Introductions
Harry never got the chance to voice his concern, for at that moment they arrived at the Mansion and were greeted by the same House-Elf that had taken Harry's belongings for him. "Welcome home Lord Raven, you and Mr. Potter are the last to arrive," the House-Elf squeaked.
"Thank you Athos," Raven said nodding to the House-Elf. "Come on Harry, dinner should about ready," Raven smiled as a pair of large oak doors baring the Ravenclaw Crest, swung open allowing them to enter the Mansion.
Harry's eyes just about jumped out of their sockets. Never in all his life had he seen anything as elegant and elaborate as the inside of Ravenclaw Mansion. Everywhere he looked he saw the deep rich natural colors and textures, of wood and stone blend flawlessly with the various shades of Ravenclaw's House Colors. The various shades of blues trimmed in grays and silver were indeed awe inspiring, and words could not even begin to describe just how perfectly every piece of furniture or decoration either blended or complimented each other.
However, before Harry could take in the full beauty of a true masterpiece of interior design done to absolute perfection, there was an ear-splitting scream from the dining room followed shortly by the thunderous roar of laughter. Harry noticed Raven shaking his head as he tried not to burst out laughing. "She should know better by now." Harry heard him chuckle under his breath as Raven walked towards the dining room.
Following him, Harry's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets again as he took in the sight before them. Mrs. Weasley was bent over the knee of a House-Elf sitting in a straight back chair. Several members of the Order, the entire Weasley clan (minus Percy of course), Hermione and her parents, along with a few people he didn't know, were surrounding a thrashing and screaming Mrs. Weasley, as she was being spanked by the House-Elf, like she was a naughty misbehaved child and not the mother of seven. Five of whom where grown and nearly all of whom were currently laughing at their mother's humiliation.
A few brave souls attempted to try and help her only to be held back by the other House-Elves that had formed a protective circle around the pair. All of the House-Elves were dressed much like Athos in that they wore clean and freshly pressed clothing. The Males wore slacks and dress shirts, while the Females wore blouses and skirts.
"Let me go, I'm a grown woman not some child. Unhand me at once you foul creature, let me go right now," Mrs. Weasley yelled at the top of her lungs.
A woman that Harry didn't recognize walked over towards them and the House-Elves stepped aside and let her pass. She was dressed in fine robes and looked a lot like the portraits of Rowena Ravenclaw that Harry had seen, both in the entrance hall of the Mansion and in Hogwarts. She spoke gently but clearly to the House-Elf spanking Mrs. Weasley. "Gueniver please let Mrs. Weasley go. I am sure that she is sorry for breaking your rules and has learned her lesson."
Gueniver did not even look up but continued to spank Mrs. Weasley as she replied, "Gueniver is sorry Mistress Relina, but she can not let Master Charlie's mother go just yet. Master Charlie's mother broke the rules Master Charlie's mother must be spanked. Lord Raven's grandfather made Gueniver Head House-Elf. Lord Raven entrusted Gueniver with the running of the Mansion in his absence. Gueniver will not betray their trust, no, Gueniver will not. Master Charlie's mother broke the rules and Master Charlie's mother will be spanked. Please forgive Gueniver Mistress Relina, but Gueniver needs to finish spanking Master Charlie's mother, and finish supervising the dinner preparations before Lord Raven's return."
Raven smiled at the loyalty of his Head House-Elf and former nanny. He had inherited her loyalty along with that of all that of the creatures on the island when he inherited the title of Lord of Ravenclaw. Also, while he has only just returned after living in America for nearly ten years, it did feel good to be home again. With a soft pop, that was easily drowned out by the loud laughter filling the room, he Apperated behind Gueniver and caught her wrist in mid-strike. "That will be enough Gueniver. I agree with my aunt, Mrs. Weasley has been punished enough for one evening."
Gueniver nodded and released Mrs. Weasley, who immediately ran out of the room followed by her husband. Raven turned to the others and said, "Okay show's over, let's all sit down for dinner." Everyone took their seats as the House-Elves begin serving the meal.
Over dinner, Raven introduced everyone to his friend Sarah and her daughter Angela. Raven explained how he met Sarah and Angela in America, after he left Hogwarts and spent six months living as a muggle. He told them how after learning that Angela was a witch; he revealed to them that he was a wizard. Skipping over many details, he told them how he moved them to another city, lived with them and found work in a clinic run by a witch that treated both muggles and magic folk. Apparently, there was a situation, which forced him to leave his job and later find work with the local Aurors.
Raven also introduced his Aunt Relina, who they all saw trying to help Mrs. Weasley and her husband Marcus and their daughter Renalda or Rene, as she preferred to be called. The teens, except for Harry, were surprised to find out that Marcus was Professor McGonagall's nephew. They spent the remainder of dinner getting to know each other.
Raven noticed that Hermione wouldn't look at him and only spoke to him when answering a question. "Is there some reason you're avoiding me Hermione?" He finally asked.
"No Lord Raven." She answered simply, though the use of his title told him different.
"Let me guess, it's the House-Elves." She looked up at him in an instant as he continued. "Professor Dumbledore told me about your crusade for House-Elf rights. While I agree that many witches and wizards are guilty of abusing their House-Elves, I'm sure that you've noticed that all of mine are fully clothed. Well, except for the fact that they hate shoes and prefer to go around bare foot."
"Well... ah... I had noticed that. But I thought that presenting clothes to a House-Elf meant that they were freed." She said, sounding a bit confused.
"It does and they are," he said with a smile. "The Ravenclaw family hasn't owned a House-Elf in well over 700 years. All of ours work for us, and receive one galleon and one day off a month," he chuckled a bit before continuing. "I tried to offer them a raise in my last year at Hogwarts, and got a thorough spanking for insulting them."
After hearing this Hermione smiled and spoke to him at lengths about his library and he invited her to explore it more at her leisure. By the time they had all turned in for the night, Raven told the four teens to meet him and Charlie in the back yard after breakfast for a tour of the grounds.
"Thank you Athos," Raven said nodding to the House-Elf. "Come on Harry, dinner should about ready," Raven smiled as a pair of large oak doors baring the Ravenclaw Crest, swung open allowing them to enter the Mansion.
