I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Beautiful you
Betà’d by that very special person, called Vittani.
Thanks for all your patience, hun!
Harry ran to the infirmary holding Draco close to his chest.
He didn't even think about the feelings of worry and the protective affection he felt.
He just knew Draco was in trouble and Harry wanted to take care of him.
“Madam Pomfrey? Come quickly...Draco fainted” Harry called out when he entered.
Harry lay Draco on a bed and sat in the chair next to it. He was worried sick. * How could this be happening? Had something Draco ate at breakfast not agreed with him? Did someone put a spell on him? Was he hexed or maybe cursed? *
A million scenarios went through Harry's head and he grew more scared by the minute. At that moment Draco started to turn a bit grey in the face.
It was as if he wasn't getting enough oxygen and Harry got even more scared. * Oh Gods, please...” * Harry thought fearfully.
“Madame Pomfrey? Please hurry...” Harry called throughout the ward, his eyes glued to Draco.
Suddenly Draco stirred a bit and Harry looked on in shock,
as Draco started to float off of the bed, right in front of him.
Draco's hair became longer, his torso seemed to expand, his limbs lengthened and his hands and feet grew a bit bigger. His beautiful face contorted as if in great pain.
Madam Pomfrey came to the bed and shoved Harry to the side in her urgency.
“Out of the way, Mister Potter!” Pomfrey said in her brusque no nonsense way, while running some tests with her wand.
“Oh my...this is rather unexpected.” She tsk-ed and looked up at Harry.
“Mister Potter? Please go and get Professor Snape and the headmaster.
Hurry...there is not much time” Pomfrey said.
Although he didn't want to leave Draco, Harry flew out of the infirmary like a bat out of hell. While running down the stairs to get to the dungeons, Harry spotted Seamus.
“Seamus? Go get the headmaster. Tell him Draco is in the infirmary and he is needed right away. GO!” Harry all but screeched.
If Seamus was wondering about Harry calling Malfoy by his given name, he didn't comment on it. He just dashed up the stairs, in search of Professor Dumbledore.
Harry reached the dungeons and knocked on the door of the classroom, hoping the professor wasn't in his study or worse, out of the castle.
After what seemed like an eternity, but were probably only a few seconds, he heard the voice of the potions master call “Enter”.
Harry went in, slightly panting from running so fast.
“What is so important that you almost knocked down the door, Potter?” Snape asked irritably because of the intrusion.
“It...it's Draco, sir. He i-is in the infirmary. He collapsed in the hallway and...and...” Harry stuttered.
Snape blanched, went to his fireplace and threw some floo powder in.
“The infirmary” he said in a clear voice and made a gesture for Harry to follow him.
They arrived at the same time the headmaster came through the doors.
“Ah Severus my boy, I see you were called too. Good, very good.
Hello Harry, are you enjoying your holiday thus far?” Dumbledore asked, his eyes twinkling brightly.
“Actually I am not, headmaster.” Harry said a bit annoyed. “Not today anyway”
“Ah yes, the unfortunate happenings of today. Well Harry, there is no need to worry. All will be well soon enough” the headmaster said and walked over to the bed Draco was floating above.
Harry walked towards the bed and stopped dead in his tracks. He couldn't believe his eyes. There, floating above the bed, he saw the most beautiful creature he had ever set his eyes on. It was Draco, but in a sense it wasn't.
If Harry had to take a guess, he would say Draco now was about six feet and 6 inches long. His hair looked like spun gold and was about waist length.
His skin had a golden hue to it.
Draco's body structure had become more muscular, but not beefy, more athletic.
The biggest change though, was Draco's face.
Where he used to have a heart shaped face with a pointy chin and almost feminine lips, he now had a chiselled jaw and his mouth seemed to have a determined line to it. His nose was a bit more pronounced, but not overly so and his eyes were wider somehow.
The final change Harry noticed, startled him.
What happened to Draco’s ears? They were slender and pointy.
Harry felt very strange about this new Draco.
He didn't have time to think on it though, because Draco began do descend.
The grown-ups came into action right away.
Madam Pomfrey 'stupefied' Draco, Professor Dumbledore started chanting and waving his hands over Dracon in an intricate pattern and Professor Snape was forcing a crimson coloured potion down Draco's throat. They waited for five minutes and when professor Dumbledore stopped his chanting and casting, Madam Pomfrey lifted the spell.
Draco woke up and they backed away from the bed.
Without a word he sat up, scanned the room and saw Harry standing there.
Draco growled and moved so fast, nobody even saw him move.
He stood before Harry, looked in his eyes, sniffed his neck and calmed down instantly.
“Draco? Are you alright?” Harry asked hesitantly.
He didn't know what to make of Draco's actions.
“I am now, my morningdew.” said Draco in a deep baritone. Harry could have swooned at that rich and powerful sound.
*What happened to his voice?* Harry thought.
*Hold on...'my morningdew'?* Was the next question in Harry's head. *And why am I all shaky and giggly?*
Someone had better start explaining what the bloody hell was happening here.
But he couldn't voice his questions, for Draco was staring so intently at him, it was quite unnerving.
“The question is...are you alright Harry?”
There it was again...that voice. The voice that made his legs quiver and his heart go three hundred beats per minute. It was too much. First all that stuff happening in the dorm, then the row, followed by the conversation in the main hall and Ron's antics. Now Draco's transformation? It was really too much to take in and Harry passed out.
He never hit the floor though.
Draco sensed what was coming and caught Harry before he could fall.
Harry came to in the infirmary a few minutes later.
He opened his eyes and tried to sit up, but felt a strong hand hold him down.
“Don't try to sit up yet. Take it slow.” Draco said.
“What happened?” Harry asked groggily.
Then it all came back to him in a rush and his head began to spin as his memory was assaulted with images.
“Draco? You changed. I saw you change. Why did that happen? What are you? How...?”
“Harry...Harry! One question at a time, please.” Draco chuckled amused.
Harry cheeks tinted a bright red and he cast his eyes down, embarrassed his own actions and the feelings stirring inside of him.
Just listening to Draco made Harry's stomach flutter and looking at him made Harry want to jump the beauty in front of him, but Harry didn't understand how that was possible.
He wasn't even gay, at least he didn't think so and he and Draco just called a truce this morning.
Shouldn't he feel more hesitant about this?
Maybe even a bit anxious or angry?
To say Harry was confused would be an understatement.
Draco saw the confusion on the Gryffindor's face and sighed.
He was afraid this would happen.
“Harry? What do you know about the Elven race?” Draco asked cautiously.
*******************************
Seeing that the boys were both fine again, the headmaster went out of the infirmary.
He had to find Minerva to tell her what had happened. Albus Dumbledore was well aware of the fondness of his partner for the children of his school.
If she were to be kept in the dark about the going ons with them, there would be hell to pay.
Hell hath no fury like a McGonagall scorned.
The headmaster might be a lot of things, but he was no fool.
Especially not where it came to that woman.
He had been on the receiving end of her brunt several times and he wasn’t going to let that happen again soon.
He chuckled when he thought about their last quarrel.
Minerva found out the headmaster had been keeping a secret from her.
What secret, she hadn’t known.
But the Transfigurations Professor figured that any secret was a bad one, between lovers.
She had been dropping hints, tried to lace his tea with veritaserum (which Snape found out about in time) and even resorted to threathening him with no bed-action, if he didn’t ‘fess up’.
She had been more paranoid than Alastair Moody, the former auror with a safety-complex.
When he finally told her, she could have kicked herself.
She scolded him, because he shouldn’t have said anything.
Then she scolded him that it would have been better, if he hadn’t had any secrets at all.
He could still hear her swear at him in her heavy Scottish dialect.
Albus had been planning a romantic trip for the two of them to a beautiful little island, in the Caribbean.
It was a birthday present and it was thoroughly ruined.
He still had taken her there and they had had a marvelous time.
They didn’t even had to wear ‘ordinairy’ clothes.
There was a wizarding village on the island under the ‘Vicus Celarius Charm’, so it could not be seen by muggles.
He thought about her outburst about having no secrets.
Albus Dumbledore? Having no secrets? As if!
He was still sniggering when he reached his office.
He held back his grin and took on a serious look on his face.
It would not do to face his witch with a silly smile, while he had to deliver his news.
Thanks for all your patience, hun!
