too. “You don’t.”
He held her hand. “No. I’m a little upset that you never told me, but I’ll get over it. So, are you going to that reunion?”
She shrugged. “I’m not sure. I want to, but then I’d have to face the reason why I left that world to begin with.” And before he had the chance to ask, Hermione put up her hand and said, “But I don’t want to talk about it.”
Cameron pulled her closer to him and kissed her. When the kiss ended he looked into her eyes and said, “Make love to me, Hermione.”
She smiled and glanced at the clock. “I can’t, work.”
He flopped back down on the couch. “And here I thought I was never in my life going to hate books, I guess I was wrong.” Hermione giggled and hit him with a couch pillow. He retaliated by tickling her until she couldn’t breath. Then, with one final kiss, she went to get ready for work.
She had a very hard time concentrating on her job for the next few days. All she could think about was the upcoming event at Hogwarts. She was happy that she would get to see Harry and her old professors; maybe even Ginny as well, but what was killing her was the fact she’d have to see Ron. Friday she took the day out of work and spent the day packing. She was so preoccupied with her thoughts she never heard Cameron walk up behind her. She jumped when he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed the back of her neck.
“What time are you leaving?” he asked.
“About 5 am.” She answered.
He kissed her neck some more. “I wish I could go with you.”
She tired not to let the moans that were forming in the back of her throat out as she said, “You could if you really wanted to.”
He moved his hands up to cup her breasts. “You know work won’t let me.”
It had been a long time since Cameron touched her like he was, and as much as Hermione liked it she needed him to stop. She pulled away from him and continued packing. “I’m sorry, but I just need to get this done and get to bed.”
The following morning Hermione awoke at 3 am. She showered, ate breakfast and, after much begging from him, she made love to Cameron. At 5 she grabbed her bags and left the apartment. She walked the five minute walk to where the letter told her, her portkey would be, and once she found it she took a deep breath and held onto the teapot. The next thing she knew she was standing just outside the gates to Hogwarts. She took a deep breath and opened them.
