Shifty Changes(H/S/D)

Chapter two

The day had arrived for Loki and Sheena to leave their home. Their Lord and the King were both there to send them off. The clan was made up of different tribes based on the last transformation. Altogether there were five tribes (Felines, Canines, Reptiles, Birds, and the last one was assorted) and each with their own appointed Lord. The King governed them all and oversaw disputes between tribes. It wasn’t perfect but it worked well enough. King Havea and Lord Ze’ev had been like fathers to Loki and he hated to leave them. With one last hug goodbye Sheena wrapped her arm around her cub before both of them faded away, only to reappear many miles away, in a broken down old house, they used as a traveling spot.

They didn’t have to worry about muggles seeing them and they were very close to London. They had countless houses all over, most near the bigger cities. They had Shimmied to get there, which was a lot like apparating but with less noise. Aparating had not yet been invented when they had left society. Hundred or so years later a feline Shifter had left to find a mate and returned with news of some wizard who could move from one place to another with only the use of magic. This got quite a few Shifter interested and soon they too had learned to apperate, except it wasn’t quite the same. While aperating suddenly moved a person from one spot to another, making a loud noise as air was pushed away or filling in, Shimmying didn’t. You gradually left and arrived giving the space around you time to adjust, looking very much like water disturbed by a stone.

Sheena gave Loki an encouraging smile and headed out the squeaky front door and down the stairs into the neighborhood. Soon they would arrive at Diagon Alley and rent a room. They had decided to spend two weeks in England before moving on. After England they would go to Italy, then Spain, then Ireland, then Egypt, then Japan, then China, and lastly America. If they failed to find mates, they would come back home and start again next year with all new locations. Sheena had been on this trip when she found Harry, and since adopting him, only went one other time, when he was ten and even then she had cut it short, spending only spending a few days in each area. This was her chance to find a mate of her own and perhaps give her son some brothers or sisters to spoil. With her flowing auburn hair that reached to her lower back, beautiful sea-green eyes and pouty pink lips she had had many offers but none had felt right, they were all too weak. She needed a dominant that could protect her and any children they might have, not some wimp she could beat up in only a few seconds.

Loki followed his mother since she knew where they were headed. Loki had gained Sheena’s pouty lips. From his father he had receive his unruly raven hair that reached to his mid-back and was pulled into a low ponytail to help contain it and his eyes were an emerald green, courtesy of his birthmother, with hints of amber when the wolf in him surfaced.

He was excited about leaving the safety of his home but at the same time he was nervous. Everyone he had met in his life had been a Shifter or a mate of a Shifter, now he was going to meet wizards and muggles that were nothing like other Shifters. Closing his eye he let his nose guide him. There were so many scents that he had never came across before. He was so engrossed with them that he didn’t notice Sheena had stopped and ran right into her.

“Damn it Loki, Watch it, will ya,” Sheena growled.

“Sorry Mum, but everything smells so different around here then it did back home,” Loki replied guiltily.

“Never mind that, we’re here,”

Harry wasn’t too sure where here was but it looked pretty worn down, no matter where it was. They were standing in front of a small cricket pub called, The Leaky Cauldron. Sheena ignored Loki skeptical look and pulled him into the pub and headed over to the bartender.

“Hello Tom, it’s been a while,” Sheena said as the got closer.

“Yes it has Sheena, will you be staying long this time,” Tom asked used to the Shifter customs as many Shifters used his inn as a stopping point.

“Yep two whole weeks so we need two rooms please.”

“Very good, it will be 20 galleons and sickles, and your rooms will be number 5 and 6 and are across the hall from each other.”

Sheena paid Tom and soon both were headed to their rooms, “Loki why don’t we settle in tonight and tomorrow we will begin the search.”

“Sound good to me, but do you think we can get something to eat soon, I’m half starved.”

Sheena rolled her eyes, “Long as you’re only half starved, you’ll live. Besides you are always hungry you can wait a few hours to unpack.”

Loki grinned, “Kay.”

Loki was just about to enter his room when Sheena grabbed his ear, “You, my dear child, agreed way too quickly for someone half starved. What do you have?”

“Nothing,” “Liar”

Sheena pulled Loki’s ear a tad bit higher, “Damn it mom, it hurts! Okay, Okay, Uncle Ze’ev passed me some of Diana’s brownies before she left.”

Letting go of his ear, Sheena glared, “And I bet you were planning on eating them now and ruining your dinner, weren’t you?”

Loki blushed, “Maybe.”

“Shame, Shame, eating all the brownies and not offering me some, I’m hurt,” Sheena pouted.

“Do you want some, mom?”

“Of’ Corse Diana’s brownies are the best,” stated the now drooling female.

“Alright I’ll just unpack and bring them over,” Loki said turning back to the door.

“Oh and Loki,”

“Yes mom?” turning back once again.

“Don’t cuss,” with that Sheena smacked him hard on the back of the head and entered her room.

“Ouch,” Loki exclaimed before muttering to himself, “Damn it to hell, that bloody well hurt.”

As Loki shut his door he heard Sheena reply, “I heard that!”

“Shit!”

For Pairings I am thinking of Sheena/Remus and For Harry it’s between Draco, or Severus, possibly Voldy but only if you guys want otherwise it will between Dray or Sev. If you think of another pairing let me know since nothings concrete yet.
