Prolog: Discovery! Part 2!
Hermione struggled with all her might against Lucius’s grip but because Lucius was stronger than her, he held fast. Some how, Lucius didn’t know why, but his heart clinched for this girl in his arms. Hermione struggled until the dam burst and she began to sob uncontrollably. Albus looked from Remus to Severus to Sirius. The three men were at a loss at what to do, but Lucius was already on it. He talked soothingly to her and rocked Hermione back and forth.
“It’s ok Granger, shhh, let it out.” Lucius said soothingly. Lucius continued to whisper in Hermione’s ear.
Albus smiled at the scene before him, which added more of a twinkle to his eyes. He knew at that moment that Lucius and Hermione were soul mates. He knew that both Lucius and Hermione needed love in their lives after all the heartache they went through. When Hermione began to calm down, Albus decided it would be Lucius that would explain to her about her family.
“Granger are you calm now?” Lucius asked Hermione in a soothing voice as he gently rubbed her arms.
“Yes, I guess so, I feel so confused.” Hermione said sniffing quietly as she gently wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. Lucius saw it and instantly reached into his pocket and pulled out a black silk handkerchief and handed it to her. Hermione took it and smiled a sad smile of thanks. Lucius nodded his head in a polite manor.
“Well, I think for this conversation, it should be discussed in a more quiet setting.” Albus said with twinkling eyes. He led a very confused Lucius and Hermione to the Slytherin Sitting Room, which none of the other Slytherins or the other houses for that matter, knew about.
Both the older Slytherin and younger Gryffindor stared at the room in awe. Lucius sat in one of the wing-backed chairs with an amused expression as he watched Hermione stare at the colors around the room. Once Hermione was seated, they talked about her parents. Lucius explained to Hermione that her real name was: Hermione Juliana Evanshire-Granger. She had Pureblood from both sides of her family. For the first time in her life, Hermione was confused. Lucius chuckled a little.
“This all sounds so familiar, if only I could remember it.” Hermione said as she scratched her head in confusion.
“Granger, your mother came from an ancient Pureblood family much like your father. Your mother was a Morgan, where as your father was a descendant from a powerful Druid family.” Lucius explained. It was then that Lucius noticed something without using Legilimency. Hermione had a memory block on her mind.
Lucius took Hermione back to the Headmasters office and he explained to everyone present what was wrong with her. Albus nodded his head in agreement. It took made sense why Hermione couldn’t remember being a Pureblood, and then of course there were certain talents that she had that were being suppressed, because her parents put a block on her in case Voldormort captured her. Albus did a simple test and removed the block.
Hermione snapped out of her reverie, it seemed so bitter sweet. She had her memories back and she noticed certain talents were starting to surface but her parents weren’t there with her to share it. As Hermione walked towards her truck, she remembered the first spell her mother taught her. The first broom she ever got from her father on her third birthday. It just seemed so surreal, that she was alive and her parents were dead. Hermione couldn’t come to terms with it all.
Hermione looked up at the barrier and saw her friends with their parents, and then the tears started to fall. She watched Harry with Sirius and Remus, Ron and Ginny with Molly and Arthur Weasley, and Draco with Lucius and Severus. It hurt that her parents weren’t there for her. Draco had been animated conversation with Harry on Quidditch, when he looked up he saw Hermione, he smiled. Draco’s smile faded when he saw Hermione crying, he tapped his father’s shoulder.
“What is it son?” Lucius asked. He was concerned about the look on his son’s face. Lucius knew that his son was loyal to his friends.
“Father, it’s Hermione!” Draco said as he pointed towards a sobbing Hermione.
