Albus Dumbledore was in heaven right now. Minerva was busy ‘tending to his needs’ and he was sucking on a lemon drop. Since Voldermort’s downfall he was able to now enjoy moments like these instead of having to run off and rescue this person or help that person. He may be Gryffindor, but damn it he did have his selfish moments too!

And as if the Fates were conspiring against him, his floo roared to life and a very upset Poppy head came into view. “Albus? Albus! Circe’s pigs Albus where the devil are you?!” she screamed. Annoyed and frustrated Albus called out, “Poppy I’m here. Whatever it is can wait till morning!” He tried to recline back and have Minerva continue sucking his cock when Poppy cried out again, “Albus you don’t understand! It’s Miss Granger! There’s something terribly wrong with her! Severus nor myself can seem to fix it!” At this Minerva’s head shot up as did his. Concern now overshadowed him. If neither Poppy nor Severus could help Hermione then something was indeed wrong. “We’ll be right down Poppy!” he called out as he and Minerva quickly redressed and headed for the floo.

Severus had apparated just outside of Hogwarts’ gates. He unwarded the gates and warded them again after he entered. He ran full speed toward the castle with a very limp Hermione Grange in his arms. Her breathing was shallow and her were still pure white. Suddenly she convulsed in his arms causing him to fall down and drop her. She began to seizure violently and foam was now coming out of her mouth. Severus held her down to try and calm her, but it was almost futile. Hermione began to scream again and thrash about violently. Whatever it was that was affecting her was apparently very close to killing. And just as suddenly as she started she stopped, her body stiffened. Her eyes were still wide open, unmoving. Severus checked her vitals and she appeared to still be alive but just barely.

Picking her up again he continued running until he made it to the infirmary. He noticed a few students there but paid no mind to them. He took her to a cot at the end of the aisle and placed her down. He drew the curtains and placed a silencing spell just in case she began to scream again. He then looked down at her and examined her. He had never before seen anything like this. It was as if she was bewitched and was under a variation of the Crucio curse. He passed his wand over her several times and could find no spell that could have been cast upon her. Working quickly he went over to Poppy’s office to find her asleep in her chair with an issue of PlayWizard on her lap. He cleared his throat and immediately woke up.

“Oh! Severus. What’s wrong? Coming to check my stores at this hour?” she smiled. Severus was such a dedicated man. “No Poppy. Its something much wore than that. I’m afraid there’s something wrong with Miss Granger,” he replied, looking back at the end cot. Puzzled she said, “But Miss Granger hasn’t been a student her for almost 5 years! Wha…” she was cut off by Severus gabbing her arm and dragging her down to where Hermione was. When he drew back the curtain she was screaming again. He quickly shut the curtain behind him and Poppy as she stared in horror at her favorite student. “Severus, what’s going on? What’s wrong with her?” she asked. He shook his head and replied; “I could find no spell on her. I was hoping you would be able to tell me.”

Poppy looked back over to the screaming witch you again began thrashing about. She immediately conjured ropes and bounded Hermione to the bed so she wouldn’t hurt herself. She immediately set to work on trying to figure out exactly what had caused her to behave in such a way.

She tried spell after spell and potion after potion, but nothing seemed to work. After 2 hours Poppy began to break down. “I have to contact Albus. He might know what to do. Oh gods above!” she cried out through tears and raced into her office to contact the Headmaster. Severus was alone with her again. She had calmed down some in the past 2 hours. She stopped screaming, but now she just kind of looked around the room, breathing erratically and moaning.

Suddenly Albus and Minerva appeared by his side. Albus ran to Hermione’s side and began to examine her with his own methods. When he got to her mouth, Hermione suddenly lashed out and bit down causing Albus to scream. He tried in vain to remove his hand from her mouth but she had an iron jawed grip and would not give up so easily. It took Severus to pry her jaws opening and risking his fingers to remove Albus’ hand.

Poppy immediately set to work healing his hand to make sure whatever Hermione had didn’t transpire to him. “Severus, tell me exactly what happened,” Albus said through ragged breathe. Severus began to retell the night’s events and how he found her outside of well-known establishment of debauchery. “But what in the world would Hermione be doing in such a place?” Minerva questioned. It was then that everyone looked down and really began to take into account of what she looked like. Her hair was shorter, about chin length, with black and red highlights running through it. Her clothes hardly left anything to the imagination, and she also had tattoos in several places that would make a Salazar Slytherin blush.

“I believe my dear, we will only know that question when Miss Granger comes to,” replied Albus looking down sadly at his former star pupil. “You mean IF she wakes up,” replied Severus rather darkly. To be honest, Severus was in fact extremely worried. He’d always had a soft spot for the little chit. He’d even go as far as to say he admired her for her tenacity and intellect. He only hoped whatever was affecting her didn’t turn her into a mush head like her two former friends.

“I believe time will only tell Severus. For now I would like you to stay with Miss Granger to make sure if there’s any change in her behavior,” said stated. Severus would’ve protested but the look in Albus’ eyes left no room for argument. So he grabbed the nearest chair and sat down. Poppy and Minerva began walking back to Poppy’s office while Albus stayed with Severus.

“I know that look in your eyes my boy. But fear not, I have a feeling she will come out of this and all will be explained,” he said to Severus in a soothing voice. He scoffed and replied, “If you mean to insinuate that I’m concerned about her then I’m sorry but you’ve got your wand twisted the wrong way.” Albus only nodded and left Severus to watch Hermione. He secretly smiled though and thought maybe it was OK for the Fates to intervene just this one last time. Besides good things can come from bad situations.
