Finally Got Him

Nuria walked through the barriers of 9 and 10 in Kings Cross, her mother right behind her. Her long brown hair blew out of her face when the steam of the train came in view. She was happy for more then one reason. The first was seeing her friends and surprisingly enough going back to school and the second was the best reason of all: she was going to see her boyfriend, Fred Weasley.

‘Alright Ria, remember to be safe.’

‘Yes mum.’ Nuria said evenly listening to her mother’s speech that she gets every single year.

‘Remember to put your studies first.’

‘Yes mum.’

‘Remember to listen to your teachers and take good notes in class.’

‘Yes mum.’

‘I hope this year will be the year that you will not get any detentions.’

‘That’s doubtful.’ Nuria muttered to herself.

‘What did you say young lady?’

‘I said I’ll try mother.’ Nuria said sarcastically sincere.

‘And lastly, just because you’re dating a boy from your house doesn’t mean you should come home pregnant.’ Nuria’s jaw dropped. ‘Here are some contraceptive potion recipes and here are the charms.’ Her mother gave a few pieces of parchment with the ingredients for the potion and the instructions for the charms.

‘Mum!’ Nuria said in shock.

‘Honey, I know what it feels like to be 16.’ Her mother started to get red in the cheeks. ‘I’ve done things in my 5th to 7th year at Hogwarts that were fun but I was safe and you sh-‘

‘Mum, I don’t need to know what you did when you were in school.’ Nuria started to push her trolley towards the train still in complete shock. ‘I’ll see you at the holidays mum. I love you and I’ll miss you.’ She kissed and hugged her mother good-bye before her mother could say anything else.

‘I love you and I’ll miss you too. Just don’t forget to take the con-‘

‘Mum, I know. Please don’t yell it out for the whole school to hear.’ And with that the doors started to close. Nuria waved bye to her mother from one of the windows and went to search for her red-head.

The train started to move slowly when she finally found the compartment with Fred, George and Lee. ‘What are you guys up to and may I join in?’ Nuria said when she opened the sliding doors. Fred’s face lit up making room for her to sit down and across from her was George and Lee with both happy faces. ‘What are you guys up to anyways?’ She said suspiciously.

‘Why do you think we’re up to something?’ George innocently asked.

‘Because you are always up to something.’ Nuria said crossing her legs and holding Fred’s hand that was over her shoulder.

‘Well, Fred and George have some spiffing news here.’ Lee said with a bigger smile.

‘Spiffing?’ Nuria looked at them both wondering why they would use the word ‘spiffing’.

‘Yes love, spiffing.’ Fred said. ‘You see George and I have very spiffing news that you’re not going to believe.’

‘Then spit it out.’

‘Well, we’ve gotten a shop at Diagon Alley. Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes will be up and running when we graduate.’ Fred and George looked proudly at each other. Nuria screamed with joy hugging George first then grabbing a hold of Fred and started to kiss him.

‘Oi! You two get a room.’ Lee said laughing.

‘We do have a room my good friend.’ Fred said breaking the kiss. ‘However, you’re just in it.’ Lee just shook his head laughing.

‘How did you guys get the galleons? I mean this was in the works for ages and all but I know your mum found those order papers, so there is no way you can get the galleons that fast.’ Nuria asked suspiciously. ‘Are you guys selling yourselves again?’ She said with a little smirk.

George dramatically put his hand on his chest, ‘of course we haven’t, how dare you say that.’ Lee was practically on the floor laughing.

‘However, that is a good idea.’ Fred said thoughtfully. ‘Think about it, two strapping, good-looking men, like us, can get more galleons then what we would get with the joke shop alone. Maybe we should do that on the side. We get paid to have fun, what do you say George?’ Nuria slapped her boyfriend on the arm.

‘Fred Weasley, how dare you say that?’ Nuria said in a shocking voice yet having a smile on her face.

‘Don’t worry love; I’ll only sell myself to you.’ Fred said with a charming voice while Lee pretended he was throwing up until he saw a girl with dark braids going down her back walking past their door.

‘I’ll be off boys a certain ‘Angel’ is probably looking for me.’ Lee said checking himself out on the window.

‘I doubt that.’ George said.

‘You’ll wait and see mate, I’ll make her go out with me by Halloween.’ Lee got up and opened the sliding door. ‘Hey there my sexy ‘Angel’, I have a question for you.’

‘Jordan, if you call me Angel again I swear I will hex you so bad you’re children will feel it.’ Angelina shouted back.

‘So, does that mean you’ll have my babies?’

‘I have to watch this. I’ll see you guys and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.’ George gave a wink and left the compartment to meet up with Lee and Angelina.

‘So, how were your holidays?’ Fred asked happy that they were finally alone.

‘It was ok, mum and I went to the States for a family reunion on dad’s side. That was eventful.’ She said with a sneer. Her mum and dad had a divorce a few months after she was born. He didn’t like the fact that her mother was a witch and that Nuria would become one also. He moved back to the States and sometimes tried to come into contact with Nuria but she really didn’t want to. Her mother insisted that they went to the family reunion just to be polite.

‘But mum, dad’s just an arse. Why would we want to see him and his family?’ Nuria said in disgust.

‘Because he is still your father and watch your language.’ Cailean said to her daughter. ‘Your father isn’t all that bad Ria. He’s a sweet man but we just fought a lot.’

‘What did you fight about?’ Nuria asked while biting into an apple.

‘Just dumb things we could think of.’ Cailean said off-handedly. ‘We had our good times but we would butt head more then ever. Then he would always complain that he wanted to go back to the States but I always wanted to stay here.’ She looked at her daughter with a sad face. ‘I did love your father and sometimes I think I still do but we are better off not together.’

‘Aw mum, ok we’ll go and see dad and his family.’ She said smiling to her mother. ‘But it doesn’t mean I’m going to like.’

‘That’s all I ask dear.’ Cailean smiled at her daughter and left the kitchen.

‘What happened at the reunion?’ Fred asked.

‘Nothing to eventful. Except for the fact that half of my cousins tried to get me into bed.’ Nuria said with disgust.

‘What?’ Fred laughed so hard he had to hold his sides.

‘Oh it’s great that you think that it’s funny.’ Nuria said glaring at her boyfriend. ‘It was disgusting. They wouldn’t stop hitting on me. When I said I was related to them it seemed that they thought I wanted them to try harder.’ Fred was still laughing and Nuria was starting to get fed up. ‘Well, you wouldn’t think it was so funny when one of my older cousins tried to pull me into a room.’

‘What?’ Fred wasn’t laughing anymore.

‘Don’t worry, he didn’t do anything.’ Nuria said shaking a bit. ‘When he pulled me in, the lights were on, so I just kicked him where it would hurt and ran like hell.’ Nuria noticed Fred turning red and clenching his fists. ‘Fred, don’t worry everything is fine. I told mum when I ran out of the room and we left as soon as we could.’

‘Why didn’t you tell me in any of the letters?’ Fred asked looking at her.

‘Fred, I just couldn’t. It took me awhile to get over it. I know nothing bad happened but it still scared me.’ She looked down at her hands. ‘I just didn’t want to think about it anymore.’

‘Alright, we’ll talk about something else.’ Fred said giving her a small smile.

‘Thank you.’ Nuria smiled back putting her head on his shoulder.
