Toxic Afflictions

Chapter Two

Ron staggered down the stairs the next afternoon,wipping the sleep from his eyes.He\'d stayed up so late,thinking about how he\'d felt last night that he hadn\'t fallen asleep until 5:00 a.m..Why had Harry speaking like that affected him so much?He\'d come to the conclusion around 4:30 a.m. that Harry was just good at talking like that.He could make anyone feel something.But why did he have to be good at everything?

\"Good afternoon.\"Mrs.Weasley said through pursed lips.She didn\'t approve of her children sleeping in so late.She\'d tried to get Harry to wake Ron up a few times,but he\'d just been too tired.

Ron mumbled a reply and took his seat at the crowded table.Harry was helping Mrs.Weasley wash the dishes and Hermione was nowhere to be seen.A plate of sandwhiches appeared infront of Ron.He hungrily began to devour them.Harry finished with the dishes and took a seat across from Ron.

Mrs.Weasley gave Ron a dissaproving look.She always said Ron had no manners when guests were present.He hardly considered Harry a guest,though.He was there every summer all the time.He was like a brother.A good one.Not one that turns your teddy bear into a spider.The cool kind that you can just hang out with.And tell stuff.Yeah,he liked that.

\"\'Mione and Ginny went walking.\"Harry told him.Ron muttered a reply,but his mouth was full of food so it sounded more like a muffled grunt.After he swollowed his last mouthful he looked across at Harry.Gods,did he look good.

Harry was wearing a black tee shirt with some Muggle band name on it and a pair of tight blue jeans.The shirt snugged tight to his toned chest and stomach.His jet black hair was its usual messy self and he green eyes seemed to sparkle.Ron had to quickly close his mouth as a smile played on Harry\'s lips.

\"What you smiling at?\"Ron asked.Harry dropped his gaze.

\"Oh,nothing.\"Harry said,the smile still apparent.Ron raised his eyebrows at him but ignored it.

\"Any plans for today?\"Ron asked him,taking a swig of the orange juice his mum set infront of him.

\"I was thinking we could do some one on one Quidditch.\'Mione and Ginny won\'t be back for a while so they\'re out.\"Harry explained.

\"Sounds good,\"Ron replied.\"just let me go get dressed.\"And with that he ran upstairs to get dressed.

Ron stared at the pile of clothes on his floor.He\'d completely pulled apart his wardrobe looking for something to wear.Lately he\'d been caring a lot more about how he looked and his second hand clothes just didn\'t seem good enough.After contemplating he finally decided on a brown tee shirt and a pair if baggy faded jeans.

Looking in the mirror on his door,Ron sneered.He hated his clothes.Everything except his hand made jumpers from his mum were once Fred\'s or George\'s or Charlie\'s.

\"I hate being poor.\"He told his reflection angrily.

Ten minutes later Ron ran back down the stairs with his Cleansweep over his shoulder.Harry was waiting for him with his Firebolt and a ball.The two made their way out into the large back yard of the Burrow.

The game was tied at thirty points apiece.Ron had their fake Quaffle and was heading down to Harry\'s goalpost.Both boys were muddy from the wet ground.Ron had a look of determination on his face.Perhaps this time he\'d finally win.Finally beat Harry.He threw the Quaffle in,past Harry and lost control of his broom.Ron crashed into Harry as the Quaffle went in the goalpost.The boys collided,falling to the muddy ground,Harry on top of Ron.

For a moment Ron looked into Harry\'s emerald green eyes staring back into his blue ones.He was panting like crazy and that odd feeling overcame him again.He felt his stomach flip-flop at the realization that Harry was on top of him.

Then,he did the unthinkable.Ron leaned up and placed his lips upon the other boy.It was amazing.Ron\'s head was spinning and he felt as if he\'d float away.Harry kissed him back after a second,brushing his tongue against Ron\'s lips.Ron allowed his tonuge entry and was amazed as Harry;s tongue expertly massaged his own.He\'d never felt a kiss like this.Not even with Hermione.When she kissed it was good,but nothing like this.His head was spinning like mad and he completely forgot about everything else.It was like nothing else in the world mattered but the two of them,rolling around in the mud,kissing each other.

Just as suddenly as it happened,Ron came back to his senses.He pulled away from Harry abruptly,panting.Harry had a dazed look in his eyes as he looked back at the other boy.Ron quickly pushed Harry off of him,staring.

\"What the bloody hell did you do that for?\"He shouted.A shocked expression crossed Harry\'s face.

\"What are you talking about?You kissed me!\"Harry shouted back at him.

\"No I didn\'t.I\'m straight.\"He said firmly.

\"Well so am I.\"Harry said,standing up.

\"Fine.\"Ron said,standing up as well.

\"Fine.\"Harry turned on his heel and stormed off into the house,leaving his broom in the mud.

There you go,you all asked for it so I delivered.Sorry it took so long to post this short chapter but I was suffering from writer\'s block.My friend gave me the idea for this story so I haven\'t had any sudden brain waves for this story.Hope you all like this one.Thnxx goes out to:
