“Dad” My called out slapping me on the face
“W…What happened” Harry stuttered looking up to find his kids all looking over him
“MMMUUUMMMM he is back with us” yelled Ron “Dad you fainted on us”
“Ronald Severus Potter do not yell inside the house, it may be your birthday but it does not give you the right to yell” Katie said as she rushed to her husbands side “Harry are you alright dear, it was only a couple of owls from the woods looking for food, we shooed them away”
Before Harry could reply a sound came from the window
TAP TAP TAP
“Mum they are back again, should I shoo them away again” Theo asked his mother.
“Yes please ----“Katie started when Harry interrupted her
“Let them in Theo they have mail for the twins” Harry said while leaning on Katie for support to get up.
“What do you mean they have mail for the twins, who would send mail by owls anyway” Katie laughed
The only reply she got from Harry was a barley audible mumble “Hogwarts”
Harry walked over to the owls and took the letters from them.
“sorry guys” Harry said to the owls as he stroked their backs “if Hedwig is still around can you send her here with out anyone noticing” Harry asked the owls, with a cheerful nip on his fingers by one of the owls they flew away.
“Harry would you please explain to me and the rest of your family what exactly is going on, what is Hogwarts, why are there owls delivering mail to us and what is a Hedwig.” Katie growled and the rest of them mumbling there own shocked statements
Harry walked over to Theo and whispered in his ear, Theo nodded and gathered his brothers and sisters and left the room with out a word.
“Harry…” Gerard asked, with the simple word held so many Questions in it.
“I think we need to talk about my past” Harry sighed walking out if the room and into the living room.
Katie and Gerard gasped at that statement, Harry had always refused to talk about his past, and with a quick look at each other they followed him out of the room.
“Harry what is going on” Katie asked, sitting on the opposite couch to Harry.
When Harry looked up Gerard and Katie could see the pain in those emerald green eyes they had fallen in love with. Gerard rushed over to harry's side.
“Harry what ever it is please tell us” Gerard whispered into his ear
“What I am about to tell you is going to shocking that you may think that this is a complete joke, but you have to believe me, I didn’t think this would ever happen, I was hoping for squibs for kids, but knowing by luck that could never happen…. FUCKEN VOLDEMORT, I HATE HIM, HE RUINED MY LIFE, I thought I would be able to stay in hiding for ever, I didn’t think I would have to go back to them… to him… to her.” Half way through harry’s speech he had gotten up and started pacing the floor, he had started to shout but then finished in nothing but a mumble.
“Harry what are you talking about” Gerard asked as if he was afraid of the answer
“Magic” was all Harry said
“Magic” Katie stated “but magic isn’t real”
“Its real sweetheart, when I was eleven received a letter stating that I was a wizard and that I had been accepted into Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry” Harry said quietly
“but Harry…magic… it cant be real, its not like the world is full of little elves, werewolf’s, hags, witches and wizards and all things in between” Gerard said looking disbelieved
“Don’t you get it, all of it is real, elves, werewolf’s, hags and witches and wizards and everything in between, if I show you a couple of things do you promise to flip out” Harry asked hesintly
Gerard and Katie both nodded slowly not really knowing what to do
“Accio wand” Harry stated firmly
It was a full minute before the doors to the living room flew open and a wand flying through.
Katie screeched and jump of her chair in shock, where as Gerard when ghostly white.
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HARRY JAMES POTTER” Katie yelled
“Please don’t yell Katie, I am trying to tell you the truth, I am a wizard, and because of it, so are our children” Harry said “Gerard are you ok” Harry asked when he looked over to Gerard.
“I knew it, I knew they lied, when I was 13, we where staying at my cousins house for her birthday and an own swooped in and dropped a letter on her lap, she opened it and said that she was accepted into a special school for magical people, all of us kids but her and the parents where practically kicked out the room, we tried to listen through but all we herd was “witch” and hour later the parents all came out and said that her parents had played a joke on her, the letter was an acceptance letter for a exclusive boarding school. The last I saw my cousin she told me that there was a war going on where she was living and that she may not come back…. That was 16 years ago.” By the end of Gerard’s statement he had tears sliding down his cheeks.
“Oh baby” Harry cried, hugging him “If she was a muggle born she was properly on the light side with me, I know most of the people who died….what was her name”
“You know Harry, the strange thing is that when you named our children it really hit a memory” Harry realized what he was about to say and went pale
“My cousin’s name was Hermione Granger”
