Chapter 2: Hermione’s Slave

            Those words
rang like a gunshot, or something close to it. Severus knew that he was condemning
himself, but he needed to take responsibility for what he had done. Unlike his
stinking father who was now everyone’s responsibility. He waited for someone to
speak, finally the wizard spoke.

   “Well, Severus, it
seems like lying is going to save you from burning,” he said.

Severus stared at him. He couldn’t believe that he thought
he was lying.

   “I’m not lying,”
Severus snapped. “I’m a werewolf and I can show you the bite mark.”

Hem hem

Everyone turned to see Umbridge sitting there.

   “I’m sorry,
Severus,” she said in her girlish voice. “But I thought I heard that you are a
werewolf, we’ll we’ve got a program to take care of werewolves. Since you were
a werewolf in You-know-who’s circle, then you qualify for our little program.”

Severus stared at her, what was she talking about?

   “The program puts
you into the service of a witch,” she went on. “Since you rapped Miss Granger
then you have to be in service to her. I think it’s a fair program to keep you
from spreading attention seeking lies.”

Severus went red.

   “How dare you speak
to me about attention seeking lies,” Severus snapped. “You pulled that line at
Hogwarts and your not pulling that line with me. As for this program I think
that you had something to do with this. You’re a sick witch! You were sick when
you were the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, making Potter write lines
in his own blood. God, your sicker then Voldemort and that’s saying something.
So how long did it take that toad-face of yours to think this one up?

Several people clapped when Severus said this, because
everyone thought that Umbridge had a face of a toad. But Umbridge wasn’t
pleased.

   “I’m going to take
care of you, Snape,” she hissed.

Severus snorted with laughter.

   “Oh like you
planned on taking care of Potter, how touching.”

Umbridge slammed her quill down and pulled out her wand.

   “I’m going to kill
you, Snape; I’m going to kill you.”

   “That’s enough!”
snapped the Minister of Magic. “Severus Snape do you agree to go into this
program and follow the rules.”

   “Of course,”
Severus said.

   “And do everything
that Miss Granger tells you, including helping to take down Voldemort.”

Severus’s face twisted into a very cold smile.

   “Trust me,
Minister, it would be my pleasure,” he said.

   “Then it’s decided,”
he said.

And Severus knew it was over, at least, for now.

            Hermione
left the courtroom, Severus trailing behind. She hated the idea that she had to
tend with Severus, but at least it was better then seeing him suffer. She had
decided that she was going to have him be forced to bring Voldemort down and
then he would be locked up in Azkaban once the Dark Lord was finished.

   “Miss Granger, I
can’t walk as fast as you can,” Severus said.

   “That’s not my
problem,” Hermione snapped. “You’re a murderer and as soon as your worthiness
is finished, I’m going to make sure that you’re sent back to Azkaban.”

Severus sighed. He knew this was the rape talking.

   “Miss Granger,
please stop,” he begged.

But Hermione didn’t listen, she just continued on and
Severus soon fell behind.

            Severus
panted, the pain shooting up his leg and making her body shake. No one had
treated his wounds since he had gotten bitten and he feared that gangrene had
settled in. The sweat was pouring down his face and then he blacked out. When
he woke up he found himself in the Hospital Wing at Hogwarts. How he had gotten
here he didn’t know.

   “Well, I see that you’re
finally awake,” Madam Pomfrey hissed.

He was shaking all over.

   “What’s going on
with me?”

   “That’s for me to
know and for you to find out,” she snapped.

And then she left.

            Over the
next several hours he started to feel sweaty and cold and then burning hot. He
screamed out in pain as it only got worse. However, no Matron came to help him.
He was alone with his pain and he knew that he was suffering for what he had
done. Yet, he thought that the Matron would put aside her anger in the face of
a sick person.

   “So what can I do
for you?” Headmistress McGonagall asked Katie Bell.

She had been surprised that the young Healer had shown up.

   “Well, an alarm
went off in Poppy’s ward telling us that someone had been hurt and the stupid
thing won’t stop,” she said. “That’s why I need to find out why Poppy isn’t
taking care of her duties.”

   “Very well,” the
Headmistress said. “Let me know how it went.”

   “Thanks.”

And she got up and left.

            When Katie
entered the wing she turned the alarm off with a wave of her wand and then went
to see what was going on. Katie gasped when she saw that Severus was in the
wing. He was moaning in pain and at once her training kicked in. She rushed
over and started to figure out what was going on. A half an hour later she knew
what was going on, he had sever infection, but that shouldn’t be causing him
pain. At least not the kind of pain that was normal. She placed him in a strong
sleep and then went to tell McGonagall.
