Expecting Ginny

After Ginny had changed into some suitable clothes Arthur left a note explaining the he had taken Ginny out for a day of Father/Daughter bonding. He often did outings with the boys but hadn't done that much with Ginny. That would make Molly happy.

The trip by floo had been hard on Ginny. As soon as she stepped out of the flames and into St. Mungo's she felt sick to her stomach. She sighed knowing that it was bound to be that hard throughout her whole pregnancy. That thought of made her stomach turn even more.

Arthur led Ginny to the front desk and explained the situation the med-witch at the front desk. Ginny couldn't even look at the woman as her father explained what was going on. Even though Ginny wasn't looking at she could feel the woman was looking at her.

“I'd say that is a memory block of some sort,” the woman said after a minute of thinking. “Perhaps someone in the Spell Damage department could help you. Yes, that is bound to be the right way dear. I'll take you up.”

The woman lay a friendly hand on Ginny's shoulder as she walked out from behind the desk. Ginny forced a smile. She knew that this woman was just trying to be nice to her but at that moment she just wanted to disappear.

“Thank you,” Arthur said as the medwitch began to led the way to the fourth floor.

Ginny kept her head down the whole way. Not even her father's hand on her shoulder could comfort her. Half of her didn't want to know how she had lost her virginity. A little voice inside of was telling her it was something she didn't want to re-live. Yet, every time she opened her mouth to tell her father that she wanted to go home no words would come out.

Once they reached the fourth floor the medwitch that had led them there walked over to the first medwitch she saw. They talked in whispers and then the new medwitch came over.

“Hello Ginny,” she said offering her hand. “My name is Miss Summer but you can call me May. I know you must be scared darling but I'm not going to do anything to hurt you.”

Ginny just smiled slightly and nodded. May looked back at the medwitch that had led Arthur and Ginny up and nodded.

“Now if you would follow me,” May said and started walking down the hallway.

Something about this medwitch relaxed Ginny and she walked a little faster. Arthur was glad to see his little girl wasn't so uptight. He put an arm around her and hugged her as they walked. He knew that this was going to be rough enough without her being tense and uptight.

May led them into a patient room that was empty and instructed Ginny to sit on the bed. Ginny did so taking her time as she did it. She was worried about what the nurse was going to ask her or do to her.

“Mr. Weasley,” the medwitch said turning to look at Arthur. “I'm going to do a full body examine so maybe it would be better if you left.”

Arthur looked at Ginny as if to ask her permission to leave. Ginny wasn't comfortable with being left alone but she wasn't comfortable with her father being in the room while she was being examined either.

“Alright,” he said patting his daughter's arm. “I'll be right outside the door if you need me.”

Ginny just nodded. Arthur felt horrible about leaving but he didn't want to make his daughter feel uncomfortable. He walked out into the hallway and dropped down into a chair.

Arthur didn't know how long he sat in the hallway waiting for word on Ginny. He tried to read the magazines but it didn't work. He couldn't focus on any of the articles in them. In the end he had taken to pacing the hallway, sitting for a while, and pacing the hallway.

By the time the door to the room open Arthur thought he was going to go nuts. May walked out and she had a very concerned look on her face.

“Did you find out what is going on?” he asked.

“I did,” she nodded. “I really don't know how to tell you see this so I'll just tell you. Your daughter was raped very violently. I couldn't find a memory block that was put on her by the rapist. My guess is that Ginny blocked out the rape herself. She can't remember a thing.”

Arthur shook his head slowly. This couldn't be happening. Someone had raped his child and she was pregnant because of it.

“Can...Can you tell who it was?” He asked finally. “Can you tell who the father is?”

“I've already done the charm and I know who the father is,” May explained. “But I really don't think you want to know.”

“I have to know,” Arthur said. “I have to know who did this to her.”

“Snape,” She said simply. “The name that appeared was Severus Snape.”
