Let's talk
Harry was sitting on his black leather sofa trying to get ahold of Ginny, but the phone would ring once then go to voicemail. She wanted nothing to do with him and she was making it quite clear. After what seemed to be his hundredth try, he threw the phone across the room. It hit the bookcase and landed next to the picture of Ginny and him in the park.
He walked over, grabbed the picture frame from the shelf, and sat back down. The figures began to move around as they laughed then kissed. His grip around the frame tightened as all the wonderful memories they shared came flowing back to him. Just then the front door flew open and Ron came prancing in with some random chick around his arm. Harry quickly got himself together and put the picture under the cushion.
"Hey what up man," Harry said as he got up to retrieve his phone. "Never came home last night did you?"
Ron laughed, "Nah man we were out all night bar hopping and shit." He kissed the girl on the forehead and lightly shoved her into his room. He closed the door and walked over to Harry. "Where were you man? I had this really hot chick for ya, but you never showed."
"I just didn\'t feel like it last night. Sorry man." Harry sat down and turned the TV on.
"Bullshit man. You\'re always up for having a good time. That\'s what we do," Ron sat down in the chair across from Harry. "Were men right? We go out and have a good time. We drink and we fuck hot chicks because we can. It\'s in our blood."
"Damn Ron. Am I not allowed to have one night off? Maybe I\'m over the going out everynight and partying all the time stage. Maybe I want more in my life," he got up and headed for his room.
"What the fuck? I thought that\'s what you loved to do. Just the other night you were out with me and the guys and now you\'re like this. I don\'t get it Harry."
Harry just grunted, shrugged, and kept walking to his room. Rom let out a soft chuckle then screamed across the apartment, "She\'s never going to take you back Harry. You know that right?"
Harry stopped dead in his tracks and turned around. "What did you say?"
Ron got up and walked over to his bedroom door. "Yeah you heard me. You fucked up man and it\'s a little too late to start kissing ass." He turned and disappeared into his room.
Harry stood there with fire in his eyes. He could feel the steam rising off his head. He turned and punched the wall as hard as he could leaving a large hole.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Ron was finished fooling around with the girl, he left his room and headed over to talk to Harry. "Damn I really pissed him off," he said passing the hole in the wall. He stood at Harry\'s door and wondered whether or not he should knock. Just as his knuckles touched the door, it swung open making Ron jump back.
"Get out of my way."
"Harry calm down."
"No man. Move!"
"Come on. Let\'s talk this out."
"Were not fucking girls Ron and I really don\'t want to talk to you, so move or I\'m going to punch you in the
face."
"What the fuck did I do to you? Just because I said the truth to your face doesn\'t mean you can get all pissy on me. Damn."
Just as Harry was about to punch Ron, his phone started playing Ginny\'s ringtone. "Saved by the bell Ron. I guess this time you\'re lucky." He walked to the kitchen and answered it.
"Ginny?"
"Hello Harry."
"I\'m sorry about this morning."
"Yeah me too," she paused. "I think we should talk."
"Yeah? Okay. I\'ll buy lunch. When is your break?"
"I\'m leaving early today, so meet me at that little bistro place over on twenty-third and eighth in an hour. Good?"
"Yeah. I\'ll be there and I\'ll pick a table out for us."
"Alright. See you then."
"Yeah. Bye." He closed his phone and smiled from ear to ear. Maybe things would change afterall..

Harry sat at the table for two outside on the patio. He had brushed his hair, put on the nicest button up, and even brought a single red rose. Every five seconds he checked the time and for a missed call. Right as the clocked chimed one o\'clock, Ginny walked through the doors.
To Harry time stood still. She looked gorgeous in her black suit and shiney stilettos. Her red hair gently blew in the soft breeze and he could smell the savory scent of her perfume. She looked better than she ever had when they were together. She walked over to him and smiled. He quickly jumped up to pull her chair out.
"Thank you," she said as she sat down.
"You," he checked her out some more. "You look wonderful Ginny," he said as he stuggled to sit back down.
"Thank you. Alot has changed since we," she paused. "Since we broke up."
"Well at least this has done you good."
"I guess. I really don\'t have a life anymore," she laughed. "Yeah just work work work all the time. But it\'s all paying off now. I got promoted to VP today."
"That\'s great! Well not the having no life part, but the job. I\'m happy for you."
"Thank you. That means alot."
"Do you still go out and what not with Hermione? I see her all the time out at the bars."
"So you\'re still going out everyday with Ron?"
"Uh. No I didn\'t say that. I just went out the other night and.."
"You don\'t have to explain yourself Harry. You\'re a big boy. You\'re allowed to go out and do whatever you want." The waitress came and took their order.
There was an awkward pause for a minute or two then Harry decided to speak up first. "I miss you Ginny."
"I\'m sure you do. Those long cold nights."
"I don\'t mean just that way. I miss us and just being with you."
"Don\'t get all mushy and lovey on me now Harry. You should have seen it coming."
"I\'m sorry Ginny. For everything I ever did to you. The way I treated you especially. You never deserved any of it."
"Why did you have to do it Harry? We were great, the world at our finger tips and you just had to.." the waitress interrupted her and gave them their food.
"I\'m sorry I really am. I regret every minute and wish I could go back and change it."
"Were not kids anymore Harry. There are consequences for everything, and this is what you chose. You Harry, not me. I had plans for us. I had the whole future planned out, but not anymore."
"We could still be something."
"Friends maybe. Nothing more. I just couldn\'t." They looked at each other and knew that was the end of the conversation. They finished the lunch in slience, paid the bill, and walked out to Ginny\'s car. She opened the door then turned to face Harry.
"Well thank you Harry. The food was good," she smiled. "Maybe we can do this again."
"I hope so. I really do." He took a step closer to her. He wanted so bad to grab and kiss her, but he faught the urge. Instead he hugged her and whispered, "I love you."
She said nothing in return. She just smiled, got in her car and drove off into the sun.
