Chapter 2
Daddy, Look What I Found
Chapter two
Written By: MorningStar
“Daddy, look what I found,” said Damien. Severus ushered the two boys inside before shutting the door. “He was walking in the park. I found him on my way home, can I keep him?” asked the younger boy, knowing full well that his father wasn’t going to allow him to keep a human being.
“Damien, go to your room,” Severus told his son, pinching the bridge of his nose, willing the on coming headache away. The young boy picked up the two kittens and took his leave up the stairway.
The moment this son was out of sight, Severus motioned to the black sofa before the fireplace and told Harry to have a seat. “Would you like anything?” Severus asked his guest, in hopes to get him to relax a bit.
“No thank you, professor,” Harry said as he starred into the empty fireplace. It was mid July and the weather was perfect for a swim or a long walk outside. “I suppose you’re wondering what I was doing at the park, why I came home with your son?”
Severus pondered Harry’s question for a moment before answering, “You could say that. Though I was more curious as to why you left your relatives house in the first place?”
Harry bowed his head, he knew that Snape would ask that and he wasn’t sure that he wanted to tell him; after all this was the man who disliked him, who treated him with hatred and contempt ever since he had heard Harry Potter’s name. Time ticked by slowly, knowing that he wasn’t going to get a straight forward answer out of the golden boy, Severus broke the silence.
“You do know that if you wish for my assistance in this matter, you’re going to have to tell me why you’re here.” Severus took a seat to the left of Harry, in his favorite leather chair, waiting for a response.
Harry looked up but avoided eye contact with his professor, “Sir, I…umm….I had to leave,” he said, tears welling up in his magnificent green eyes. “Please, don’t make me go back,” the boy hero pleaded with his potions master.
Severus was taken back by the fearful sound emitting from the boy’s voice, a sound that he was clearly trying to hide to no avail. Not knowing what to do or say, Severus did the only thing that came to mind, he told Harry Potter that he could stay with him and his son for the remainder of the summer; Maybe by then he could find out what was wrong with the-boy-who-lived.
