Happy Valentine's Day

“Happy Valentine’s Day, Harry Potter.” A voice whispered softly into his ear. Opening his eyes it took a moment before he could focus without his glasses.
“What?”
“Happy Valentine’s Day…” A mass of dark hair shrouded what he just knew was her smiling. “Here’s your gift from me!” She leaned down, kissed his mouth, and pulled back.
“Oh come on!” He sat up wiping at him mouth feeling his lips tingle where she had touched him. It has been one month already since his imaginary friend returned by his side and he just knew he had completely lost his mind if she reappeared. He often spoke with her and the nurses paid him no mind really. He had grown used to the chill that ran through him if she touched him at all, but really… “A Kiss, Liz?”
“What, it wasn’t a real kiss. It’s a stage kiss!” She protested.
“What the hell is a stage kiss?!?” He lowered his voice from yelling at her.
“A stage kiss is a lips closed kiss. A real one involves tongue. I would like to do it someday, Snog Harry Potter. Oh all the people who would really hate me.” Liz, as Harry had come to call her, deciding it suited her best randomly, laughed at the absurd idea.
“As if you really could, you’re imaginary.” Harry reached over to grab his glasses. Once with them on he finally was able to see… a tree beside him in red and pink. “What is that?”
“Have you never seen a card tree, Harry?” Liz giggled, upon closer inspection the red and pink splotches were millions of small Valentine’s Day cards. “They all say the same thing; get better soon, keeping amorous thoughts of you… etc…”
“You’ve read my cards?”
“I’ve not! Who do you think it was who arranged this tree?” She looked indignant. “I’ve arranged them by category while you were sleeping.”
“You did this? How?”
“I’m imaginary… I do what I please and no one can tell me to stop! Well except harm people, can’t really harm people can I?” She shook her head.
“Anything from my friends?” He asked almost hopeful, missing the slightly depressed look from the young woman. With a sigh, she pulled out several cards from the tree.
“From Ron and Hemione, Ginny, The Weasley family, Oh! This one looks decorative… Not from a friend, but look it’s pretty!” She shoved an envelope at him It looked like an ordinary Valentine’s Day Card, what Liz must’ve dubbed as “decorative” was probably the fact that someone had written the wizard-hero’s name in gold across the middle and the edges lined with hearts of gold as a border.
“Who is it from?”
“I don’t know. Told you I didn’t read your cards!” Liz snapped searching further through the cards for his friends. About mid search, Harry snorted. “What?”
“Some weird girl sent it…” Harry smirked.
“Girl? What’d she put?”
“Want…” Harry looked at the card, obviously reading the card. “Want is a word I first knew only for selfish childish reasons. I want the cake after dinner, I want the newest robes out there, and I want the newest toy. As time passed I learned the definition of the word need.” The humor of the card died rather quickly obviously thinking it a joke by the first lines alone. “I need to fit in, I need to be accepted, I need to be popular, and I need to be the best. However, as a little more time passed I learned a new word. Desire…”
“Should I cover my virgin ears?” Liz sat back placing one last card on the small in table and looked at the dark haired male who only adjusted his glasses, a slow blush creeping onto his face.
“As if you’re a virgin.” Harry glanced at Liz. “Your humor is just as lewd as anyone else I know.”
“True, true… However, you must not mind it. I still have it, Imaginator.” She wagged her finger at him
“Desire…” He went back on reading. “Desire is a word I discovered by accident. I looked once into those dazzling green eyes of yours and my heart stopped for that instant. Later on I caught a glimpse of you after a Quidditch match, once more catching your gaze I had to quickly turn away in fear of being spotted, but my eyes were not my own as they continued to stare, watch the sweat roll down your face, cheek flushed from the excitement and adrenaline…”
“Wow…” Liz whispered leaning in to the boy.
“I watched one single bead of sweat roll down your neck and into the collar of your shirt and an unbidden thought crossed my mind. How far will that single bead roll? Will I ever get to trace the path that sweat drop had followed. Here’s to hoping, and to your wellness. Happy Valentine’s Day”
“Does it say from whom?”
“No… it just ends” Harry looked at the envelope and back in the card…no name.
“Well, whoever it is has got it bad for you; and sure is brave… I don’t think I ever could’ve sent a letter like that, even if you were in this place.”
“Yeah…” Harry opened a card from his friends setting aside the admiration valentine. “Hemione is pregnant?!?!”
*~*~*~
“Where the hell did I put it?” One Draco Malfoy was searching his room frantically his wand zipping and pushing things all over the place. “ACCIO Valentine!” He waved his wand. “Accio! Accio! ACCIO!!!” He was ready to pull his hair out of his head.
“Draco Malfoy what are you doing?” He damn near jumped out of his skin and turned to look at the young woman who he was now living with.
“Lada, what the hell are you doing just walking into my room?!?”
“I’m not in your room.” Lada looked at her feet, just behind the threshold, and then back at Draco. “And the door was open.” She shook her head.
“Don’t be cute.” He glared his eyes at her and she smirked at him finally taking step into the bedroom. With a wave of the wand, the mess cleared in no time and she stretched out on his bed. Short spiky black hair, brown eyes hidden behind plastic black frame glassed. Chocolate skin exposed almost to the point of inappropriate. “Off!” He looked at her.
“Listen, you. I don’t think you’ve found another place to live after being thrown on your ass for coming out of the closet…”
“You don’t have to be a diva…” He rolled his eyes.
“You being gay made me the Diva I am… Such a waste of man…” She shook her head. “Accio, box…” She waved her wand once more and a plain brown box scampered across the floor. “A lil something to wear when you finally seduce Harry Potter.” She smirked at him.
“Harry Potter? HAH! Who would waste their time trying to get involved with that mud blood loving, likes to play hero, and went mad just because some of his friends died git!”
“You.” She responded and he opened the box. “Hello, Name’s Lada…Goddess of love and fertility.”
“You’re no goddess…”
“No, but I’m playing one in my next performance.”
“You got the part then?”
“No… I got the leading role.” She smiled. “You’ll be there opening night?”
“Of course…” He began to rip away the tissue paper in his box from her, a bit more than curious of what she could possibly buy him to add to his fantasies of the boy who lived.
“I sent out all your Valentine cards by the way.” It was then he froze and she smirked.
“All of them?” He whipped around at her and her smirk instantly vanished to a look of mild puzzlement at his reaction.
“Yeah, all the ones you had on your desk.” She watched the boy turn to a sickly pale.
“You didn’t happen to see one with other particular embellishments?”
“One with cute golden hearts around the border?” She smiled at the memory of that particular Valentine.
“You didn’t…”
“I thought the hearts was a nice touch! Here I thought you were strung out over Harry Potter like crazy, when did you find a new lover?” She leaned forward to look at the young man who just stared at her.
“Are you mad? That was for Harry-fucking-Potter!!!!” His head dropped into his hands, long blonde locks shifting over his shoulder at the movement.
“Oh god, Drake, I’m SO SORRY!” Lada covered her mouth with her hands and stared back at him.
“LACIELLE!!!!” He looked at her. “Sorry doesn’t bring back my letter!”
“Don’t go calling me by my first name just because you didn’t hide your love note in the proper place!” She brought her foot down irritated with the emotional blonde-haired male.
“Just get out!” His voice softened obviously tinged with his embarrassment.
“Fine! I’ve got to start my workday anyway… My Charges will be looking for me.” Lada got up and paused at his doorway. “Want me to try and bribe Hemrick to see if he could pull the letter back?”
“It’s too late…” He grumbled.
“I really am sorry, Drake.”
“Go on, young witches and wizards out there will be searching for their Imaginary friends.” He waved his hand not even looking up at her. “Besides…. I never signed my name.”
“The silver lining, eh?” She smiled and closed his bedroom door. “And scene.” She whispered thoroughly pleased with herself and rushed off to her room to start her morning. After all being whatever a kid imagines one to be… what could be a better job for an up and coming actress?
“A good day indeed” She looked into the silver jewel she needed for her job. A silver stone with seven facets, each facet displaying one of her charges.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Harry Potter!” She tapped her head looking into the central most face in her stone. A good day indeed.
