Chapter Two
AN: Thanks to those of you who have reviewed this story!
acidqueen- Yes, a definite coninquidinkle! I will see what I can do to throw in more characters in later chapters. I have quite a bit of leeway since I don’t even have a detailed outline.
haahaafunnystuff – I figured this chapter was almost ready to post so why wait! Here you go.
SeductionsClaim- Thanks! I went back and fixed my mistake. I don’t know what I was thinking.
Chapter Two
Title: Prince of the Land of …Stench? Poor Sirius!
Date Started: 03-2006
Status: Ongoing
Rating: currently 17+
Pairings: hr/sb, hr/rl, sb/rl, sb/hr/rl
Crossover: Harry Potter/Labyrinth
Disclaimer: I don’t own anything remotely related to Harry Potter. If I did…well, it certainly wouldn’t be considered a children’s book, that’s for sure.
I don’t own the Labyrinth either. *sigh of despair*
Summary: Hermione is wished away to a far off land. Fortunately she meets someone she thought was lost. Now all they have to do is find a way home before the Goblin King decides to give a new title to everyone’s favorite Grim look-a-like.
Hermione was sitting in a small courtyard near the southern part of the castle. Statues of odd looking creatures as well as humans littered the paving stone. One in particular caught her eye. It was a few feet to the right of the bench she was sitting on and facing the opposite direction.
As wonderful and spectacular as this place was it just wasn’t home. She missed the Weasleys and Severus and Minerva. She missed Remus. Hermione sighed and got p from the bench. If there were any clues to help her get back home they would be in the Library.
Her first reaction after learning that Ron had given up on her had been to loose herself in a book. The Goblin King had shown her to the front gates of the castle and summoned a goblin to show her to her rooms. Hermione opted to head straight for the library. A situation like this deserved some research.
***A few hours later***
“What are you reading?”
The voice startled Hermione who looked up from her book to see an older woman with graying hair and a kind smile standing a few feet away from her. She frowned as the woman walked over to the table. How would she ever finish her research if she kept getting interrupted?
“This particular book is on theories about multidimensional travel. I am trying to figure out the different ways beings are able to pass through from the Aboveground to here.”
“There aren’t many who come here who are not wished away.” The lady gave a supportive hum. “The last one was an absolutely gorgeous man who came through some sort of portal a few years ago. He really is handsome once you get past the glowers and snarky comments. He just wants to get back to his home. But, since he wasn’t wished away, there is no way to trace where he came from to send him back. The man is a real help around here, though. He spends his time fixing anything mechanical that the goblins break. The man has a habit of taking things apart and putting it back together again with a few minor adjustments. Why, just last year we had a large robot that was a part of the security on the third level gate go a little haywire. It had controls inside and everything but there were a few flaws, usually short circuiting right when we need it to defend the castle. Sirius came up with the idea to…”
“I’m sorry. What was the man’s name again?”
“Sirius. Sirius Black.”
Dun dun dunnnn!
AN: Short, I know. But the first chapter was kinda bland and I wanted to add something when I posted it but it just wouldn’t work itself out. Don’t worry, I have three pages of Chapter Three done so far.
